      Railgun is actually decent now since it can 2 hit gunships with unsafe shots. Hulks also go down to one clean safe shot to the eye!

    hellbomb explodes now once it is armed when destroyed. if enemy destroys it after it is armed, then it will just explode and do its job.

    Gunship patrols weren't "reduced" in frequency, but in squad size. They used to come as a pack of 5/6, now only having 2 or 3 is feels way better (while keeping the same ambiance)

      And they're way easier to kill. I noticed that they doesn't hard lock on players anymore, they're dumber.

      I used to dive both one after the other, but now I switched to bugs mostly. I don't want to play a game where I can't even control my character because Arrowhead thought it would be great to add more rocket ragdoll units.

      yea arrowhead nerfed the best weapon against bugs (flamethrower), not we can expect a nerf for spear and autocannon. I guess they will nerf weapons till no one plays that game anymore - then they wonder why.

      i would buff nerf it like, give us one more shot and let us target mortars and AA's and reduce the range by 50m-100m and the lock on time takes 0,5-1sec longer

    For the new walkers, I have found shooting at their legs is a surefire way to take them out. One grenade pistol shot works, rwo autocannon shots, one amr shot if you aim just right, they seem to have the same armor there as regular walkers.

      I usually shoot at the crotch area of the regular walkers, works decently. Haven't tried it against the armored ones yet.
      However I feel like they somehow screwed something up with the Eruptor. Previously you could two-three body or shield shot devastators and now I've had a devastator tank 5 hits...

      @@etuanno probably nerfed it. Anyways, crotch is easier to hit but you have to hit the underbelly sorta which is hard to do at some angles, so legs are a more consistent bet

    Instead of shooting the head of the reinforced striders, you shall shoot their leg or their crotch. You can also shoot one of their rocket pods and it will insta kill them

    Apparently the way you take out the striders is by shooting their unshot rockets, it blows them up.

    The ragdolling makes small mistakes horrible and the amount of explosives getting launched at you makes it very difficult to even push jammers

    I cleared a bot 10 solo yesterday (destroy Air tower/Dropships) immediately after unlocking it by doing a solo bot 9 op. Watching your stuff months ago inspired me to try to be able to solo the hardest difficulties and now I can, thank you!

    Actually ran the Exploding Crossbow in a diff 10 run yesterday, used the Senator as my primary mostly and crossbow as a replacement for the grenade pistol.
    Worked decently with Ballistic Shield, need more practice against those Scout Striders though.

      I run that with Autocannon with Eagle Airstrike, Rocket Sentry and either Autocannon Sentry or an orbital.
      Bugs I also use Exploding Crossbow since it's utility of blowing up nests / bot fabricators is really useful.

    i’ve tried a few loadouts and here are some i would recommend for the following types of missions. i would love to see you try one of them!
    spear, HMG emplacement, OPS and 500kg. (regular loadout)
    walking + 380 barrage + orb laser/eagle airstrike/rocket pods + any support weapon (bunker loadout)
    double smoke + OPS/500kg + spear/AC (ore mission)

    8:10 scout striders feel as though they got some kind of silent buff lately. They’re way more accurate than I remember, and they’ve stripped my shields and headshotted me many more times than I care to admit

    For the AAs and mortar emplacements, if you are in the area you can call an hellbomb the same way as a gunship fabricator. The barrage is just a convenience to not go in the AA area.

    once you get your orbitals maxed, you should try the P strike instead of 500KG. with the radius buff its so good.

    For the new heavy striders shoot the rockets on the side it will explode and kill it.

    Don't know if its helpful, but I had a lot of success with the AMR. I noticed I only needed to shoot the body of the Rocket Striders twice to kill them. I'm fully aware that its still flinch/stunlock city against these dickheads so not sure if its wholey viable as a solo mission!

    the bug nest has the added defence of being inside a pit and surrounded by the weird rocks bug terrain makes so you can't anti tank stuff from afar, automaton bases have tall cannon towers and fabricators that are normally fairly exposed

    I play automatons on difficulty 10 usually(9 before 10 was available) I like running light armor and sniper build with AMR and DCS. It is chaotic, but once you get used to the bots they are very rewarding. I think terminids are harder than bots now actually.

    The only bane of my existence doing solo on Helldive (and soon Super Helldive) is the gunships.
    For some reason, I always get 3-5 of their factories, resulting in map restrictions because stealth is not gonna save you. I know solo isn’t recommended, but I love the thrill and challenge of doing them solo XD

    I like using commando against the flying autobot ship tings because they are laser guided so you basically can’t miss and it’s faster than the spear

    Ideas for Arrowhead
    1) make the nerfs a rotation cycle with a target planet to liberate to un-do the 'nerf.' that would actually give us something to work for, and give Arrowhead better data than simply usage statistics.
    2) make a variant of every weapon that ISNT antitank for support, primary, and secondary categories. Antitank options get orbital/eagle, sentry, and support weapon categories.
    3) primary weapons DO need utter garbage options, but that should be the basic versions of each weapon category, and then build up from there with a designated power ceiling for each category. Example, base liberator at 65 damage/650 sps is the standard for AR style. Pen 4 would be 30% less damage, pen 7 would be 75% less, and so on.
    I enjoy the IDEA of support, primary and secondary flamethrowers as it frees up spots for making fun kit loadouts.
    Those three things would clean up enough bullshit for build diversity and let Arrowhead nerf to their little hearts content, making an ACTUAL war between us and them.

    From the looks of it I think the following might be interesting to try. Plasma Punisher - to stun lock the new striders and blow up their missiles + Lasercannon to take down gunships (their engines are now much weaker and easier to swat down) . AMR also seems viable instead of LC cause it has the same takedown potential.
    For backpack it's a toss up for me but I think either the rover or personal shield pack would be good choices. Both have merits, one clears hordes the other gives you steady aim with the LC which is always useful. Regular guard dog may also be interesting as it seems to fair very much better vs Bots than Bugs but with so many bots I have no idea.
    For heavy lifters it's personal preference, I'd probably take orbital laser or railcannon and 500kg. I think I'd go with the explosive damage reduction armor passive on this one, those rockets look like they hurt.

    For the new walkers, I haven’t tried it myself yet but I played with a random who was using a railgun. Using it he was able to one shot most of the armored walkers.

    Theres actually no pilot inside of the scout strider. If there were, theyd drop once you destroy the strider itself (if you arent the network session host)

    I see a gameplay with the railgun and the countersniper riffle. Because of the quantity of hulk and scoot, it was really efficient. Perhaps it's time for the railgun to shine again :) And berserker too
    also, I don't know if it's all mission but I had hellbomb callable on a few AA emplacement.

    I have run crossbow, amr, jetpack/supply pack for so long now... still works great, even better vs airships now as they go down with 3 shots instead of 4. I am definitely considering trying out the ballistic shield again since the crossbow is 1handed now as well. Was able to solo a couple of 10s(even got one on my steam deck) but haven't full cleared one yet. Good run!

    I continued running the sickle alongside the autocannon as I was used to, and it works well enough. If you run a spear or other heavy support weapon then yeah - you definitely need a medium pen primary.

    The hulks melee in circles if they get stuck and if one hit another they will start hitting each other until something else does enough focus or dmg to them that they turn around and run after you

      Nope, i think it's a 2+ shot if you aim for the leg joint

    For Ballistic Shield gameplay, you could try the Crossbow, which is one handed now. Or just the SMG, and use the side arm to deal with Scouts

    Have you noticed your medium pen weapons bouncing off chaff now? At least with the bots I've been using the slugger and some times it takes three shots to put down the basic infantry bot. In this video I watched your scorcher do the same at least once.

    You can shoot the rockets on the sides of the new walkers, blows them up even with light penetrating weapons. Kind of a challenge when they're facing you and shooting at you, but it's probably the fastest way to dispose of them.

    the scorcher can take out a gunship if you shoot them in the body instead of the engines, if you land all your shots right you can take one out with less than a magazine

    I think the reason you succeeded was due to the mission type. (not trying to say you have bad skill or sheer luck or kinda stuff DUH) That mission type doesnt require you to engage in prolonged fights. If you play such as Geology examination mission with spear & barrage, LOADS of devastator and new rocket striders are just gonna slice and dice you.

    Man is engaging every single gunship patrol he sees when they pose zero threat and only attack if you attack them or go into their very obvious cone of vision/are in very close proximity

    This is controversial but, it's natural to feel underpowered and overwhelmed by the enimes as the difficulty escalates pun intended. I actually love it.
    You're force to exceed pure skill and stragety limits. Otherwise why play hardest difficulty?

    sniper does 1-2 shot the new striders when shoting "the crotch" and two hits on gunship engines downs them aswell.

    Why not use the Commando? It can one shot Hulks, Gunships and Fabricators, it also has a short cooldown. It also leaves a free slot for a shield pack.

      it's in the options. It's titled stupidly though. You need to put the point "Mission Info Visibility" under HUD to "visible".

      The throw shares your momentum. I press both at the same time; the split second it takes to actually enter the dive is about the same time it takes for the ball to leave your hand

    The reasoning behind the breaker nerf told us that they’re going to nerf weapons that get too popular. Meaning now that they nerfed the flamethrower and spear is the next „meta” they will nerf that. Sad but true

    How come bots will instantly detect you when you throw a stratagem? I swear that wasn’t as thing… I’ve definitely killed chargers by sneaking up and throwing a precision strike on top of them, and the chargers never detect me until impact

      @@_Jay_Maker_ but I haven’t seen that for bugs, I have seen it for bots, and I think if you’re in cover and you throw an offensive strat bots don’t detect you.

    I can still solo both factions fairly easy, auto cannon and slugger or dominator for bots, stuns, some barrages and an orbital laser or some air strikes, bugs i still run fire shotty, napalm, cluster bombs and commando. I can still extract 80-85% of the time solo.

    Automatons at high difficulty is legit just run and do objectives now. It's simply just not fun. They added even more CC to the automatons, and i hate it. Getting ragdolled constantly isn't fun. Even on lower difficulties because of the new striders and artillery tank.

      Nah man. I am loving fighting my way into stuff. It definitely isn't fun with random groups... But 9 wasn't either. Just a bunch of d**k heads running around aimlessly.

      It's supposed to be. Helldive got so boring I dropped it a month ago

      @@giedrius2149 the problem isn't that the game is hard. The problem is they make the game hard in a way that isn't fun. If low difficulty is easy and boring but high difficulty makes you want to walk away from the keyboard because it's not letting you play the game, that's not good design.
