Hidden Ray Gun Secret

- Cool little easter egg in Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Zombies in TranZit, Die Rise and Buried maps. How to get Ray Gun from an Olympia wallbuy. In order to get it, you need to create a brand new profile with one bone rank to BO2. Then launch either TranZit, Die Rise or Buried map. Stay in first room and keep buying Olympia shotgun and it's ammo. Eventually it should give you a secret Ray Gun! If it doesn't, quit the game and try again. This is not a 100% but I've manage to get with this method on at least 5 different profiles.

Here's how to get it (almost guaranteed):
- create a new PSN or Xbox account that has one bone rank in BO2
- launch either TranZit, Die Rise or Buried
- stay in first room slaying zombies, keep buying Olympia and ammo for it
- eventually it *should* give you a Ray Gun instead!
- if round gets too high, leave game, try a different map and keep buying the ammo
- once your zombies rank gets too high, it stops working

PS. I've tested this method on 5 different newly created Xbox/PSN profiles and got Ray Gun 5 times

I don't know if anyone has explained how it works here yet (it's in the COD forums and what-not) so here's how it works. you have to be bellow rank 3 in zombie mode. buy the Olympia then you simply buy the ammunition for it 15-17 times and you will unlock the super perk; "ray-gun wall-buy" which will give you the ray-gun for 500 points instead of the Olympia.

This is awesome, I done it about 4 years ago and I got it once, then if you play the same map again in a row, there's more of a chance of you getting it every time, it's a Easter egg that Treyarch put in the game
does anyone else think that the Bo2 ray gun isnt as cool lookng as the Bo1 i know they are the same but it seems like the BO2 ray gun is less shinier and more blandish

This actually happened to me, I was playing with my sibling, and it was an offline match, but the building you start off with in transit, I got a gun off the wall and it gave me a ray gun, we don't know how it happened we just ignored it after.

+saul bart Bartolo you have to be a low level or not play in a while, then you go buy the Olympia and there you go. it's also prone to happen on local because there is no ranking system, so you just start at the beginning.

All you have to do is have someone or you buy an olympia. Then (on tranzit) go to the payphones in the starting area. Then keep holding fown square then releasing after about 3 seconds and keep pressing square youll hear richtofen or maxis say something then youll be able to buy it off the wall

Wow, I made a new account for Zombies and I tried this and, to my surprise, it actually worked!
I was playing die rise for some memories and on round 2 and nothing but a pistol I decided to buy the olimpia and I was very shocked when I got the ray gun so today was the first tim i heard about this. I was also offline

buy the olympia. use the bullets until you have 2/32 bullets (the number of how much ammo)
buy more ammo until you get the ray gun. done!!!!
Permaperk for low-rank profiles (Bone or cross bones). Buy Olympia rapidly & using it's ammo will give you the Raygun. It disappears on round 16.

It only works till round 10 aaand your zombie level has to be lower than the skull.

so my experience with this was when at a certain level in bo2 in some maos if you were to by the Olympia before anything else it would guaranteed give u the ray gun this was in a private lobby with me an a friend we were both on console and i know for a fact he had no exploits this was in xbox 360 days so i dont remember all the details but it worked in nuketown amd transit for me

I went on die rise with some randoms and on round 3 some guy stood on one of the pieces of rubble near the window at spawn by being revived while on top of someone and he kept looking at the floor and moving forward and then he got the ray gun. I could've sworn I heard the mystery box

When i was playing with my brothers, they both got on the bus and the bus took off without me in it.
So i was surviving alone with an olympia. I was running low on ammo on the olympia so I try to buy more, but instead I get a RAYGUN. To this i still try and do that again. It was on round 6 i got it.

I had gotten the ray gun in tranzit when I lost all my guns and perks. I had said "Well the Olympia probably does more damage than the M14." And when I got it, I got the Ray Gun and thought "Is this a glitch"
What you guys need to know is that if it's a easter egg, then you can still get the ray gun off the wall with a skull rank.

Just continually buy olympia in starter room. Shoot it, reload, then go buy the ammo, make sure you have the points to buy it. Wish it worked in bo3 and 4.
