Hi Mike G I went from using Mother’s to this much easier and improved results product: P21S Polishing soap. It comes in a plastic can with sponge and you apply vie wetting the sponge then dip into can and ts off the races with exhaust soot just melting off👍
@@colbygraves9298 I found out about P21s 3 years ago from Pan The Organizer review channel 👍. Mike G here has an excellent objective and professional review channel so always have your pen and pad ready to learn stuff 🤗🤗🤗🤗👌🤜🏾
@@davidboyce6427 it does work. I used it a long time ago. Use it often because that applicator does degrade over time. Their actual metal polish is good as well.
@@DetailsNMe thanks. It’s 10 and the tripod I had on at the time is the one from the kit that Costco sells. It’s called the shorty on their site. It’s good but it would be nice if it could go a little taller.
Eagle One makes a wadding for wheels, so will not scratch metal? I use it with metal polish, does an awesome job, but there is nothing wrong with your technique...
Loos great Mike. Makes me want to polish mine now.
@@wescat2 thanks. It’s those little touches that we often forget about.
Not only Impalas but many other vehicles that have those exhaust tips too
Thanks. Been wondering how to polish those tips.
@@edturnerdetroit3 glad it helped.
The one I use is from Dura-Coating blue premium

I recently detailed an Equinox and you are correct with black soot. I have never seen so much black soot at the exhaust. Why is that?
Great video Mike!!! What GoPro stand do you have!?! I need a tripod for mine but not sure what to get!!!??

Nice Mike! Great video. Have u tried Labo cronos to remove the black carbon stain first ? Wonder if that would save a little time.

Looks good. Ever tried Purple metal polish?
@@orthodox1717 I looked it up. It looks like it’s the same stuff that I bought at the LA car show some time ago during a demo.
@@MikeGDetailing Sandro from CCAD turned me onto it. Good stuff. He loves mettalicut as well.
so if one was to use steel-wool on the outer part of a muffler, it would scratch chrome finish?
@@OraEtLabora0 Just be very carefully to not put a lot of pressure when using it. In most cases you should not need steel wool.
First!!!!!!
