- The LAS-98 Laser Cannon is an absolute blast! For the short period I tested it I discovered its bot slaying capabilities. I didn't realize how familiar it would feel being an active Railgun user. If you are accurate, and you are thoughtful, you cannot go wrong with the LAS-98.

This and the railgun have been my recent go to's on the bots.
The Railgun has always been my favourite weapon. Especially for Automatons. The Laser Cannon feels remarkably familiar to the Railgun. Was a simple enough adaption
Railgun is insane on bots. It can one-shot anything that is smaller than a Tank
@@cptheadache4584 Yeah people keep saying it's bad but I love the thing. I pair it with the plasma punisher and supply backpack. Practically unlimited ammo, stims, pistol nades, stuns. With experimental infusion is now most used loadout on bots.
@Zetheek We personally skip the Experiemental infusion as a safety practice. We run level 9-10 regularly, so our accuracy is a huge deal using the LC and Railgun. Something that the infusion booster negatively impacts
but railgun can do nothing to gunship
Some immensely satisfying kills and my respect for this weapon has increased 100%. Will try it out.

Definitely recommend trying it! The versatility is spectacular. It may not be an immediate solution to a problem, but it certainly can solve the problem

I've been loving it! Gonna throw you a tip. When dealing the with Factory strider, don't be afraid to get close. Blow its lower guns off and move in close to avoid its top mounted cannon. Once in close, it'll focus on you, helpless against the beam. I cannot understate how useful this tool it.

Bot weapons have been across the board buffed for the last like 6 patches

@@lyonidus3073 I just stated what has in reality happened not what version of the team you've build up in your head. They mostly buff and always have. There's just a few prominent nerfs that have been hyper fixated on, most of which have been partially reverted.
I always use it, I usually combine it with the Sickle and use them alternatively, so I always fire with one while the other cools down.
@@Virsidus it's a very versatile combination. A few of our membership in the Regiment do a similar thing!
Little tips to know for the berserk, aim the abdomen, he take damage x2, idk why but its like that
Yeah but the shield backpack is a must with this load out because you don't stagger with the laser especially against Bots.
Yeah, i use shield against bots, and jumpack with bugs, but Lasers in both cases.
I guess tanks are only penetrable from the back orange bit. Where do I shoot for the artillery tank?
Thanks of course, but in today's reality of the 10th level of difficulty, the railgun shows itself much better
@@DeLorean-nz8fk preaching to the choir. I'm a railgun main. I haven't made a proper breakdown video on it because I DONT want to give Arrowhead a reason to look at it. It's very popular in the Regiment as we primarily fight automatons. That's the real war.

Btw how is the railgun currently, compared to the first time it came out. Against automatons. I've played during April-May so kinda missed the whole overpowered thing, recently been using Railgun instead of AMR, and finding it to be better against Hulks and destroyers. Turrets, Tanks, Factory Striders and Gunships seems to be rather hard to deal with though. So wondering how it was before?
I use laser weapons for both bugs and robots. Laser cannon as main weapon, and the Scythe as backup when i need cooldown the cannon.

Yeah it can basically damage everything the autocannon can including the landed dropships for that mission type
@magicstick9922 my second favorite bot weapon. Personally, I won't bring it to a level 10 mission. I'll be the designated railgun, But a few of my mates in the Regiment have more patience than I do, and thankfully, they bring it. The Ole swiss army laser.

The last patch made all the laser weapons great again.
Actually you can damage the cannon and destroy it, it just takes a lot of time, like 30 seconds to a minute of fire.
Thanks for your video but still TTK is a little bit long in high difficulty combat.
Yes, I agree. But I wouldn't use the Laser Cannon on Super Helldive. It's a suicidal weapon at that difficulty. It's a beautiful weapon for 7-9, but 10 turns Its TTK nature against it. I will stick to my Railgun.
So this and railgun cover each other's weaknesses pretty damn well then?
I'd say so. Although, a team comprised entirely of these two weapons would suffer in some regions. killing light armour hoards would be tedious and expensive. Our squads have found great success in using a combination of the Railgun, LaserCannon, HMG and AutoCannon. I'd consider this a very well rounded team.

@Lastlight89 I don't see that happening to the LAS-98. At least not directly. This latest patch has only improved it. If anything, it'd get nerfed as a consequence to Lasers as a whole

Don't WORRY. Arrowhead has actively updating statistics on every weapon ingame. They were always going too
You might wanna delete this video before the devs watch it and decide to nerf the weapon because "it's too reliable"
