FULL SPEECH: New SNP leader John Swinney invites SNP to join him in 'new chapter'

- John Swinney invited the audience to “join me as we open a new chapter” and said his priorities were to create “a vibrant economy”.
He said: “If elected first minister, my focus will be the economy, jobs, the cost of living. It will be the NHS, our schools and our public services. It will be addressing the climate crisis.
“Do not let our disagreements dominate. Join me as we open a new chapter. That’s my job, that’s our job, and I plan to get the job done.”

Nationalism will never come to Scotland. There are many people who don't know the strategic importance of Scotland to the safety of Britain. As long as there is a Monarchy, Scotland will be part of Britain.
This is a fact. Particularly now with our relationship with Putins Russia. Just look at the geographical importance on any map, together with military bases and communication cables to the US and other alies.

It's again the geographical position of Scotland that requires our nuclear deterant, air bases and the defence of Northern coastal waters.
