Shouldn't guys like Brian just buy custom-tailored clothing, certainly someone like him can afford it? 6’8” 380lbs and strongman physique seems like a tough combo if you are buying from a conventional clothing store.
he could get it for free if he wanted to. He probably just wants to live as normal as he can haha. Imagine the amount of companies that would love to make him custom clothing just to have his name mentioned with a company name. Easy 100,000+ investment for any major company or even small companies. The amount of money used for advertisement and endorsements ect is amazing. It's amazinggggg. @@Untuvapilvi

I was a tailor the first half of my adult life, till severely broke my dominate arm that serious nerve damage.
Anyway my first job was downtown in Columbus, Ohio( Woodhouse Lynch clothier) most of the Ohio State Football team bought suits from us. Making clothing for super size men can be very challenging. First off you have to make every pattern you use. Not one sewing pattern company makes patterns for super size men. It's not hard to draft patterns you need to know how. Our store had to make the shirts, and vests. At that time you could order suits from Hart, Shaftner and Marxs in Chicago. They could pick out the fabric and the suit would be made and shipped with in several weeks. Hart, Shaftner and Marxs nolonger exists. I have read that a dependent of this company has started a company.

This is kind of random but I live in Brighton too and am also 6'8". I want to thank you Brian for showing me this store in a previous video because for the longest time, I have had an incredibly hard time finding a store that carries my size lol

I am 6'3 350lb. I also shop at DXL good quality clothing. Price fits the quality and not cheap Walmart style or pricing. The sizes are about one size smaller compared to normal size charts. So if you are a 3xl look at the 2xl in that store. Big love from Wisco.

Seriously, good luck with the fashion updates and remember that both Macy's and JCPenney also offer big and tall selections that are different than DXL, just in case you're looking to vary your options.
Are those stores still around?,both have been in hard times the last decade.
Still around here in CA (for now anyways) but, yeah, both have seen better days.
That also means that there are always some type of sale/discount available throughout the year.

To his point on custom sizing. Robert Graham XL-T at DXL is a XXXXXL at Nordstroms!!! Sizing chart differences are insane. I got a 50in chest 18.5 36/37 shirt, These high end shops I am a 4XL or 5XL. GFY!!!!!! Eddie Bauer and Van Heusen button down XXL fit great. Fresh Clean Threads XXL T’s are my fav for fabric and value.

Getting cut Brian!
I dropped 15lbs after turning 40 by starting running and changing my diet. Just weights wasn’t cutting it anymore as I got older. Gotta stay fit for myself and my family!
What was your dietary change. I'm trying to lose weight without constantly fasting
@@robertcook5049 biggest thing was eliminating snacking. Added more lean meat as well. Running a minimum of 40km (25 miles) a week helped too.
I basically just played around making small tweaks until I found what worked for me. I always at the maintain weight phase, so dropping was just a matter of small cuts.

That store has a lot of very nice cloths for big and tall. I used to shop there when I was 5’10 290 wearing 48 pants. Now I’m shopping at normal cloths stores wearing 36 waist and 5’10 210. Brian Shaw is a beast!!

My son has a similar but opposite issue. He is 6' 9" 215 25 years old. 5 years of Div 1 basketball and now in the gym trying to add muscle weight. He played at 200. He has some issue finding clothes.
