I love the song that plays once the car crashes. Just makes the moment so much more impactful. Also i am a sucker for yakuza brawls in the street
There are a lot of moments like that in this game. Like the music that plays before the final boss
Shishido is really special to say to Joryu to go balls out and calling him coward for holding back
if you looked at the action sequences for his final boss fight, he almost kills kiryu multiple times. infact the dynamic intro is him just barely not slicing kiryu's arm off. kiryu is just very lucky in that fight

I love it when they incorporate game mechanics like stance swapping in cutscenes, reminds me of Yagami using Snake style for most of his fights against the bullies but changing to Tiger style right before the last fight with them

I didn't noticed this kind of stance from Judgment series.
Yagami stands lower and his right arm goes lower. It's supposed to be his Daidoji Faction self-taught "Agent Skills" anyway so his combos are completely different from Yagami's aside from being like more eastern martial arts inspired as opposed to street brawling.

Kiryu switching stances here was my favorite moment until chapter 4, where it got replaced by a billion other favorite moments.
I like the slight change of character that happends, when we switch style to the original. Kiryu be like:
"Fine. I`ll show you what the former ME can do."
Yakuza style in Gaiden has 100% the best Kiryu battle theme

It's pretty cool that Shishido sorta has the vibes of a couple of characters we've known throughout the series. His usual outfit with the puffer jacket really gives off Y2 Daigo vibes just to say.
I guess a Yakuza playstyle is a tank. You hit me I hit you harder. It's better than the one in Y6 or Kiwami 2 ,but I wonder if nerfing the side step was a wise decision.

Tsuruno looks like Zhao from Yakuza 7, and also a cameo in Lost Judgment, and That's why Judgment series are connected to Yakuza Timeline
You literally can see the Yagami Detective Agency in Yakuza 7, that happened after Judgment, if you go to where it is located.
Not only that, but Yagami _literally_ lays out the fact that the Tojo Clan has already dissolved at the start of Lost Judgment.
Obviously both Judgment and Lost Judgment are both part of the Yakuza timeline canon.

Plus this fight takes place after Ichiban gets shot by Arakawa and later is treated by Namba (Note: Ichiban is still unconscious at that time) because after the fight one of the homeless mentions Both Ichiban and Namba. Plus this chapter in Gaiden (Chapter 1) takes place in the continuation of Yakuza 7 chapters from Chapter 2 to Chapter 3, so when Kiryu is already leaving Ijincho to Sotenbori, Osaka to look for Akame in Chapter 2. Ichiban story in Ijincho,Yokohama now begins in Chapter 3 (Note: After he wakes up) of the Yakuza 7 chapters.
@@ignatiotios3459 Too bad if we go to Nanba's tent as Kiryu he'll say he doesnt have to time to worry about strangers. I mean that is supposed to happen, I dont know if Nanba heard the car crash and the fight between Kiryu and Shishido.

Yagami is 36 years old in Gaiden & Yakuza 7, but How old is Kaito, Sugiura, and Higashi
Their bios in their games tell you. Kaito is older than Yagami, Higashi is slightly younger than Kaito, Sugiura is definitely in his mid 20s

I dont get it why is Kiryu's suit during the Omi Alliance feast black in this game compared to 7 that was grey ?
Maybe because kiryu erased his existance by not wearing his go to gray clothes?
@@khiemnguyencao4324 I meant the scene when he meets Ichiban Kasuga during the Omi Alliance dissolution. His suit in Yakuza 7 was grey with a blue tie, in Gaiden his one is black with a blue tie. His suit in 7 looks more grey compared to black during the Omi feast.
@nikamir3845 probably because Gaiden wasn't a concept and they wanted all original Tojo guys in the room at the time
right before the scene of the dissolution, akame gives kiryu a new suit and tie (due to his being dirty) that fits the light-blu tie one seen in Yakuza 7
