  • George Foreman joins Max on Boxing as he reflects on his historic career. Foreman says he understands what it takes to reinvent a career as he moved on from boxing and is now a salesman. Foreman weighs in on boxers today including Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury. Foreman finishes by saying he never wanted to fight Mike Tyson who was a "monster" in the ring.

I met him at a basketball game in Burnett, Tx. We were sitting on the other side of the gym and my student recognized him. He was just sitting by himself, wearing a hat and watching one of his sons play. We went over and just wanted a picture. We ended up sitting with him for the entire second half, had some cokes and hotdogs. Extremely nice man. Never once mentioned boxing. He talked to us about his family. Showed us pictures of his horses and grandkids and gave my student some advice. Even though she was a tennis player. Extremely nice man

Foreman knocking out Moorer after taking a beating most of the fight was one of the great moments in sports history. Foreman's response afterward, going to his knees and praying, made it even better.

You do know that was apart of gameplan? He purposely "took a beating" until the later rounds to conserve energy. He didn't respect Moorers power. It was a bait and switch tactic.

You have to remember, Foreman’s comeback was a joke and a freak show attraction until that very moment. Now we look at his comeback as proof that a comeback at that age is possible.

Mike Tyson in his prime is easily the scariest fighter in boxing history. I've never seen so many opponents wet their pants before the fight even started.

Not true...try Dempsey...and MT would lose in micro seconds against a Greco wrestler, MT never would have survived in the MMA with just boxing... Highly Over rated outside of boxing which is limited
