Crazy how this dude took some of the strongest punches ever and is still speaking and moving well at his age
Because he avoided mike
Excellent pt.
Ali didn't punch hard. The only tough hits he took were from smokin Joe.
maybe that 10 year break he took helped heal his brain during the 80s
@@selfiekroos1777 Ali knocked him out. Ali had to punch hard enough to knock him out.
Ali is gone, Frazier is gone.. We still have George.. The last standing legend.. Legend!!
Larry Holmes is still alive.
And soon he will go too then you then all of us then all of whoever is left
Shavers, chuvalo and Holmes are still around and maybe a few more.. golden era of heavyweight boxing for sure, I'd probably put the 90s behind it but with Frazier, Ali and Foreman on top and the quality of contenders of the time, the 70s is the best.
@Naeem Islam 😅😅😅
@@spaceghost8995
Holmes is like the next generation after them.. Same level like tyson, holyfield, and so on.. the only real OG is the three of them..
When Foreman lost to Holyfield yet still smiled in agreement when the announcer declared Holyfield the winner just shows what a great sportsman Foreman is. That moment made him my favorite boxer.
I met him at a basketball game in Burnett, Tx. We were sitting on the other side of the gym and my student recognized him. He was just sitting by himself, wearing a hat and watching one of his sons play. We went over and just wanted a picture. We ended up sitting with him for the entire second half, had some cokes and hotdogs. Extremely nice man. Never once mentioned boxing. He talked to us about his family. Showed us pictures of his horses and grandkids and gave my student some advice. Even though she was a tennis player. Extremely nice man
Foreman lost at 42 years old *by decision* after 12 rounds to a prime 28 years old World Champion Holyfield. In my book, that counts as a major victory.
He's also my favorite boxer. All around great guy now.
@@MrPernell27 Great story, I know I would've talked to him only about boxing lmao
Class act, Big George. Well, when he's not hawking his products, LOL.
George stood and talked to me and my employees back in '95 for a good 10 minutes...a lifetime for us regular folks. What a nice guy, and a great champion.
Nice to hear. What was the occasion for him being there, and what topics came up?

His heart is boxing. But aside from all that, Max has had our backs for a long time now. More then our own who have sat aside from him. We must respect and appreciate Max. He embraces us when he does not have to.

That's what Sonny Liston ever wanted.
What a big coincidence he was like a mentor to George, he really looked up to Sonny.
In the end, the apprentice achieved what the master couldn't. Unbelievable story.
Until you hit 40, you will never understand how truly amazing it is that Foreman made a comeback in his 40s and regained the title at 45. I just cant fathom the will power Foreman must have had to push through the middle aged ached and fatigue. A real inspiration.

Big George. A giant of a man, in every aspect. Great fighter, great person. As classy as they come. A living legend.

George is one of the few heavyweights that still has all his marbles.
HolyRollerTV Even a lot of the lighter weight guys in their 50's & 60's are a bit "punchy",
Especially impressive since his comeback career was so brutal on his body. In the Holyfield fight alone he took enough punches to leave a horse with Parkinson's ! ... This man is as close as we can get to a human tank. Freak of nature, the one and only big George Foreman
Hahaha
George Foreman, Buster Douglas and Lennox Lewis are among the few that don't seem punched out.
That's because Big George never really got banged up much he was doing that to guys, plus taking 10 yrs off to fully revived his body and brain when he was 28-38 did him a world of good!

There never was and never will be another George Foreman. Great interview!
HE is such an awesome guy. I love how he openly talks about his failures and his wins without any ego or hesitation. That is the mark of a true legend and hero to so many. Just as he talks about Tyson being a great guy to follow his growth I think the same can be said about Foreman. At any age he is someone to watch and learn from. And I mean any fight he was in was awesome to see.
This man is 70 talking like this. You can’t even tell that he boxed. Also love how George always has a happy aura about him.

I met him once myself and was struck by the fact that he was just as nice in person, if not more so, than the persona we see on TV.
Mike Tyson's footwork, in his prime, is not spoken about enough

@EveryChevyChase Tysons quick inside combos and counters were too fast for most people to notice. Tyson faught by feeling and anticipation. Tyson didn't just throw memorized combos. His timing was pure instinct. His technique is where he got his power from.
