What an honour to have Richard Dawkins on stage with us. It was a blast!
This song was a highlight at concerts! You all performed it so well night after night. And I would get tears during the “We Were Here” part at the end. Thanks so much! ❤️❤️
Just saw the tweet about the Crab named after You... How that critter is named please?

Looking forward to see you guys at Wembley, Floor! ✊
You're a blast! You're an honour!! 🙌 *KIITOS* 🙌
Am I the only one who starts getting all emotional with the concept of the song?? How can other bands ever compete with what Nightwish have turned into? This is philosophy, storytelling, poetry, science if you will...This is all what metal could be to me.
I second every word of that, thanks.
I get choked up and cry multiple times during this song, watching or just listening.
Вот сей час я увидел знакомые мне лица. Я переживаю, чтобы вы не распались. @@the-trustees me too, big time!
@Johnny Finn Nightwish will, one day, be hailed as the reason for the success of symphonic rock. If you haven't done it yet and want to sob uncontrollably, watch the movie "Imaginaerum." After dozens of viewings, I still choke up multiple times. If I had a "Make A Wish" opportunity, it would be to hang out with Emppu for a couple of hours... he seems SO happy making others happy that he holds a special place in my set of beloved musicians... maybe even the top one. 😀
This isn't a song. This is a journey.
*WE WERE HERE.*
This is not a rock concert or opera! This is an almost transcendental symphonic experience!
Words aren't enough to describe it.
I’m 70 years old and grew up with the Stones and Led Zeppelin ect but seeing Nightwish has restored my faith in current music. Sensational
Check out Therion too if you like Symphonic Metal. Just as sublime and sensational as Nightwish. You may also appreciate the Folk Metal, Neo-Medieval, and Melodic Death Metal genres.
You stole my words! SOO AGREED with, age 71.
I'm 72 and in total agreement. I likewise grew up with the Beatles, Stones and Led Zeppelin but also Stravinsky et al. This was an amazing performance and wish I could have been there.
65yrs old here... Just recently discovered nightwish. Absolutely incredible!

Yes. Totally agree. The music is a journey. It’s like reading a book for the ears
One does not simply listen to Nightwish without having shivers

This song is an anthem for Humanity. The line, We Were Here, is tragically beautiful.

That - hit me hard 😟
It literally made me cry.
14:16 - 14:47 The Evolution of Music
This has to be my favorite part of the song because it's so subtle that you might not catch it the first time around, but it's arguably the most brilliant part of the song in terms of storytelling.
Within about 30 seconds, you can hear a beautiful representation of musical history.
It begins with a harpsichord playing Bach's Minuet in G, followed by the voices of Chrismas Carolers singing a snippet that's reminiscent of Carol of the Bells to represent the Classical Music of the 18-1900s; it then moves to mid-20th century american Country Music with a short snippet of a banjo diddy ; the early 21st century follows afterwards with a riff from Metallica's "Enter Sandman" to represent the Golden Age of Classic Metal; it then ends with the drumkit briefly switching from acoustic to digital as it plays an EDM style beat to represent Club Music and the modern era.
This is not a part of the song I see people talk about often and I think it definitely deserves more praise because it's absolutely genius.
Actually it starts before 14:16, exactly at 13:47.. it starts with tribal rythms and singings (probably they want to evoke the ancient music), then it lasts with a kind of Gregorian chants and afterwards those that you mentioned!!!
In total is exactly 1 minute!
I really would love to see someone do a breakdown specifically on this part of the song. I think I'm missing stuff, and I'd love to have someone point it out. I certainly don't find all the things mentioned by Claire there.
Wow! I really never noticed this! Thanks a lot!!!
Brilliant observation I missed some of that but this was the second time listening to it now on to the third time.

Tuomas: Troy, which instrument do you want to play in this Song?
Troy: Yes

The first guitar parts are played by him, and the bagpipes of course XD

The visuals at the "We were here!" finale always get me. Thank you, Nightwish, for reminding us of our humanity, our better and cosmic natures, and giving us words to dream by and live by.
In the grand scale of things, the gist of this composition, we are nothing but that. Footnotes to future generations. Or alien civilizations finding out a monke with big brain actually managed to off themselves. No matter what, we will eventually fade out on this Earth. The big question is will we continue on as a species through raping other heavenly bodies. But "Life" as we humans consider it, WILL end billions of years before Sol revokes its contract.
What nonsense are you talking about, what cosmic nature?
Nightwish are a gift to the world. The best band ever in my opinion.
Of course Your opnion. This is good band but only Good band. I can count more then 20 bands beter than that. My Opinion :)
@@MrPowerslave1971 Nightwish is big but I really don't get why it isn't that well-known. Maybe because it's from Finland. "Ghost Love Score" was the love at first sight as when we heard Nightwish first time and loved them.
"The Poet and The Pendulum" was the mourning for the old times of Nightwish and calling for the new dark adventures
"The Greatest Show on Earth" was the great announcement of the epic era is about to come as Nightwish has finally established their best line-up!
Now it is the time for "All the Works of Nature Which Adorn the World"

Yessss
This!! I’d just humbly add Song of myself. I think its lyrics are deep.
The best line-up so far. Most of us already made the assumption that they have reached their best line-up before and were proven wrong. I don't know if it is possible to get even better. But Nightwish is always full of surprises.

Anyone who thinks that a scientific worldview is cold, emotionless, and spiritually unsatisfying needs to hear this song. One of the most beautiful and moving things I've ever heard.
A cool song does not change the message of despair. The universe was created, as were we.
@@jedicouncil66 If you see it as despair, you are missing the point of the song. It's about joy and wonder. It literally calls us humans "the lucky ones".
"When I was little, I was fascinated by stars. I thought they were magic. I kept coming up with all these crazy theories about how they worked. I wanted to believe in magic. @@jedicouncil66what despair? The despair is only found in the preaching of people so arrogant to the point of claiming "I know what god think".
One of the most beautiful pieces written by a modern composer. Tuomas is an absolute genius
I think you know a band is good when their live version is better than their studio.
That's because forms most beautiful are being evolved.
It's just not the same when I can't watch Floor belting out from her soul, truly epic. Makes an experience of it
Yes although makes me wonder what the hell are they doing when they record on studio if it sounds better live hahaha
@@naranjosaurus4778 It's kinda the other way around. If a band sounds incredible in the studio and worse live, they're just showing they can only do well after 10 takes. Live, they come out and get one shot and have the pressure of.. here I think 20,000 people?
@@naranjosaurus4778 It's thinner, tinnier recorded. I don't know what they're doing. A lot of bands are slower and heavier live (Iron Maiden is a classic example) but the recording studio still has a full sound.
If we assume Nightwish are the Aesir and Vanir of Norse legend, then clearly there are Ice Giants in the technical crew.
I hadn't heard of Nighwish, just saw a recommended video. I am not entirely processing what i have just seen. I mean the word epic seems trivial....I am just.....astounded....
You have just embarked on a great journey :)
Not only a great journey with nightwish, but the also the other bands that are up there with them. Oh, so many of them.
Welcome, Steve! :-)
Welcome to the army of fans

17:29 Those young women in the audience, quite carried away with emotion, one of them reciting Richard Dawkins' speech along with him; that's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. If science and music together can still move people like that, maybe humanity has a chance after all.
That moment brings me to tears every time
The opportunity that everyone is looking for has existed for years and initially consists of self-reflection
and after that taking knowledge about how the mechanisms work,
all of which are based on lies and deceit and therefore will never end,

Every time the ending happens, "we were here" I just get so overwhelmed with emotion and I sob. I don't know why. I can't help it. This song just really hits me
Annie Pollard Same ❤️
It should be emotional. "We Were Here" is a celebratory chant saying we existed, we won the lottery of birth and lived, overshadowed by the inevitable end.
It hits me every time as well. To me there is so much anguish, and yet a hint of defiance in that final cry. Humankind's unified voice shouting out to the uncaring and empty vastness of the Universe that "We Existed". The loneliness of being the only known sentient species, mixed with the resolve that even if there are no other eyes and ears out there (and I dearly hope there are) to witness our existence and eventual passing; the Universe created something worthy of note.
It warms my heart to know that I'm not the only one who feels this way about that ending and so I thank you and wish you all the best. :)
I sob hysterically every time.
Gives me the goosebumps. If the song ended there, it would easily be my favorite NW song.
That moment when all those pictures pass by of random people and everyone screams 'WE WERE HERE!'always brings a tear to my eyes. Probably my favourite Nightwish song of all.
It happens exactly the same. A few months ago I discovered this band (I had listened to individual songs without paying much attention) and I am fascinated. I am 43 years old, I have never been to a show by any band and a few days ago I bought my tickets to see Nightwish in Argentina next October. I can't explain the emotion I feel !!

It's up there, but "The Poet and the Pendulum" exists, so I have to politely disagree :)

she sing like a dragon possessed by a demon. Definitely one of the greatest singers any band could wish for
Man, this song is definitely a masterpiece, I can't stop listening it, again and again. I saw you on live for the 1st time 2 weeks ago in Paris, and I'll never forget it. Please never stop... Being!
J'étais là aussi, c'était incroyable !
It's not her voice alone its the way she uses it. The various low and high notes she can reach and in different styles and even different languages. Simone Simons, Sharon Den Adel and Amy lee are awesome too for example BUT with no disrespect to them...Floor is the most flexible of them all and she can perfect any style she gets into...from operatic to heavy metal to hard rock to pop to jazzy-ish to growling...she has it all and she's worked damn hard to achieve it. her pairing with Nightwish is just marvelous because it introduced a lot of people to the band and genre and all the side projects that the band members had and have. Floor Jansen and Nightwish are for us today what Freddie Mercury and Queen were back in the day. Oh and no disrespect to Tarja(which I've only this year managed to see live and she magnificent as expected) or Anette(still waiting to catch her live). I like them too and we wouldn't be here to talk about any of this if not for their contributions as well
@@vlad-ovidiuadam6489 dude, your comment is pure and condensed truth, from the first to the last word. Also note that I've been listening to metal music (not the heavy one or a more instrumental one, but mostly to power metal, gothic and symphonic metal) for over 10 years, with the first group I listened to being Evanescence (whose frontwoman is the above mentioned Amy Lee), and the first actually loved to the deep being Within Temptation (not to be said, Sharon's band), so I totally get your comparison, and I can compare them as well with my musical tastes and history. They all have a wonderful voice, however it's not the bare voice which lets you understand the power of these bands, but the way they decide to use them. Just think of Whole World is Watching from WT, of Bring Me to Life from Evanescence: they are well known songs, but they are the ones which let you appreciate the frontwomen's voice the most, since they are literally able to crack your heart.

I spoke to Richard Dawkins at a meeting in 2015 and I asked him about his collaboration with Nightwish. He was incredibly impressed by the band and by Tuomas' in particular. When he was invited, he expected to just do a 'voiceover' but was in the studio with the band, so could see how they work. He was very much looking forward to the Wembley show, although I think he was a bit nervous!
Yes, he said in an interview-esque thing that he was quite frightened of Wembley, that having been the largest crowd of people he had ever addressed in person.

When people say music can heal the soul, for me, this is what they're talking about. This song removes so much negativity, anxiety, and existential fear from my ego that all I'm left with is appreciation and tears for the message and feeling left behind. I've not been moved by music like this in two decades.
This is it EXACTLY. Thank you for putting into words what I cannot.
Its nine years, since i lost my mother. I was 34 then.
A woman, who gave her all, to raise a boy as a single mother.
She struggled so damn hard through all her life.
And then, when she finally found peace, she got cancer.
I never understood, how a fighting human, who gave it all, could be punished like that. I had so many damn questions, and doubted everything and all.
I was never religious, and neither was she.
Ever since i was a young boy, we talked about life and death. And she had her own way, to think about things. She teached me, to belive in the universe and not to question my human being.
And still - the day she died, i lost all „faith“. Just because of the fact, that she died way too young (56).
And then i found this song.
And i had to realise, that she lives on. In me, and in every person she met on her way.
And that was the moment, i realised, that we can be eternal - if we are pure and if we care.
We where here!
And damn… how she was here!
A wanna thank you, for this masterpiece, and for all it made me realise!
Whenever i come back to this video, i shed some tears. But no sad ones.
I am lucky, that this woman raised me, and gave me the capacity, to understand such a masterpiece!
I love you guys!
- and sorry, if i chose the wrong words. English was not my mothers language.
This is VERY moving my friend. I am so sorry about the loss of your dear mother. May you honor her memory each and every day, and keep her in your heart and mind forever.
I cried reading your text and you are right, she is here with you, in your heart and in the universe. You had a wonderful mother and she raised a wonderful son.
Thank you so much, for those kind comments. They mean a world to me.
And i just love the fact, that this masterpiece „brought us together“.
❤️
Yes, this is it! Hope you're having a great time in life!
Peace be with you and your mother. I share a similar experience; while my mother has not passed yet, it was just a little over 6 years ago that she lost her 90% of her small intestine due to an undetected blood clot. While she somehow miraculously recovered from her near-death state. The truth was that her life would never be the same again. It's been an extremely uphill battle since then with moments of grave despair and anguish. Nonetheless I am forever grateful to have been given the time to truly cherish and love her. All I hope for now is that her days will come to a close with as little pain as possible. Much love to you and your shared emotions.
Kindest wishes,
NA
Not every day you see a heavy metal concert where an evolutionary biologist gets the biggest pop of the evening.
spread the meme ...
Oh - "meme" was a word invented by Dawkins in his classic work "The Selfish Gene" :) in 1976
If ever a "nice" song was made about somebody who is still alive, Dawkins deserves it.
And the title of the song - and its premise - is about Dawkins' follow-up to his classic "The God Delusion" ... called "The Greatest Show on Earth" (which is about the real story of evolution by natural selection)
I have both in hardback, and have read them cover to cover. Dawkins deserves this! I just love that he appeared on stage to finish the show.
When class meets class, magic happens. Nightwish is class, Dawkins is class, it was magic. Q.E.D.
@@jazzx251 Ehh, I dunno, I've heard things about Dawkins. A great scientist yes, a great person, maybe not so much.
@@femoman what "things" are you talking about?
@@jazzx251 A few things:
- He's spoken out in favour of eugenics (admittedly more positive eugenics, like breeding humans to be smarter or stronger, as opposed to more negative eugenics intended on breeding out certain traits or conditions, but still)
- He's straight up said that it would be immoral for a person to not abort a fetus if they knew it would be born with Downs Syndrome (despite the fact that a survey found that 99% of people with Downs Syndrome are perfectly happy with their lives)
- Said some things about Islam that skirt the line between legit criticism of religion, and Xenophobia.
- Said some poorly worded statements that basically implied that he believed some rapes were somehow worse than others.
@@femoman Well, now that you said this all... I acutally like him better.
- I suspect with eugenics he is not suggesting selective breeding but gene editing, which is an exciting technology.
- As for down syndrome, those people are rarely (or not at all) self sufficient and are a burden to their families and society, even if they are happy despite all that, there is merit is suggesting that one should not bring someone into such an exsistence given the choice.
- I don't know what comments of his are thought xenophobic, but in the current political climate people are often very sensitive and quickly jump the gun on calling things all sorts of phobic, while at closer examination they are really not.
- Arguing between the severity of crimes is quite subjective. Though i think raping a minor can be considered a compounded offence compared to other cases of rape for example. Alas, i don't know what comments of his you refer to, so I might be proven incorrect.

Theory is not proof of anything-
@@ari4681 Theory is not proof. Proof precedes theory. Theory is a collection of proofs (or facts) used to explain something more complex, the hows and the whys. Proofs are also small individual pieces of the puzzle. There is no one big proof of complex phenomena. Many things in science will never be proven, because of our limitations of measurements and understanding. What science does is to tell us, as far as we know, this is the best explanation, things that are tested and have found to be so far so good. But it is also a challenge to scientists to prove that what we know is wrong, so that we can improve our understanding. Things that have been "proven wrong" also are not completely dismissed, but tweaked and used with caveats and limitations. For example, Newton's laws are "wrong" when considering certain situations, but they are still very valid for normal day to day use. Einstein's theories are wrong when considering the quantum world, but perfectly fine on the macro level. And what we have is not the end, but just a step towards the next on the road to understanding.
@@ari4681 If a scientific idea gets the title "theory", it has damn well been proven. The germ theory of disease and the theory of relativity are also "just" theories.

A lifelong E.L.O. and Jeff Lynne fan here who has only recently discovered Nightwish having decided to take a look at what what all the fuss is about after hearing so much about them and......OMG. What a rabbit hole this has become. Long live Floor with Nightwish and the return of Marco (please 🙏) when the time is right 👍😊
I've been a lifelong Nightwish fan and recently discovered ELO and Jeff Lynne/Travelling Wilburys. He's an absolute legendary musician.

WE WERE HERE!
Greatest song on Earth 🌍
One of 4 or 5 best songs I ever listened to in my 48 years. I get goosebumps every time.
I'm curious to know which are the other 4 songs.
About a year ago I "rediscovered" Nightwish after watching a random video here on YT. Haven't listened to Nightwish for like 10 years before that. I think the song was The poet and the pendulum, (didn't even know they had their third singer, after Anette) and since then I've listened/watched Nightwish songs almost daily. If that random video haven't been Nightwish, I might never have found out about Floor Jansen, for me the greatest singer there is. I might never have found my way back to Nightwish, for me the greatest band there is, and listened to songs like Poet..., Ghost love score, Storytime, Tribal...too many to write here.
Thank you Nightwish, for making the best music I've ever listened to.
I think recently a lot of people "found" nightwish, there seems to be a recent trend especially with "reaction"-videos.
I feel you. I used to love Nightwish untill Annette came along. I stopped listening to Nightwish completely. Then one day I heard Floor on our national show Beste Zangers, saying she was now the voice of Nightwish. I've always been a big fan of her, loved After Forever, so I just had to check out her performances with Nightwish and damn I am SO glad I did. I absolutely LOVE Nightwish again! In my opinion they are better than they've ever been, even though I really liked them with Tarya too. Floor is just out of this world and Troy is such a great addition. So sad Jukka had to quit though, but this drummer is very good too, they are all just amazing!
Back in 2008 a co-worker introduced me to Nightwish. Wish I Had An Angel was the first song of theirs I heard (he had a copy of Once) and I immediately went out to buy it, only to find that the store I went to didn't have a copy of that, but they did have Dark Passion Play. As soon as The Poet and the Pendulum started playing, I thought, "that's not the same singer..." That song still hooked me though, the musicianship far exceeded anything I was exposed to at the time. I started looking more into the band, and found that Tarja had left. I liked Anette fine, never had a problem with her style, but as I went deeper down the rabbit hole I got more into the older songs, and I also discovered After Forever, specifically Dreamflight, and Floor's range blew me away. So when I found out she was going to be the singer for Nightwish, I was beyond excited. Seen them twice, both times with Floor, and those were two of the best shows I've ever been to. Waiting for show number 3, whenever that is...
Absolute masterpiece
Year after year i listen to this song with my students as an excercise (Im a biology teacher) and year after year i witness the birth of some Nightwish little fans that in a few months discuss with me their favorite albums and songs.
You are the best teacher in the world!! I would not refuse such a lesson.
shameless request: can you share your lesson plan for that particular session? love to make more Nightwish fan with better efficacy.
"We Were Here..." And I was there! Hair on the back of my neck standing up on end all night! And then to see Richard Dawkins at the end was such a magical moment! I'm so desperately hoping the December gig at Wembley is possible... Here's hoping 😀
I’m hoping that it will still happen but I think it probably won’t.
@@katrinarickard2286 At least you've got a chance, I was planning on seeing them in NYC in September. It hasn't been officially cancelled yet, but considering that the US is still setting records for new cases, I don't see how there's even hope for a September show.
@@katrinarickard2286 December is still 5 months away, and a lot can happen in that time. But still really diggin the new album, and for now, that'll do 👍
Andy Jenkins we’re lucky that we got Human :||: Nature out at least. I just wish we had some clarity on whether or not the tours are cancelled.
@@MsCatstaff Yeah that's gotta suck! I really cannot believe what is happening over there in the US. From over here in the UK, it just looks an absolute nightmare! Really hope y'all figure summit out soon....
Floor Jansen is clearly the best thing that could have happened to Nightwish...
...she was clearly born to become and stay the voice of this gigantic band.
💓
Floor Jansen started in After Forever, a great band as well. And check out her work with Ayreon (Arjen Lucassen). We Dutch are _very_ proud of our Floor!
totally agree :)

Thanks for this info, and yes - reasons enough to be proud of this fantastic artist!
👊😎👍
Not to forget: *Sharon den Adel* of *Within Temptation* - a voice to fall down on the knees, and a band / songs to get stoned without drugs...
...so the dutch have 2 of the best female voices of the world, and one of the best bands ever.
And *this* is really *more* than reason enough, to be proud.

She's a Goddess Valkyrie with a superior powerful voice, full of extreme feelings. Love you all Nigthwish, you are the best artist of music and deep feelings ever..... U're the only one that can make me cry while I sing with you.....🤘🥰😘
We were here, and I was fortunate enough to be there. What an amazing show they put on that night.
The entire album is Nightwish's masterpiece so far. And Floor's voice is so rich and colorful interpreting the lyrics, it touches something deep inside of me. :)
Wow. I didn't know Richard Dawkins had his own metal band. In fact I think all great scientists should have one!
And all great metal bands should have their own scientist. :-)
How can he not, he was married to a movie star.
yes .is beautfuls no coment
He’s not a scientist. Georges LeMaître, Gregor Mendel, Werner Arber, and Stephen Hawking are scientists.
@@Powerranger-le4up
He is, he's a professor of evolutionary biology. He taught at Oxford.
Tuomas is a master of music. After going thru a solid dark time with the poet and the pendulum. He wrote a song to make us realise that its a chance to be alive. And simply living is the greatest show on earth.
Thank you for playing in Poland 2022. It was amazing. 5 years dreamed of seeing your performance live! Wish you all the best.
The moment I realised Nightwish collaborated with Dawkins I exploded with excitement!
Lilo, ¿and Stitch? 🤔
Luciano Lavigne haha yep (;
@Amirus I guess many simply think that the Nightwish is just having huge ego and calls their show like that :D
Sure you did

This composition is a masterpiece in every sense of the word. The Moonlight Sonata for all of existence. Absolutely unequivocally the best piece of sonic art in 30 years. Tuomas’s compositional artistry is ingeniously divine. Floor’s effervescence and dynamic stage presence added to the entrancing operatic acrobats of her voice sending chills throughout.
Loved every single aspect of this song; oh and adding Richard Dawkins was fantastic.
My words drastically fail at how amazing this was. Thank you all for gifting this epic to mankind 🙏🏻.....truly.
It became a real masterpiece if they should use a real orchestra and choiron, because Floor deserve that. On the the other hand the combination of symphonic metal bands with a real orchestra and choir is a Dutch thing I suppose. (Within Temptation, Epica)
it is so amazing, but haw can you create something more special than this ? its impossible
To be honest... the choice of your words fit the description for this wonderful piece of music perfectly well. 😉
This song changed my life
This is Tuomas's Symphony Nr.9, his Requiem, his ultimate masterpiece ❤
I used the part of "We are going to die and that makes us lucky ones" as a part of my wedding vows. It was epic. Everybody cried.

Previously my favorite longest track was Ghost Love Score, but damn, this blows it out of the water! This song definetly is the ultimate Nightwish song.

100% sure that this is the best thing I've found this year. Insane performance
Hell yeah, i ve watched this probably 10 times each day since a year
I've discovered Nightwish last Saturday and I'm in shock from then (with Ghost Love Score at Buenos Aires).
A truly excellent band and.... what a voice!. Sometimes, I wish that all the crownd and the band stays in silence so I can hear Floor sing like a goodness. I don't have enough words to describe my first encounter with Floor's voice.
From then, I suffer the Stendhal's syndrome. What can I do, doctor?

No words. Just tears. Open the flood gates of my heart . . .
I honestly cry like a child every time I hear this song. So many things happen at the same time, it is a tremendous masterpiece. I see life itself pass before my eyes with this music!
Whether I feel excited about something in my life. The greatness, the majesty of this work makes me amplify that positive emotion. If, on the other hand, I feel bad: it reminds me that we are so small, that we are just a single grain of sand, this automatically reminds me that despite how insignificant we may believe we are, we were here, our effort is worth it.
I am a computer scientist and I dedicate myself to technology, we live in an incredible time of advances with artificial intelligence and so on. Parts of the song also make me see how far we have come in technology and how rudimentary we were before, but with that advancement also comes great responsibility.
The references to "giant mushroom-shaped clouds" connect with films like Oppenheimer or Chernobyl. It's just that this masterpiece makes me connect the dots with other art forms.
When they mention the last light of the library I think of the great writers like Tolkien, CS Lewis and many others and I can taste their talent, feel so grateful for it.
I feel overwhelmed by all this and that's why I get so excited. Seeing so many faces there and that we were here, I appreciate each person's life, from my parents and my parents' parents, my entire family tree. Even the people in the audience in this video clip, thinking that every life is worth something, imagining every life unfolding. When those people return to their homes, to their countries, each one has their own story, their own drama.
The craziest thing is that I am a Christian and I have been a Nightwish fan for many years, I myself was previously agnostic. But even far from seeing it as something contrary or incompatible, it seems that I see the creative hand of God in it and I can see Genesis itself in this music and the development of history.
In short, this musical work encompasses so many things and it is possible to see it from so many angles, that with each listen it is a new discovery, connecting new points with my own life experience, with other forms of art that I consume.
I can only feel immense GRATITUDE because all that, all those incredible advances, led to the emergence of this very masterpiece in Tuomas's brilliant mind at some point in his life. Tuomas himself and his companions are the last light of the library, he himself gave birth to poetry, he had a dream that he had to understand. They themselves were here and their songs will be remembered and perhaps millennia later, forgotten. But there is a brutal and shocking beauty in all of it.
I'm sure more people feel this way.
You put into words EXACTLY what I have been feeling since I listened this masterpiece for the first time. Incredible comment! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
20 years ... i'm a fan since Wishmaster was released and still every time i hear a nightwish song ... it's still like magic ...

Lolopopolo oh, those I can solve, don’t you worry. A lot of guessing involved in them, but once you get your head around them, they are quite easy.
...Then again, I shouldn’t be boasting, my teacher once solved one of the 5th order writing on a blackboard without looking, so... my apprenticeship still has some distance to travel it seems... 😄
Lolopopolo Might take a few minutes but I’ll try to help you as well as I can xD
Lolopopolo right, so, what I immediately noticed was that (1) looks very similar to d'Alembert’s (hope that’s the correct spelling) Equation, (which is a first order linear ordinary differential equation) look:
Here’s yours:
u’ = u + 2v + t
Here’s d’Alembert’s:
u(v) = v(-2) - t + u’(v)
The solution to (1) should be - if I’m correct -
u(v) = c_1 e^v - t - 2v - 2
Lolopopolo as for
(2) v’ = 3u + 6v + sin(t),
it’s d’Alembert’s equation would be
v(u) = 1/2u(-1) + 1/6 (-sin(t) + v’ (u)),
And the solution of (2) should be, if I’m not very much mistaken which - chances are - I am:
v(u) = c_1 e^6u - sin(t)/6 - u/2 - 1/12
To that girl in the front that was crying, I feel you, if I was there I’d be crying with you!!
talvez um dos mais fantasticos conjuntos de todos

yes, many greek words like gaia (mother earth) and aeons (centuries or more) are very often. Also what about "Enter Ionian". This could mean entering classic greece with the ionian philosophers and mathimaticians and their sceptism about the word (start of technology)
This is surely one of the wildest show, which the band Nightwish had. It still brings back great memories of this show, even though I wasn't there in person, every time I rewatch this video I get chills all over my body.
This is the most awe inspiring song ever, the writing, composition, playing, singing and meaning behind the song.
I missed this gig in London in December 2015 as my father was admitted to hospital my mum became ill shortly after.
It became a kind of anthem for me as I nursed them both through rapidly debilitating illnesses.
My dad passed away on March 1st 2016 and my mum 3 weeks later on March 22nd.
My heart and spirit broke but I listened to this song on repeat and I understood how very lucky I was to have such wonderful parents who taught me, my brother, my kids and grandkids so much.
Their brief time on earth has left a positive lasting mark thru their genes, their deeds and their teachings.
I miss them so much each and every day but know when my brief time is over that I will go back where it all started and be one with them again.
You have no idea how much this song has influenced my heart and way of thinking 🤗💕🤗💕🤘
Thank you all and to Richard Dawkins whos teachings inspired this song and album xxx
