1:03 - the moment Schumi throws the cigarette away and says "now let's get serious"
😂
😂😂😂😂
ROFL
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂 what could that actually be that he threw out?
In year 2000 an overtake like this meant gold. No drs, slippery conditions and 10 points in the championship instead of 6. Once more Michael showed why he was considered one of the best drivers of all time.
he is the best ever.
'one of' yeah if he wasn't so much of a cheat
@@p4cks You mean David Coulthard was the cheat who jumped the start and trying to deliberately slow Schumacher for Hakkinen to catch up.
No drs and no traction control back then...
😅
Most drivers peel their helmet covers down a straight. Schumacher does it midway though a corner.
That's why he's the greatest
@@luke-johnbuckle7939 a lot better
@@luke-johnbuckle7939 meh
I thought he did that because he fully expected to pass DC on the straight so wanted to be ready
At the slowest part of the circuit, it's not a big deal.
0:45 - Schumacher's car control was quite impressive.
Que powerslide sensacional ...
muito bom mesmo
It was quite easier with Traction Control tho
I think that is one of those visor strips he's tearing off his helmet :)
Domingão vai ter minha dose de F1 com gelo e limão
I love the way Schumacher tries to find more grip on the outside of the corners to get a run on DC.
Barney Ward The master
What is the point ?
Coulthard was driving defensive line to avoid overtaking
Do you
Dc only drove like this because he jumped the start and tried backing schumacher into häkkinen
This engine.. what memories, so awesome, makes me cry of joy.. those mornings with my dad watching F1 at its finest.. miss you so much Dad
play automobista 2 you wiil see some of those memories back. most of all, respect for your dad
Really sad about what happened to Schumacher. Hope he gets well soon. One of my childhood icons.
Foo Fui
Ah yes, he's my hero too back when F1 reaches its glory in 2000-2006. That ski accident though...
Foo Fui Yeah, I miss him so much, the memories.....hope he's getting well.
Fuck off
Matthew Panini Report him for spam if you didn't.
carlos carrasco x
Schumi the type of guy to do a visor tear-off mid corner
anotherone10 i just replay this moment haha
His right hand was in the way anyway, so why not use it for something. He was so competitive in every detail. #keepfightingmichael
That was splendid to watch.
0:47 That control was amazing
traction control helped but yes
his signature - get on the power earlier and let the car oversteer itself out of the corner
@@GenAvAviation 😆
There was a time for me when it was Michael Schumacher, Mike Tyson and Michael Jordan.
And Michael Jackson
@@horus6862 And Michael Phelps
And Michael Johnson.
Beautiful sound and the king himself behind the wheel!
Today's Drivers : I have no grip
Michael : Who cares !!
Irwan Zirwanda haha true
Senna: Hold my beer...
Haha they had traction control though.
Jeffrey Vences not in this race as the TC was introduced from 2001 Spanish GP
@@deathrooster14 Senna is overrated bum
That West livery was simply amazing
You can just simply tell, Michael was on different level. The driving style tells there is absolutely no chance anybody can stop him.
What? Hakkinen and Alonso beat him twice each, Villeneuve once... people say whatever comes to their minds! LOL
Nothing impressive here. He just overtook him on a straight line.
@@LaDimensionDeHuesos hakkinen called him the Michael for a reason
@@tyler_drdn It wasn't on a straight line, you have to watch it from another angle where both cars can be seen.
@@LaDimensionDeHuesos Schumacher wasn't battling for the drivers championship at 1999 and 2005. At 1999 he got injured mid season and at 2005 he didn't have any chance to even claim the title. You are the one who says whatever comes to your mind...
Incoming V10 comments
Well, I totally get the discision for restricting the engines but I miss that sound...
Subi_fan bruh I hope you realise they are essentially silenced by the kids who weren't alive to watch Schumacher dominate.
Subi_fan Yeah like they exist. You mean the people who don't cry about the engine every video a v8 or v10 is heard.
If God does not exist, who created this engine?
Sgr A the V10 era was the era when Ferrari was so dominant cars couldn't get into the 107% rule.
amazing
2000 is the greatest f1 season of all time just a pure magic season of Grand Prix racing and Micheal Schumacher and Mika Hakkinen the two greatest drivers going for the title
So what about 1975,1976,1987,1989,1994?
We will never see competition like in 2000, 2007, 2010 and 2012 ever again in f1.
Amazing!! I miss Schumacher 💖
Legend driver
What a deiver. Love how he moves left and right to make the other driver hesitate
Beautiful sound V10
Schumacher is Legend!
Wow..just watching the cars go full throttle around the oval section is amazing.
It is a sport to get high and watch, I’ll tell ya
The real F1.
0:47 that handling is amazing!
Why?
Tiger2446 because this guy is stupid and leaves his comments at EVERY comment of EVERY F1 video
oh, poor pleb
Majestic engine sound
So perfect and smooth driving for Schumi!
#KeepFightingMichael
Coulthard actually jump-started this race and later got 10 sec stop-go penalty for that..
He was slowing MSC down to give Hakkinen (who was in 3rd position) a chance of overtaking Michael.
Too bad Hakkinen's car caught fire, after that it was pretty boring race. Ferrari 1-2.
Not just boring, but short too; I looked at F1 2000 gameplay and saw that this race was only 52 laps; from then on it was 73.
@@josh_jacobb Race had 73 laps in 2000
@interfector that was karma
Come on people I'm a Mclaren fan but for God sake we speak about Michael Schumacher One of the best drivers ever lived in the formula 1 history.
and yet people compare him with hamilton or senna, both of this guys play in a different level hahahha
The best
@LordGroyper absolutely true
Agree
1:18 just shows the actual skill level and lack of fear with f1 drivers, especially Michael. You barely touch that wet grass and you could be sent into a huge crash, the car sliding around at those speeds too before getting onto the straight. Crazy
Miss him too much. So glad I lived my childhood watching him.
1:03 Micheal reducing weight while in a race..
Suppy e He just changing aerodynamic mode
aero mode?! lol wtf are you talking about. He just removes his visor tear-off to have a new fresh one.
Stormy Molnjavichen Yeah but back then there were different aero-modes.
Sure
Stormy Molnjavichen I saw the joke went over your head
I just watched this again for about the thousandth time and just like every time before, it brought a tear to my eyes.
I was fortunate enough to attend this race and see my favorite driver of all time win the race. He truly was “The Rain King” on this day and proved why he was the absolute best in the world.
Hearing those 3L V10 engines absolutely SCREAM at 17,000rpm down the straight and out of the pits was something I will never, ever forget.
I’ve expected racing from LeMans cars, GT1/GT2/GT3, vintage racers, Top Fuel/Funny Car, NASCAR and you name it, but nothing really compares to the sound and fury of those V10s.

Schumi was the king of changing conditions.
What a car, what a driver... Love these clips :D
That was pure classy driving. Great battle, a clean pass, and creating plenty of space to avoid any contact whatsoever. Michael is all legend in the making 💯
isso sim e um piloto passo limpo nao jogo o outro pra fora..parabens shumi linda ultrapassagem
Where is the grip? OMG so difficult to drive those cars with that amount of power.
Diego Artazcoz you know, the track was wet
They also had traction control back then.
Tapan Panduranga Didn't sound like the TC was very effective
Traction control came in the year after this, 2001
They're driving on a semi-dry/greasy track on full wets. For some reason, inters weren't available in 99 and 2000. So those tyres are definitely struggling for grip and overheating
Those engines sounded like angels screaming
MICHAEL SHUMACHER THE BEST 👏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻
THIS is how F1 cars should sound like! V10! Formula 1 at its best!
Bring back this engine , with this sound and this look ! Schumi thank you for all the moments you have given to us. You are my hero until this day !
The speed of Schumacher's car on the straight is a sign of how little downforce he is using. Amazing.
I could listen to this all day. It's therapeutic.
He spent most of turn 7 in opposite lock, impressive throttle control
The entire sound and the circuit👌🏼
What an awesome video thanks
A daring move from the legend himself. Schumacher is by far the G.O.A.T
that sound and engine...good old times
Schumacher il più grande campione di Tutti i tempi!!
E lo sarà ancora.Non esiste pilota come lui'!!!Sei il migliore
Man...this is one of best onboard video i ever watch. :o
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE release the full race plus pre-race show!!!!! I was 5 years old at this race.
Real - old f1 !
No DRS .
No V6 failure .
No Pirelli .
Freezer pirellis are good tyres. Are just legends made up by germans that are bad tyre. Like the legend that theirs car are reliable
John doe
Pirelli aren't good
Freezer if we still had Bridgestone tyres they would look the exact same as Pirelli tyres now, they have toch be slick, zo they would be almost identical if not the same.
Freezer who said that? you? pirelli> michelin/bridgestone
John doe
Joke ?
Bridgestone > Michelin > Goodyear > Pirelli .
I extraordinary love this original F1 sound
Come on get that Mclaren out of the way!
carlos carrasco Fuck out of here with your bullshit spam. No one wants to see your stupid video. Fuck off
Coulthard jumped the start and already had a penalty
Schumi, rainmaster, controls the car in the wet like a go kart!!!!! And for those who say all those nonsence about electronics, just watch his drive in barcelona 96, monaco 97, spa 97, and then you can talk!
Agree with u
Why is it that back then the car's seemed so much faster then nowadays or was it just Michael had the greatest car? Look at the speed it's mindboggling. Schumacher has and always will be the greatest F1 driver ever. Keep fighting Michael I love you.
Liberty unlocked the archival footage and haven't looked back. In love with this new media format.
Awesome onboard Schummy
I loved running that circuit in rFactor. F1, sports cars, even GT cars. All were great fun.
Sound sound sound
Also amazing to see the respect Schummy eve left DC room in the first cornet after the overtake.
Yeah.. The Ham would close the door and cause they other guy to spin. Incoming hamicocksuckers kbye.. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
This is the level of aero that should be allowed, Schumacher was close behind in every corner in this clip.
Goosebumps .. I love schhoey
I Just LOVE That Engine Sound
Still one of the best overtakes from the maestro ever...
Amazing Schumacher again..He is a "TRUE LEGEND"
i miss this sound so much
La autentica F1, que nostalgia
Non ci sarà mai un campione come Schumacher, grazie per le emozioni che mi hai fatto vivere.
Concordo in pieno! GRAZIE SCHUMY
Great video
Great overtake from the all time hero
Miss this track so much.
Gracias!
ABSOLUTELY MAGNIIIIFICENT
Please bring back this track !!
It's Never gonna be after what happen in 2005 season.
I miss this track 😞😭
That engine sound, Lord have mercy 🤤
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!
SO GLORIOUS
Stunning.
I really liked this track. The second half of the infield section could have been slightly modified, specifically the last super slow switchback/chicane. But the rest is pretty good imo!
Great car control from Schumacher and also a nice bit of legal defensive driving from DC. Obviously wasn't enough to stop the pace of the Ferrari but the tactics of intentionally going slightly slower when MS was looking for a fast exit and staying slightly away from the apex to prevent outside overtakes was cool to watch.
No KERS, no DRS...this is pure F1 !
Legend !
Wow what a champion miss u schumi
This sound gives me goosebumps
That sound... 😻
That was so sick high-speed overtaking like that
Bring back that sound!
i miss these engines
WHAT A SOUND!!!!!!!!! And what a battle!
This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen
what a fantastic pass!
amazing time
That is what a formula 1 car should sound like and this is what a real racing driver looks like keep fighting Schumacher
1:47 you can juuust sense the slight bump he got from DC, great driving by the pair of them
Beautiful
