I am one of your victims. Freemasons are the true enemy of everything right and good in the world. I find it disgusting and pitiful that a man cannot stand on his own two feet. A secret is a lie no matter how you dress it up. Freemasons have no honour. I prove this daily to everybody around me. I do not do this in secret or in the shadows I do it publicly. Constantly. I will never stop because mine is an Honourable crusade. You people are pure evil.

@@nospoon4799Sounds a bit conspiracist and delusional. There are no victims of Freemasonry. But there likely are victims of various groups going about pretending to be Masonic. A number of these groups are are into all sorts of unspeakable things.
Now, that's not to say that genuinely Masonic bodies haven't had some so-to-speak black sheep. If you truly have been harmed in some real way by a real Freemason who belonged to a regular, ligitimate, recognized Masonic organization, then please get your valid evidence together and present it either to the Senior or Junior Warden of his Lodge so that a Masonic trial can be held and the man who violated his obligations and can be expelled from among us! We want no such men among us! But don't blame Freemasonry for the actions of an errant member!
But what about the "hidden wisdom" taught "in a mystery" only to mature Christians (1 Corinthians 2:6-7 [1-10])? And why did Christ veil his teachings in parables so that outsiders would not understand? And why the distinction between milk and meat teachings among the early Christians? And why did Christ himself sometimes enjoin secrecy upon his closest disciples? Why are there secrets things that belong to God?

Tubalcain was the brother-in-law of Noah.
Tubalcain gained the blackflame knowledge from the watchers and invented blacksmithing, chemistry, alchom and was an expert in martial practices, etc... He died in the Flood because he rebelled against God and followed Tabaet.
Noah found favor in God’s eyes and God sent Angels to help Noah build the Ark before the flood whipped out the earth. Noah loved and trusted God above all things and survived the flood.
You can be like Tubalcain, the “father of the craft”, and be denied eternal life after death and burn forever in the lake of fire.

@@mylessabrosky6584 That's quite a bit of nonsense to swallow, right there! Where are people getting such nonsense? For example, before the Scottish Rite, there was no 33rd Degree.
In fact, when Speculative Masonry began to have an existence around 1590, there were only two main degrees! The third was derived from part of the original "fellow of the craft" degree and from a chair degree for Masters, and afterward came to include the Hiramic Legend after Masonry obtained the name Hiram Abif in that spelling from the 1535 Miles Coverdale Bible. So if Speculative Masonry came from the Operative Stone Masons who were Christians, how could it have been founded by Tubalcain?
But if you are going to try to make use of the old legends associated with Masonry, why not go further back and claim that Adam was the first Mason? Because he wore an Apron! No, I think we will stick with the realistic school of Masonic History!
For another example, Tubalcain was a metalworker. Speculative Masonry actually came out of Operative Masonry that built the great cathedrals of Christianity _from stone._
Any other outlandish claims to use to condemn falsely something of which you have little to no understanding?

@@prince22kvisuals23 If you are in the UK, or a jurisdiction following the system known colloquially as Rose Croix, you must have a Trinitarian Christian faith, and sign a statement to that effect. You, if elected to receive the Degrees, will have the names of the 4th through 17th Degrees read to you, and then have conferred upon you the Degree of Rose Croix, 18°. And there you will stop. To receive the 30th Degree or any of the Consistory Degrees you must have done something meritorious and also serve as Master of a Symbolic Lodge (aka Blue Lodge, or Craft Lodge. The Degree names from the 19th to the 29th Degrees will be read to you and then you will have conferred upon you the Degree of Knight Kadosh, 30°. And then you must wait before you may receive the Consistory Degrees (31°-32°). Members of bodies of these Degrees are limited in number, so you must wait for a vacancy. They do things a bit differently than other Supreme Councils.
If you are in the United States of America, depending upon where you live therein, there are the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction and the Southern Jurisdiction. There also are Prince Hall Affiliated Supreme Councils covering the same regions. Each has its own way of conferring the Degrees (but none here currently have the Trinitarian Christian requirement).
In the Southern Jurisdiction (Mother Supreme Council of the World, the one to which I belong), there are two ways you can go. One can go one Degree at a time, or, more typically, receive the "Indispensable Degrees" (4°, 14°, 18°, 30°, 32°) over a weekend, and then see the others and/or have them communicated to you later.
To petition, you must first be a Master Mason, by being raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason, for a prescribed length of time that varies from Supreme Council to Supreme Council.

I am not a Mason. I understand it is a moral system. I understand it espouses a Creator. So, by these two criteria, I see Masonry as a religion. It may not be dogmatic but it is a moral system. I understand it is a journey towards some "light" through degrees. In this regards, it seems orderly, purposeful and fulfilling in its own way.
But as a Christian, the fundamental difference is that in my worldview, I already have the light. The greatest light is to know Jesus Christ and see God by him. Understanding and receiving the free loving kindness, aka Grace of God in Christ is perfect light. I don't require degrees to reach this light but this light is the chief article and the initiation itself in the Christian life. And we progress not by knowledge or degrees but by faith itself in God's abundant grace. We grow IN GRACE from Faith to Faith.

@Kitdor Blah You mistake the requirement for a belief in a creator, as a RELIGIOUS requirement. It is not. When a man takes a Degree, he is required to swear to conceal the sign, grip and word of the degree being worked. In order to make this a solemn and serious promise, he swears it before his own god. A man's word on it's own...is not enough. So there is the reason we require a belief in a supreme being.... not worship or religious dogma. There are no sacraments, no promise of salvation and no clergy... these things combined with the lack of worship or dogma prove the opposite... that Freemasonry is NOT a religion.
Men join for many different reasons, but common among the reasons, is a desire for self-improvement. Many men find that they improve through constant reminder of the lessons learned in the rituals and through being associated with like-minded men. Of course there are other reasons....many men are ex (or even serving) armed forces, police, coastguard etc etc and they find that the cameraderie they experience in Freemasonry is as close as they are going to get outside of their chosen career. There is also the charitable aspect. Masons do a huge amount for charitable causes throughout the world, not just in giving cash, but also for giving their time and expertise. Yes, anyone can do things for charity, but so much more can be achieved in a group than as an individual.
Each Mason is encouraged to follow his chosen religion and in fact that is part of the ritual of the First Degree when a man is Initiated. Here's a bit of it.
"As a Freemason, let me recommend to your most serious contemplation, the volume of the sacred law (the generic name we give to any holy book that the Candidate regards as most pertinent to his own individual beliefs) charging you to consider it as the unerring standard of truth and justice and to regulate your life and actions by the divine precepts it contains".

    "WHAT is the Royal Secret?"
"Does it relate directly to the Deity, or Deities , of the Bible, Quran, or Torah?"
"How does it relate to the origins of humanity, on this planet?"
If one puts in the work, ie- watching the rituals repeatedly, and reflecting upon them, and even finding clues outside of Masonry, in the likes of Edward Leedskalnin... ... . One can assemble the pieces of an age old riddle.
(Except for Pennsylvania), The B.L. is an example of how ingenious the Masonic methods of secretion really are. The Penna. B.L. signs and due guards aren't done properly, and it effects understanding things later... .. .

I had the same issues with my wife. It took a lot of convincing for her to budge. In the end she let me join as a kind if give and take. In other words...negotiation lol. She likes traveling, so I let her travel and she let me join. But the caviot was, if there was anything evil I would quit, and when the men came over to investigate me with her present, the first question I asked was if there was anything immoral and if there was I wasnt interested.
But if you cannot get your wife to budge either by negotiation or persuasion than I would suggest it's not worth your marriage. I am a MM but having become one....I can say absolutely it is not worth your marriage. There are other circles of good folks you can become involved in. If you have friends who are Masons and they are of good character and your wife knows them as well, perhaps point to them as a last ditch effort to change her mind.

@Brian Bowles. Good afternoon Brian. I can understand your frustration. I am an English Mason. I first got talking about it to a friend of mine who I knew was in a Lodge near me. After a while, I was invited to interview. I told my wife I was going.. she was a little hesitant but was ok with me going to the interview. I was contacted a week or so later and was told that they were happy to have me as a member. It was then she really did get the jitters. She didn't know my friend or anyone in the Lodge. She told me she really was not happy with me joining, so, as I value my wife above everything else, and respect her thoughts, I regretfully accepted her decision and told the guys I was withdrawing my application.
Over the next few years, we met my friend and the guys in the Lodge at other social occasions..not Masonic ones. As she got to know them and what fine people they were, she began to enjoy their company and that of their families too. I brought up the subject of joining again. This time, she was fine with it. I was Initiated in 1997, my first application having been in 1990. It was worth the wait.
If your wife is genuinely not happy about it, ask her why. If you are able to answer her fears, she may come round to you remaining in Freemasonry. But do not try to encourage her to accept it...that's coercion Give her all the info you have at hand and let her make her own mind up. If she still objects, you must leave freemasonry. One of the conditions for membership is that you should have the support of the family. I fully endorse Macamay On TheWay when he says "it's not worth your marriage".
Remember the order of importance. Your family comes first... then your job.. THEN Freemasonry.

I'm still at a loss as to what the masonry craft-degrees actually are ? it seems like the degrees are courses in bettering ones learning skills? ... an educational group that empowers others to grow, and in a fellowship of support and like-minded fellows? - is this the case?

    • @valmarsiglia
      @valmarsiglia Před 4 lety +6

No, the Craft Degrees (ie the three degrees one takes in a blue lodge) aren't really courses and they're not about bettering one's learning skills per se, although if you participate in ritual there's a good bit of memorization (think of each degree as a play, with lines as well as stage directions to learn), which will naturally help with memory. To progress to the next degree, you'll also need to do some reading and memorization, and be tested on the lessons of each degree to ensure you have the necessary knowledge to progress (think of it like moving from one grade in school to the next), since each degree builds on the knowledge acquired in the previous degree. Intellectual development is a big part of Masonry, but the rituals are first and foremost initiatic experiences, and as such they'll have a different meaning for each person; that's something that's heavily emphasized (we're not fundamentalists pushing some rigid dogma). There's no specific doctrine taught beyond the cultivation of virtue and subduing one's passions to reason and good judgment and seeking to be of service to one's fellows and to society (there are plenty of opportunities to do a variety of charity work both great and small). I can't go into detail - and I wouldn't want to ruin any of the wonderful surprises contained in each degree - but the three Craft Degrees are a progressive initiatory system based around the story of the building of Solomon's Temple. The last part of your comment though I'd say is true: in Masonry you will find fellowship and a supportive environment that encourages intellectual, moral, and spiritual development. Sometimes it might take a bit of searching to find a lodge that's a good fit for you (each one has its own character), but seek and ye shall find, as the Good Book says.

My father in law was a mason and he was a lovely man who loved his grandchildren and it was never a problem that they were brought up catholic and went to catholic schools. His friends however were bigoted to the core and slated him for allowing this. He laughed it off as he was the better man. 🙏We miss him dearly and he’ll always have an influence on my life and my daughters. For the bigots, get a life!!!!

@Michael A. Kelley It's moral improvement and charity, free from religious dogma. I have sat in Lodges and subsequently at meals afterward where Sunni and Shia, Arab and Jew, Catholic and protestant have sat as friends and brothers. Religion and politics are left well outside the Lodge room. That doesn't happen anywhere else in the world. Religion is one of the primary causes of war, famine, suffering in the world. Is it any wonder we forbid all religious discussion at our meetings?

Our Creator-Savior Jesus Christ, alone, is the Light. The false "light" that these ungodly worldlings are seeking is the light of Lucifer. Freemasonry IS a religion; it is called Satanism. Mystery Babylon:
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (Revelation 17:1-5)
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. (Revelation 18:4-8)
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8)
    Amen, and Amen.
For those who are NOT willing to lose their soul in pursuit of vainglorious pursuits in this wicked world, "seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near" (Isaiah 55:6):

Nope. Masonry is not a religion. But religion is taught to Masons. The content of such religion is summarized in the the following passages from the Volume of the Sacred Law: Micah 4:1-5; 6:8; Isaiah 58:6; James 1:27. There is no Satanism in Freemasonry.
