- This Junna reaction is genuinely my first time ever seeing them perform as well as my first time seeing this particular performance of theirs doing "Through The Fire And The Flames" by Dragonforce. What a bundle of joy and energy she is! Powerfully fast beats played with tightness and flair. What's not to enjoy about this?!

When I do my reaction videos I don't press pause because I don't want to interrupt the natural flow of the music as it was originally intended by the artist. I try to vocalise my thoughts in real time as I listen to the song, and then summarise my reaction afterwards.

You should be proud...you reacted to the best drummer in the world...you have a lot to learn...she is a machine
If you don't smile while watching her your soul is dead. She is a bundle of pure joy!
I totally agree. I just discovered her tonight and can't stop watching reactions to her stuff lol. You can't help but get pulled into her joy and the smile is inevitable. Until her, Metyl Cohen was my fave. -So now I have two :)
As you seemed so curious about her setup I remembered a comment I'd seen on someone elses reaction
"Paul Kerkhoff
I finally got in touch with her setup guy, Hiroshi...and she is using 3 overhead mics, 1 condenser mic in front along with 2 overhead cameras, and 3 cameras floor level...hope this helps.."
She is at an International Concert level.
Bro I've watched her play this shit at least 100 times. EPIC
I smile every time I watch her... can't help it
One of my favorite drummers, so much joy and passion. And energy/endurance and technical skill.
Junna loves what she does 😊
That girl is a keeper!!!!
If you can keep up with her..that is! Bravo!
Holy Mary mother of..! Oh, the JOY! Endorphine kick.
Thank you!
Have a nice evening :)
Every cover Junna is doing is amazing. Check out more from her. There is a rather new one on her channel with Painkiller.....
my fav one is "gengis khan" from iron maiden
I read somewhere that there is a condenser mike on the floor in front of the bass and 3 overhead mikes, and they are using 4 or 5 cameras. Its quite a setup as described.
This is correct.
Even Gee the drummer from Dragon force has a video up of him watching her.. loved it to. You should check her out in a band setting under Trident, Voltage.
that drum kit took a real beating.....she hits hard for a young girl
Jaysus, she's a ball of energy. I will have to see some more of her. Outstanding drummer
What Junna does is not just for show. She's living in the song, soul and body. I think that's the key to her talent.
Her latest drum cover song PAIN KILLER(Judas Priest) 🤘
GIIRL IS INSANE ! ! !
I got out of breath just watching her.
Gee loved this video because she was smiling and was like a proud dad.~
You miss this.. How dare you.. 😅 She kills all Drummer!!! 🙌 🙌
you will be lucky to be that talented
Junna!!!!!! The Neutron Bomb of drummers! I could watch her play all day! Any and all Junna vids should be reacted to! She has an original composition called Demon which is great as well. Hope to see more of her!
100% agreed and seconded. I'm seeing quite a few other Babymetal fans in here. 🤘🦊🤘
3 area mics and i'm sure the levels were adjusted in post to match them up.
Cymbals have that garage dirtiness to them. This was awesome.
1st time seeing this young little drummer.and she absolutely crushed it.ahe had style and flair.and endless engry.keep up tje great work.🙏❤😊
She's not young... she's 22 now, probably around 20 when this was done... she's just trying to look like a little kid.
what the hell was that. unbelievable.
Sheer joy and passion. Love this!!!
She does a few takes of each song after recording the drums. You can see the mics pulled away on some of her videos. She's that good.
She's having such a blast, it's so good to see XD
every drummer finishes the video crying
they suffer at least 2 or 3 times when they understand the gap beetwen her and them
it's so funny!
I'm always amazed when people watch this that have never seen the DragonForce video. And it is always so east to know because of the drinking the soda moment.
JUNNA .... the love ❤️ child of AKANE and HARUNA 🤣🤣🔥❤️🐺🦧🍌🙏
And Tamu Murata 💪👏🔥🧨👑🌟🥇
@@marekbroda4541 TAMU...... God mother!!!🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🤟🤟🤟🐺🦧🍌🙏
Such intensity for a full 5 minutes. This must be quite the workout.
I know nothing of drums kits, but I heard one reactor posit that the mic is a high end one that is placed perhaps between the toms? If that makes any sense, lol. Great reaction, just found this amazing talent tonight while watching Marcelito Pomoy _The Prayer_ reactions and can't stop watching her do her thing now, haha. Talent of epic proportions. Damn. Imaging what she'll be like at the amazing Metyl Cohen's age!
She has three overhead mics, a condenser mic on the floor, and then three overhead cameras and three floor cameras.
3:39 is an homage to the official video when Sam picks up and drinks a beer. I haven't seen anyone getting that reference in reactions (even Rock/Metal fans)
If you like Junna, you will LOVE Yoyoka, another young Japanese drummer who is just amazing. She comes from a musical family and has been playing the drums since she was three. She is 12 now and developed into something VERY special. At 6 years old she did an amazing cover of Dazed and Confused that got her rave reviews. At 8 she won the Hit Like A Girl competition in Los Angeles, the youngest to win since Senri Yamaguchi. She is literally a prodigy, as she doesn't read music but plays by ear and can do a complete cover after listening for 2 days. Last October, for her 12th birthday, she did a series of sessions with some of the best session musicians and singers in Japan, covering Burn, Jump and several other classics. You have to check her out. She has also been giving drumming tutorials on her youtube channel since she was 5 or 6. You have to check her out.
Absolutely agreed. Yoyoka is super impressive.
Yoyoka is amazing
I saw a comment on another video where someone talked to the person who does the production for her vids, and there is an overhead, and 2 different ones on the floor purposefully placed off camera
Lots of reactors ask "Where is her mic?"
Just an FYI, Junna uses a combination of overhead and floor mics to capture as much of her kit as possible.
One member of Dragonforce drank a can of beer during their performance !LOL !! OMG !!
All the evil dudes in history will be reborn as Junna's drum heads. ultimate punishment.
From what i understand. I read in other comments over the course of years. Someone said one mic is over head and one right under in front of her kick drums. Her new videos she has a new set up where you can see her mic's
Ah, nice one.
Hi, check the playthrough drums from "Venomous" the drummer is Eleni Nota from the band 'Nervosa '.
She uses 3 overhead mics. Nyango Star is definitely recommended to check out
A lot of drummers have asked, where are the microphones on this video. I don't know, but people have commented they're overhead. I know in future videos you will see them in place on the set.
I think the thing that gets overlooked, she is a professional drummer in ever since of the word.
Yeah, she's very entertaining
Yes. As David commented below, Junna has just released a cover of 'Painkiller' by Judas Priest that will really get your attention too. czcams.com/video/b_nXz4uyQVY/video.html
If I did anything with the same energy as Junna plays with the drums. I’d be skinny.
A comment on another reaction said the mikes were above her head and gave all the technical jargon to go with it. If I remember where I saw it I'll pass it on 🙂
You can see the mics here 【 JUNNA 】Genghis Khan / IRON MAIDEN - Drum cover czcams.com/video/mp-_mwTeIpY/video.html And i thought they only had fast trains.
I think she's at least a teenager, if not in her 20s. The twin ponytails make her look younger.
Some people are still living in the 20th century.... Stop insinuating this is a pre recorded playback. Mikes are overhead.
You could get tired watching her drum at this speed
She use 3 overhead mic, and one condensator mic in front
She's "Yun-nah" in English pronoynciation, if we all agree???
Dääämmm you dood.. 😉 👍
And G. Alonzo really loves this particular performance... 🤘😎
for what i have seen writed she is using multiple microphones both on the ground and overhead i have seen that it is said that one of her microphone is a "ground type camera mic" so maybe the same that film her foots? i'm a musician but not a drummer ( instrument i had neved played like any "drum type" instruments) i'm mostly a strings ( and one "wind instrument (bagpipe)) musician ( 5 strings banjo, ghuzheng and before bass guitar (and singer too in jazz/rock style (joe cocker,/tom waits)) so i CAN'T say anymore sorry!
Luv your appreciation... try Trident - Voltage. Bit more Junna. Cheers :)
L'energia e il sorriso che trasmette Junna sono impagabili!Se ti interessa c 'e una versione di questo brano rifatta da El Estepario Siberiano, dagli un'occhiata Steve!
Junna looks young but she is not, she is at least 27 or 28 years old now , she started playing drums at 15 long before she joined the band Kakumei (now Trident), and she formed Kakumei in 2013( first show ) at least , and left in 2020. do not confuse with Junna the singer this one is 21 years old now. 🤘🤘
She will turn 26 this year's November.
Actually, Junna just turned 20 this past September 26th, according to a Reddit post I recently saw.
@@MrJfs5150 she started playing drums at 15 and joined kakumei in 2013 , 9 years ago , for your accounts she joined kakumei at the age of 11 , before start playing drumms , the people made confusion with junna sakai ( the singer ) but sakai born 2 november 2000. The drummer junna birthday is in fact 26 sept. But she has more than 20 , 26 at least , but for my accounts is 27 or 28 , but 26 can be the correct age if she joined kakumei with 17.
There's no way a musician hasn't heard of some of these artists unless they've been living under a rock
I dunno what to tell you Dan, but this was genuinely first time I’d heard this individual. There are many thousands of epic musicians out there that we all would be lucky to hear about, but it’s not possible to be aware of them all sadly. Not hearing of a particular artist does not therefore make someone unable to play musical instruments themselves. There’s no correlation there.
She is not that super young as she might seem. I am unsure of her actual age, but I believe she is close to 25 years old or so from what I have read. So I think she is around 23 or so in this video. Which is still young in the grand scheme of things, but not 12 - 16 years old like some people seem to think.
That being said, she is a good drummer regardless and indeed has a lot of showmanship. Always fun to see her play.
You are right, she was 22 or 23 at the time of this video and had very recently left the band Trident in order to concentrate on session work full time. She started playing the drums at age 15 and started winning competitions at age 16.
yes I've seen that Junna carries kid on her back. kid looks like her. try searching with "CZcamsにて外国人の方に頂いたコメントを翻訳していたら「Twitterを見たら本人にそっくりの子供がいるみたいだぞ」と話題になっていました。".
I think she has a little bit more ,Junna looks young but she is not, she is at least 27 or 28 years old now , she started playing drums at 15 long before she joined the band Kakumei (now Trident), and she formed Kakumei in 2013( first show ) at least , and left in 2020. do not confuse with Junna the singer this one is 21 years old now. 🤘🤘
Junna is 26 now. She started to play drums at her 15.
@@ogimati5175 she joined kakumei with 17 ? I dont know the laws in japan , if she can join a professional band under 18 or 21.
DragonForce's drummer reacted this cover song too
She’s like Keith Moon reincarnated.
I know this video has been out for a little bit but have to say it! GO BIRDS!!! FLY EAGLES FLY!!!
🦅🤘🏻
I read, it was hearing Cozy Powell which got her into drums, but is a lot like Keith Moon
1000% from performance 🥰
The 24yo cosplay girl Junna is an amazing drummer. She brgan learning drums a fifteen year old.
The part where she is drinking a cola (I think?), is a reference in one of their videos, where one of the guitarist takes a break to take a sip of beer before playing a solo.
As Arnoldo mentioned, Junna used to play with a band called TRiDENT. If you want to see her absolutely beastly kick-work, their song Voltage is where you should go (TRiDENT's new drummer is also a beast) czcams.com/video/9k9txMouU34/video.html
Can't think of a better power trio then Trident.
They used three overhead microphones.
She's probably using Earthworks mics... they are very expensive but supposedly you can get away with 3 mics on kit.
Not a drummer recommendation but check out "Tina S" doing this same Dragon Force song on guitar as well as some of her other guitar covers.
If you want more Dragonforce-esque music from a Japanese band check out Babymetal "Road of Resistance Live in Japan".
Eleste Parios is someone to check out if you haven't seen any of his videos yet.
Alan Cassidy is pretty rad. The Black Dahlia Murder
close your eyes and focus on the sound... its a central condensor mic, guessing aimed just in front of her face
She's older than she looks in her covers. The pigtails have a lot to do with that. If you look on her Instagram, she has plenty of pictures with her hair down, and that makes her look older. She's still young, but she's -legal- somewhere in her 20s. Great drummer, one that I would have loved to play with when I was in my 20s and could have had a better chance at matching her energy.
What I heard to the guy who helps produces the video uses overhead mics
Fun enough? Let's make it more fun with El Estapario Siberiano 😁czcams.com/users/shortsh4eFCGiuwDk?feature=share
@2:08 Apparently, there is more than one take one with mikes and then without, why others have said "where are the mikes" your not the first too ask this
Micro canon au dessus
A parte dela bebendo igual no vídeo oficial da música hahehahe
She records with mics and then does the video without them and dubs the original cover over the video
Nope
@@rolandkarlsson7072 Just magically records with no mics then I guess. Sure
@@LLAGor1lla There are mics. There are three mics overhead and one at the front camera. She has told how she recorded it. The cameras and the mics are positioned so that you do not see the mics and the other cameras.
I wonder why no one yet has asked - where are all the other cameras? Ah! She must have made several videos with just one camera! Not!
She has just been clever where to put the cameras and the mics.
Mics inside the drums? Ian Paice said something about that in one of his videos, I think...
i have seen a few of these of this person and the where is the mics keep on coming up
maybe they slowed down the music and filmed it in slow mo
Whole room mic
Sounds like a typewriter
Lol
The classic comment: "Where are the microphones?" Ok - you said it, that is OK. But at least one got so disturbed by it that he stopped the video several times and could not concentrate on the playing. BTW - it is overhead.
Actually, there are three mikes overhead and a condenser in front.
She’s like 26
It'd be so cool if you reacted to Yoyoka's drum cover of By the Way, Burn, Stone Cold Crazy (TV size), Virtual Insanity, or Uptown Funk.
Nice react, please react for Ayu Guzfans girl guitar from Indonesia Dragon Force Through the Fire and Flame too. She is 13 year old and very amazing too. Thank you.
Please react Isyana Sarasvati ft Deadsquad for song il sogno, lexicon, unlock the key, and other songs. All very very amazing. Thank you.
I wonder if Junna has a couple sisters named Maya and Julya ]:P
3 overheads and condenser in front.
New to your channel! Have you watched the drum cam for "C*ntcrusher" by Infant Annihilator? If you have, good on ya! If not, Holy Jesus Mary Joseph!! You gotta react! Mad love from Oklahoma!
I’ve not seen that actually (side note: what an insane name for a song 😂). I’ll line that up 👍🏻
What i understand in previous videos she has to big over heard mics in the sutdio.
So many reactors miss the joke about the music video. Not sure why 😅
Pourquoi cette obsession du micro ?
時々ヨダレが飛び散ってそう笑
brother, How about to react Indonesia band, " Voice Of Baceprot - God, Allow me (please) to play music. 3 girl hijab metal band🔥🔥
Yes! I just started getting into them through another Reactor.
