AOHighlights 🇺🇸 - Sport
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the Australian Open YT channel this year. The 8 minute highlights have been great. They even listened to the comments and didn't put the winner in the thumbnail. Whoever is running this channel is doing great work.
Edit: They changed the thumbnail 💀
Finally listening to the comments!!!! So many highlights had the suspense of who won the match destroyed before you could even click on the match.
I think they realized that CZcamsrs were posting much better highlights than their professional editors. And it was impossible to get rid of all of them. lol. It worked. I have not looked at one of those pirated vids in a while.
Al good but The winner is in the thumbnail
The highlights were great but the winning player in the thumbnail is very bad
NO MAN, ITS NOT 60FPS. ITS THE YR 2022 NO 60FPS FOR TENNIS? LOOK AT ESPN AND TENNISTV. WAY BETTER QUALITY. THE TECHNOLOGY NO YET ARRIVED IN AUSTRALIA CAUSE THEY LOCKDOWN EVERYONE. DUMB FUCKS!
Tsitsipas played out of his goddamn mind… hard to beat him when he’s this determined
He spent the least amount of time on court doing it as well out of everyone in the QFs.
In times like this, it's all about reserves and injuries.
How much is left in the tank and how little it all hurts.
Stefanos was HUGE today with early racket preparation and going for his shots. I wouldn’t have guessed Sinner not winning a set or even being close. It should be another great semifinal on Friday.
As a Nadal fan I'm glad he doesn't have to face Tsitsipas or Medvedev In a S.F.
Too much Tsititsipas (at least today). Still a great tournament for Jannik
Jannik sei un grande sempre
Coming off from a surgery, it's almost impossible to imagine that he is playing at this level. Well done Stefanos.
Stef showed why he was the top player here. Sinner is an absolute machine hitting pinpoint strokes, but he couldn't play his game due to Stef's explosive movement. The way Tsitsipas was covering that BH area while exploding into his FH's was really something.
Sinner stroke is so beautiful but Tsitsipas is so explosive 🧨
I was stunned by how accurate and prepared Tsitsipas played.
You know it's crazy good, when Sinner even smiles after dropping a point @6:05
I don't think I had ever seen him smile on court.
One of the best I’ve seen Tsitsipas played.
The commentator was right. Tsitsipas had a Federer like quality about him where every shot he hit was a winner
that BH winner was vintage roger
The backhand surprised me today he was struggling for depth all tournament
Exactly what I was going to type. But he does not have Roger’s humbleness and fairness. Him taking longer bathroom breaks, on court coaching says it all. There is unspoken arrogance one can feel just watching him walk. Roger walks like a lion and does not need to walk with a pumped up ego.
@@vidyasonavane9602 Roger was very much like this when he was young. Pretty arrogant and salty loser at that time
@@vidyasonavane9602 Get over the silly stuff, it's sports at the top level, not gossip and a politeness competition
Stef proved All his Haters SO wrong. Good 4 him! Now get some rest & prepare himself for another great match vs...probably Medvedev.
you don't understand why people hate him clearly. Nobody thinks hes bad at all. Maybe overrated but definitely a good player. They hate his coach, his habits, and how he carries himself. He really is the biggest soyboy in tennis right now.
@@Djmorton-go5mt You're right. I don't understand. Yes, I understand Stef definitely needs to dump his Dad as his coach but other than that, Stef's being treated unfairly. Btw, what is a Soyboy?
@@stevenmichael4990 somebody who has low testosterone and acts like a little girl all the time. Tsitsi causes so much drama it's ridiculous and all because he can't take criticism or be told he's wrong. Everything from ridiculously long bathroom breaks to denying his dad is ever coaching him during games. It's all a big joke. Once again though, nothing against his skill as a player. He is incredible in his own right.
@@Djmorton-go5mt Wow! Stef acts like a little girl & has low testosterone. Okay. lol.
I definitely underestimated the level of Tsitsipas going into this match. It was a dominant win
Tsitsipas ATE. He was hungry and he feasted on sinner. It was such a dominant match!
that backhand passing shot at 6:40 gave me goosebumps.
When I saw the shot, I thought it was Federer who made it, not Tsitsipas cuz that shot was kinda Federer-ish.
And ofc it was a phenomenal shot imo.
Tsitsipas vs Medvedev Semis is going to be the Final-like match since both of them are on hot fire🔥
Yes, but Medvedev won't be as rested.
It's going to be really hard for Medvedev, given how different their respective QFs were. I hope he'll win but tbh I think Tsitsipas has more chances.
thing was sinner didnt even play bad here, tsitsipas was just insane
Didn’t think that was going to be a straight set kind of match- well done Stefanos
Today Jannik lost facing a de lux version of Stefanos. Still convinced he has a bright future, played a wonderful tournament and about his sportsmanship 👏👏
Excellent performance by Tsitsipas. Looking forward to see how he develops his BH and return game (as Shapo has done this season). The upside is immense.
So is Sinner's. Love this young man. We will see great things from the young Italian.
Que gran triunfo del griego ,en 3 juegos tenia la sospecha que se definia en un quinto juego pero el griego se planto solido y firme ,soy simpatizante de el griego desde las piedras canelones uruguay
Unexpectedly easy winning for Tsitsipas he was the fav obviously but Sinner could've taken at least a set. I'm not a Tsitsipas fan but I ain't a hater not to see how amazing he's playing for sure on hardcourts his best performances
actually he wasn't the favorite, despite the higher seeding, and experience - Sinner was the slight favourite from the bookies.
But the best performance of Stefanos was on clay on RG
I don’t like Tsitsipas either but I do applaud his performance. He’ll probably be a finalist this year
@@elvisac4425 mmm...over Medvedev coffin I guess...
@@Hammerton32 this numbers are some bullshit who really watch or understand tennis, Sinner is gonna be amazing but now a days Tsitsipas at least 60% to 40% for Sinner
Tsipas, a dream come tru
stefanos tsitsipas 🇬🇷 greek power the golden boy of tennis great win stefanos
The Nadal-Berrettini and Tsitsipas-Medvedev SFs are going to be INTENSE!
Nadal vs Med. This is the final.
Or Ber vs Stef final?
@@jamesjohnjoyce4434 Nadal - Tsitsipas is the final. Nadal probably the winner
Sinner for dinner
Thank you for the content but can we please have both players on the thumbnail so we dont get spoiled of the winner?
Good to see Tsitsipas mentally recovered from that disappointing Roland Garros loss. He seems rejuvenated.
it wasnt just that loss. he lost a close family person and had some extra family drama soon after that. And possibly the worst (regarding what affected his game) he had a growing injury on his (i believe right) hand for which he had surjery just after he quit the ATP finals. given how little the time is from then to now its actually even surprising he has such strong games.
as both greek and a fan of his game (not too much of him, as he needs to straighten up his behaviour a bit) i love to see it
Best game by far from Tsitsipas in a while. Poor Sinner didn't stand a chance. If the greek keeps this level, he will win the tournament
Tsitsipas is the most talented of the young big three (Medvedev and Zverev the others) and this match proves it. If he continues to improve his mental game and gain experience he will win many slams because this level was ridiculous. Sinner did not play bad at all and couldn't even get a set.
that's what I said in 2018. He has talent and improved shots which are similar to Federer.
Holy s***,Tsitsipas had dinner in a italian restaurant and Sinner was the main dish.
Unbelievable fight to last point with inspiring spirit
ABOUT SINNER:
1. He's winning NOTHING big, unless, he introduces slice & pause into his game. Firepower is evident, but it's not letting him breathe on court.
2. He must hire Berdych as coach. They're too alike and he may be the key in allowing him to match his full potential.
ABOUR TSITSIPAS
1. Hope he wins his first slam here. He's got it all. Luck and focus are all he needs in the upcoming two matches.
Gracias por los resúmenes extendidos!
That’s quick!! Thanks AO for the upload.
PUT SOME RESPECT ON MA BOY TSITSIPAS’ NAME
Stefanos reminded me of 2003 version of Roger in this match. Huge step forward, Daniel will have his hands full if Stefanos could hold this shape.
Tsisipas dominated. Good luck Sr. 👍🏁
That was a beatdown. Impressive.
Good battle with amazing shots.
that bh pass is giving primer roger vibes, I was so surprised by that shot since he lacked depth through out the whole tourney, he might upset daniil if he plays like this
If Stefano continues to play like this, he is the man to beat. Even medvedev or nadal won't stand a chance. His court coverage and pinpoint accuracy is out of this world. May the best man win. SF is a battle of rackets too; Wilson, Head, Tecnifibre and Babolat. Let's see whose weapon is the best.
Unfortunately, medvedev was the better player today. Tsitsipas didn't go for his shot, playing safe and became too predictable. When you play against medvedev, you have to take the risk. Just like what Felix did for the first 2 and a half set.
Wow, the best I have seen Tsitsipas played in a long time. Definitely in contention for the final if he continues the flow.
I think Stefanos has a great chance of beating Medvedev in Semi Finals. Last two matches took a lot out of Medvedev.
I think so too. Daniil had no business to win against Felix.
If he keeps this level for the semis absolutely he'll beat Medvedev
No disrespect to the young Italian but Stef at his best and there’s no chance simply what happened today regardless great tournament from him.
I must agree, even being a Jannik fan.. Still a great tournament from Sinner
When’s the last time Sinner was beaten in straight sets?
That may have been the best match I’ve ever seen Stephanos play...
Yes, he didn't seem to be slacking, but Stefanos was just unplayable.
Apparently Murray beat him in straights last 😂and Alcaraz just before that. this is also the first time Sinner played a top 30 player this year though. He’s very good at beating guys he’s supposed to beat but he’ll have to work on beating the “other” guys too
@@gabrielametodieva8360, you’re not wrong however there are only 25 days in this year thus far… and I believe Jannik beat FAA recently, didn’t he?
Domination by Stefanos
i watched the whole game. This was one of the most dominant performances I have ever seen. This Tsitsipas would have beaten prime roger or nadal or djokovic.
lol not prime Roger. He was basically playing like an "average" Federer from the early 2000s era
Lol 😂 he can’t even beat non-prime Djokovic
@@phili6588 i dont agree
U don’t watch a lot tennis… do u?
@@CHIN0094 I've been watching tennis for the last 12 years. Not sure if that's long enough for you. Im not saying Tisisipas is better than the prime big 3. But the way tsitsipas played on this particular day was good enough to beat anyone.
The best thing that could have happened for Tsitsipas is Medvedev going 5 sets. That was the little piece of fortune he needed and this is perhaps his best chance to win a slam.
FO2020 still was his best chance but he choked
@@k4mik4tz3 he's 23, plenty of chances to come in the future, that final was a good learning experience if nothing else.
Tsisipas is on the way to get his Grand Slam trophy for the first time.
So this is what a STONE COLD match of tennis looks like...
Wow 🤩
Tremendous!
Great game for stef. He is stronger and quicker than Jannik.
Tsitsipas has way more slam winning potential than zverev, unfortunately for him his near impassable hurdle to any hardcourt slam will be medvedev
Well he's a lot better on clay than anyone else other than Nadal/Djokovic. He'll win a few FOs I'd say
@@cameronearls6497 yeah i know that hence why i said *hardcourt slam
Daniil is running out of gas to challenge Stefanos this time around.
@@williammayer1721 you could be right, but we'll see soon. It should be an interesting match either way
Stephanos played like a wrecking ball
Oh so now you aint spoiling who won in the thumbnail.
Finally!
Wow The Greek was Breaking Plates 🔥🔥🔥
Stan Roger Stafanos!!
There’s something about tsitsipas this tournament that tells me he’s going for the title
he wasn't playing with this mindset the previous matches but if he find his inspiration with this kind of players he is in a good way
@@juanfelipeschmidt6219 well Fritz is on fire rn that was a close game but he still defeated an in form Frits which required a lot of concentration and desire to win
Now, he stands a chance to avenge his last year's defeat to Daniil. The situation is very different. Now Daniil had to come back from two sets down; whereas Stefanos won easily in three sets.
@@juanfelipeschmidt6219 he had lost family and had other drama, plus he had a hand injure gor which he got surgery (after the atp finals). so its not just his mental game that was really down, but he is one of the more succeptive to it players (the top ones at least).
its great to see him on a good form though. his game reminds me of federers (but without much thought put into it...)
WHY? Why do you keep posting the image of the winner? Many of us are not able to see the live match because we do not have access to the channel broadcasting it, so we come to CZcams to at least look at the highlights. It would be nice if the Main Image of the video didn't give it away as to who won. Please try to show an image with both players which leaves it up in the air as to who won. Thank you.
Muy buen juego del griego, está más suelto y los tiros sobre la línea están perfectos.
6:07 at this moment he knew... he f*cked up
Hate the way the commentator said "Tseh-tseh-pass" like gas. The player played out of his mind. Well deserved win....
Go stefanos! Nothing is better than robbie konigs commentary-😁👍
Sinner keep hitting those lines in the opening games. Like he has those shots locked.
I still think Sinner will have big results here. He's so solid. Clearly Tsitsipas was in the zone and made him look trash but really he was getting outshone. I definitely see a slam semifinal or final coming soon, maybe even more.
Sinner will be a solid player for years to come. But he’s missing a little bit of electricity in his game. His movement isn’t spectacular either. Solid player though.
I wanted to see Alcaraz vs Tsitsipas in this tourney but perhaps next time.
What can you say about Tsitsi? He's due. He's playing out of his mind. He needs to win a Slam.
AO your hilights are great, but please don't put the winning player in the thumbnail!
How could Sinner become favorite against Tsitsipas before this match ?
Great job Tsitsipas. Ok… Semifinals now the final begins. Well I hope it’ll be a lot of fun like Meddy Felix was.
Dear Australian Open - please stop putting the winter in the thumbnail of the video! Let those of us who can't watch this stuff live have some suspense
Please don't show the WINNER in the thumbnail. It kills the fun to watch for lots of people.
Tsitsipas : sucesor de Federer
I'm thankful for all of the extended highlights, but could you stop spoiling the outcome in the thumbnail?
Stefano Asi tenes que jugar con nadal 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️
Stefanos left no door for Jannik to go .
ESPN did such a poor job doing the AO coverage. They are showing the same match during day they showed the night before. We wanted to see matches which are played 3:30-4 am during the day. 👎👎👎
It’s frustrating to see the same match and not the most interesting one.(night sessions)
Seemingly very successful elbow surgery. Hope he's not overdoing it.
a fist pump every time you win a point is a bit much.
That's because Sinner's a fool. He thinks he is better than he actually is.
Yay
PLEASE! Stop spoiling the highlights with the winner on the cover! Com’on!!
Sinner - the Tomas Berdych of his generation.
I like the way they spoil it by putting the winner in the thumbnail.
good
Also don't spoil the winner in the thumbnail please
Πάντα αυτό τον Στέφανο θέλουμε να βλέπουμε.Γίνεται?
We go from Sinner up 40-15 in his first service game to suddenly Tsitsipas up 3-0? Are you skipping the interesting turns the match took on purpose?
Breakpoints not worth including in the video over a few replays?
shoutout to cameraman 1:50
Rarely is it more clear: Sinner needs to get bigger and stronger to stop guys like TsiTsi from bullying him around the court. Just a small lack of power in the serve and return was most of the difference. Both those things will come within a few years. Hit the weights, kid!
That's because he's a fool. He thinks he is better than he actually is.
Who’s here after one of the guys actually won this event?
Shout out to the cameraman and the editing crew for this 3 second 'highlight' they kept in: czcams.com/video/qpFAqaEYYAQ/video.html
I don’t know about everyone else but it’s kind of annoying that the winner is always in the thumbnail. Ruins some of the suspense
please stop spoiling the winners in the thumbnails
Sinner had a major let down today ... he was so OFF
They need to stop posting the result in the thumbnail
Knew it was a 3 setter for Tsitipas, when there was no indications of bathroom breaks.
🤭😂
Please stop putting the winner in the thumbnail
The Australian Closed.
Totally disappointed in Sinner, had huge hopes for him the way he was hitting in previous matches. I still believe he will be no. 1 in coming years, but he needs to study his opponents better and switch gears accordingly within a game
Not looking like he’ll be a world number one ever with the way he moves.
@@TheJakenesbit That's because he's a fool. He thinks he is better than he actually is.
he needs to be more unpredictable and add a few more things in his game other than solid baseline game. Also his body needs to strengthen, he can't follow the top athletes being like that
Tsi Tsi flies
Grt game . Irony is the semis between Medvedev and Tsitsipas , which should have been a final. Really screwed up draw by the thug breeds.
