Best update video on 2024 Model Y out there.
Thank you!
GJ pointing out some of the diff changes/upgrades of this build. Thanks for your patience in testing & sharing this informative video.
One of the best reviews i saw so far. To the point. Exactly what i was looking for. Subscribed.
Thank you!!
Thank you SO MUCH for this. I do a lot of night driving and noticed that cars with matrix has better high beams in my opinion (observed with night uber rides). If/when matrix becomes activated then it's an even better system. I would be getting my future Y in Texas and it's good to know that its finally available in Texas builds unlike initial builds.
Early congrats to you and thank you for watching!
Well done!
I added a outside weather strip sound even more silent and less noise.
Are the rear passenger windows double-paned glass too? thanks for sharing!
Nope
hi, how do you know if ur model Y has HW4 when u configure ur car for purchase?
All new Model Ys ordered from tesla.com should come with HW4 at this time.
Hello does have berlin made same lights etc as texas ?
Yes
Changes, changes, changes, redesigned, refreshed, renewed, totally redesigned, upgrade, newer. Do you see it yet.
God my China made MY in Germany in August 2023, built in June... Absolutely love the car. Only thing that bothers me is that Tesla makes them in 4 different factories and you get 4 different cars... My buddy got the same as mine but Berlin made, had so much trouble with it right from the start...
Would you care to describe how the ride quality, comfort level and noise level is in the car? Especially if you have driven a model 3 how would you compare it ?
@@greenearth9945 I would say the ride quality is average. Maybe even a bit on the stiffer side even though it has the newer comfort suspension. It's quite thumpy actually and you hear the thuds when going over potholes but nothing serious. Noise in the cabin is quite low but I do not know how the other comparable EVs fare, I came to the Tesla after selling my 2.0 4 cylinder diesel :D
I have not driven the pre-highland model 3, but I have driven in the new model 3 and that car is even more comfortable than the MY!
@@gkicosev thank you 🙏
do the rear windows have dual pane as well?
Unfortunately not, however the refresh Model Y that’s coming should have it. But, the road noise is still not that loud in the back.
@@timothynguyenn the Berlin build `model Y's do have dual panes in the back doors. We just ordered one 🙂
Does the seats have lumbar support ?
Driver seat yes
Did 2024 model Y Performance get an upgrade on the suspension also? Is it a softer ride now? Thanks
Unfortunately I don’t think so, the Model Y Performance is really bumpy as it’s a performance.
That's suck... thank Tim
Half of the "changes" seem to have been invented by you - I yesterday looked at Feb 23 F and Feb 24 A builds side by side and noticed no difference in door and frunk closing, 2 sprayers per wiper, carpeting. The trunk cover is different though - the 23 Y has the end piece split into narrower segments - easier to open and fold. I was also surprised that the 24 didn't have to 2024 software and had no selection for Stopping Options and defaulted to Hold (what the most use, anyway). Overall exterior panel gaps did seem better though (narrower on the Frunk!). The windshield and from windows glass on the 23 Fremont overall is marked Saint-Gobain Sekurit PVB laminated, what's on yours?
If you paid attention to the video - I wasn’t comparing everything between the builds. This wasn’t an Austin vs Fremont build video. It was mainly just the headlights as Austin gets matrix now. For the windshield washer exit sprayers - I mentioned that SOME cars have single exit sprayers because my family member has a slightly older 2023 build and has the single sprayers. Also, again if you paid attention to the video, I said the windshield has Tesla lettering instead of a Tesla logo like on older builds. These changes were also mentioned by a lot of other people as well so they weren’t “invented” by me.
@@timothynguyenn I did watch the entire video. It'd be great to see the side-by-side 23 vs 24 build's comparison, if you have access to both.
Hello I picked up my 2023 model y long range in December 2023. I have a question- in winter months my model y never showed bacon battery preheating iconnat all unless I was navigating to supercharger. Can you confirm if this behavior is expected. Will it cause faster degradation or not. I don't know thenbattery chemistry butnsamenarea my friend gets preheat battery even when just switch on climate.
Sometimes it will come on with climate, sometimes it won’t. No worries, that’s normal.
@timothynguyenn thanks for commenting however my concern is it never turned on even once in January through the cold of Illinois. Should I be concerned?
@@greatmk6292 Yes, It’s normal. Unless you’re navigating to a supercharger and it’s not preconditioning even though the battery is cold - then I’d be concerned.
@timothynguyenn how to know if battery is cold. I never saw snowflake icon but i did get Grey dots during that time meaning regen braking was not full. It never gave me the message that regen is limited though.i was still able to stop without brakes with those dots.
@@greatmk6292 Those dots just mean your regen braking is reduced.
How do u know where it’s built ?
Open the drivers door, right by where the psi information is
It's odd when you're on the Tesla website, it doesn't say what year it is or where it's built.
It won’t say. But as of right now the year will most likely be 2024 unless you are buying from inventory.
@@timothynguyenn yeah, I am talking about buying from inventory.
@@Victic005 Check to see if they have a vin listed on the website and use a tesla vin decoder. It’ll show you where the car is built, etc
@@Victic005 The 2023 models will show 330 mile range and the 2024 with show 310 mile range.
2024*?? I just got one how can I see when manufactured
This is a 2023. There’s currently no 2024 Model Ys delivered yet, and to see when it was manufactured, check the sticker when you open the drivers door, should be on the bottom of the b pillar
Those LED headlights are way too blinding for the oncoming cars.
I agree about the part that they are blinding sometimes, but that just depends on how it was adjusted. Great visibility though, one of the BRIGHTEST headlights on the market right now.
All these new led lights should be banned, safety hazard
Not all of them are blinding with glare. Teslas actually are pretty good.
Boring.
No need to troll bro!
Don’t mind him he probably want one so bad 😂😂😂😂😂😂.
