    This interviewer is pretty great. He doesn't talk over Mike, doesn't try to lead him into saying something. He just gives him a thoughtful question and lets it go. It's a shame there aren't more interviewers like this guy.

      @lorenzodionlee3988 Před 7 lety +59

      I agreed with the view that a piece of Mike died with Cus. Their was a time when I thought Mike was overrated and a time when I thought he was great. But I never felt he was in control of his life. I think it's a shame as is with most successful he was a target for abuse from women from business from "friends" and from himself as well. I think he has a lot to contribute to the world. In boxing in relationships with training and even on the sweet science of it. The problem I see is that when people are interviewing Tyson they don't begin with the knowledge of how actually smart he is. They are talking to him from a disadvantage and end up having to play catch up, and it frustrates Mike because no one has ever broken down to him that it's NOT his communication skills that are lacking. The interviewer has a job to be able to communicate and see To it that his guest is understood. Mike takes it personally and because of his trade, boxing he is used to comparing himself to others so when he sees "stars" on TV and how they are coming across he thinks his performance is not that good. But let me say from my own opinion that he is courageous in that he still puts himself out, as a punching bag. Hang in there Mike. You made it from the garbage can to the top. You tried and won. Keep however fighting the good fight. Pass on what encouragement Cus showed you how to access, and keep on sharing. You never know who you might lift up!

In that fight Ali was hospitalized from the persistent body attack from George chuvalo. Keep in mind this is 1966-67 Ali which is the best we’ve ever seen him. Also watch Ali and cus D’amato discuss his, by then, upcoming fight against Frazier and how he flat out showed the world how joe would defeat Ali. Cus also predicted that Duran would beat Leonard if he controlled his rage and look what happened. So I’m sure that a mike Tyson with cus still in his corner could train mike to defeat Ali

      He had Kevin and Jacobs for a while however after Jacobs died don king swooped in and at that time gave mike Tyson money he never actually held himself and that was the fall of a champion especially after that snake Robbie Givens and her mother ruined his brain with all the ill and mental problems they told mike he had ( was probably on drugs they given him so he would admit himself on national television that he was mentally unstable) Mike I'm so sorry about so many ppl were there to take advantage of you however if you would have trusted everything Cuss was telling you most likely you would have retired as the best not just heavyweight but the best ever boxer if not Never defeated champion . Cuss himself told you that he would leave you with Kevin and Jacobs and his partner to be ur managers and he assured you that you would be left in good hands with those ppl that they would take care of you better then he ever could but for some reason ( givens and don king ) they just made you belive those ppl were taking advantage of you and stealing your money even tho they were the once going for all your money not Kevin. She and her mother took 200 million from you after divorce most of the cars and houses . Don king as ur promoter has made you richest boxer of all time at that time and you made between 500 mill to 1 billion back then that's a crazy amount of money fight now , can you imagine how much that was back then when everything was 80% cheaper then it is today ( In today's standard probably around 10 billion ) ALL YOU MIKE HAD TO DO WAS REMEMBER EVERYTHING CUSS EMBEDDED IN YOUR HEAD AND WHO HE WAS LEAVING YOU WITH AND YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE WITH SO MUCH MONEY !!! Instead like I said she and her mom took 200 mill you sued don king for 100 mil even tho you made him billions and at the end you were left with nothing but ppl coming for ur money , bankruptcy and all the looses and the pain you had to endure just cuz you trusted the wrong ppl at a peak of ur career those 3 years u lost while locked up who knows how good you really would have end up being cuz those 3 years were at peak of ur powers it' just sadness me watching and listening everything you went tru just cuz you had no one there to guide you tru life even know you seem and you talk like young kid inside mans body however it hurts me to say this but it was most of it was ur own doing and firing all the ppl cuss told you he was leaving u with and that no matter what those ppl could be trusted at the end 3 ppl came out as winners out of ur life Robbin givens and of course don king god knows how much money he made betting on Douglas to beat you in japan that's why he took u over there , so you wouldn't trane and not in shape with all those women going crazy for u over there while Douglas was training like never before it was all kings plan to ruin ur career while he makes himself rich as fu*k !!!

    Mike always tells it like it is, nothing sugar coated, just the honest truth. Magnificent interview as always.

    Cus taught me everything but one thing he never taught me was that when he was no longer around/here (once he died) all the people around him, his friends would turn against him and me, probably that's because this people never liked me anyway but Cus forced those people to like me

    Can feel the love in his heart. Atlas said of Tyson that he was 0-5 cause he never been through a real fight and when he did he lost, this interview proves him so wrong. Tyson has been in a fight with life all his life and he winning big now!

    Mike is so much more intelligent that he gives him self credit for. we watched his struggles play out on tv and in magazines over the years, we saw how so many took advantage of him , we watched him reach the top, then hit the bottom, but mostly we saw him overcome all that life through at him. He is a very genuine person, and He is The greatest...

    Mike kept that genuine innocent young boy mentality the way he expresses himself. As human beings grow up 99% lose the "wonderous kid spirit" but not him. Fascinating person! IRON Mike will always be our "CHAMP"!

    One of the most honest athletes when talking about himself. Mike gets better as he ages and i enjoy listening to his life events. He's a accurate boxing historian as well. Iron Mike ...always have and always will my #2 Greateast boxers of all time considering his journey. Great interview!
