Orphan Movie Reaction First Time Watching - ZĂĄbava
EXCLUSIVE Mike's Roast Shirt!
themikelawz.com/
The dad is one of the most clueless characters Iâve ever seen in a movie đ
I hated him so much. I wanted to slap the shit out of him myself and I wasn't even in the movie LOL.
You mispelled insufferable haha
He was gaslighting his wife the whole time, I was so happy he got killed. He deserved it after doubting her so much.
As a viewer I agree, but realistically most people would have a hard time believing a little girl to be murdering people, besides she was just adopted so the last thing you would want is to make your new child distrust you...
Heâs to distracted by other womenâs tits
@@changingmind3248 when there are clear signs in front of you it's pretty stupid not to believe it especially if other see it and warn you as well
The actress who played Esther deserved an Oscar for her performance.
She definitely portrayed the character well in this lol
Sadly award shows don't typically recognize horror movies for their nominations which is a failure on their part!
@@deadsetondreams1988 thatâs stupid.
@@elijahbaker781 that's just how it is man. I agree with you. It is stupid. Horror films rarely ever get oscars at all.
@@rodgill9376 yeah movies like hereditary deserve more praise.
Orphan (2009) caught everyone by surprise. The twist in the middle was ultimately divine and made the entire film much more complex than it already was. Isabelle Furhman did a terrific job for her portrayal of Esther in this and its prequel. Mike, I hope you get to react to Orphan: First Kill (2022) soon. Maybe you can do a comparison if youâd like.
Fun fact orphan kills was supposed to start filming in 2020 but because of COVID they had to stop production is
Why did you put the year loo
@@lucianotecuanapa9853 I think you may be confused about what the âfunâ part in âfun factâ means. Lol
@@lucianotecuanapa9853 They actually did film in 2020! And filming had been wrapped in December 2020. The rest was production time, editing the film and adding effects to make Isabelle look younger, without full face CGI
I watched it in grade 6and itâs traumatized me đ now Iâm in grade 11.
I love that no matter how people feel about this movie they agree that the husband is an idiot lol
"There's not a 60 day return policy?" and "Throw her in a FedEx box and ship her back to Russia" took me the hell out, lmfao đ€Ł
He said that second line as I read your comment lmfao that was đđđ
đđđđđYes! So smart
lol i spit my cola out all over my laptop when he said that
One of the rare times when a trailer said "You'll never guess her secret" and they were RIGHT! I did NOT see the twist coming. Very impressive in an age when we think we've seen everything. So I was pleasantly surprised =)
And Isabella Furhman did so well as Clove in the Hunger Games!
yesss sheâs incredible !!
"Hey it's me your ugly ass husband I'm here" your commentary is too funny
"She's like Chucky" đ
Chucky aint even as evil as her bruh
Isabelle was only 12 when she played that role and she was brilliant. Not only as a real kid but she played the ''adult'' Esther really well too.
Actually, she was only 10! The movie came out in 2009, but it was filmed in 2007 and she was born in 1997.
Dude the actress was amazing she was a child who played a 33 year old woman who was playing a child it was incredible and I was shooketh
Yeah she was 12 years old at the that time and in part 2 she 24 but still looks the same
and now for the prequel shes a grown up woman that needed to act like a kid HAHAHAHAHA came full circle
@@rydellgarcia She looked more like a teen than a kid in First Kill
@@SugeBrat yeah. But props to them for using almost all practical effects to pull it off.
The actress playing ester was actually 12 during making this film and she was chosen for this role by LEO DICAPRIO who is also the producer of the film .
I'm surprised he didn't ask her out.
wtf ?
@@adgato75 the fact that she is 25 now makes this so much funnier
@@uhohmykokoro1616 Yeah , she's safe now. She aged out , lol.
@@adgato75 how do you know he didn't? Maybe it was just a casting couch thing.
All the times they accused her of drinking and they never made her do a breathalyzer test or anything lmaoo
As someone who gardens, the flowers thing REALLY hurt deep. Lol. What a little creep.
And I think everyone pretty much hated the father and wasnât too pissed when he got it handed to him. He was a shtty husband
I don't have a green thumb at all (also like to try from time to time with various degrees of success lol) and I still felt that, this was one of the worst bc try to prove PSYCHOLOGICAL hurt...
I feel so bad for Max... she literally saw everything. From the bird to Esther. Friend or foe(or animal) doesn't matter. Murder is going to be traumatizing. Especially for a 5 YEAR OLD.
Esther negatively affects everyone in the house, but the moment she negatively affects the dad himself is what causes him to turn on her
Sounds about right lol
"I wish I liked wine like that.....not like.. an alcoholic way."đđ as I'm drinking my bottle of wine lmaoo
One of the best modern horror movie twists of all time!! Itâs also loosely based off a real woman which adds to creepiness imo lol. Besides Esther, Vera Farmiga acted her ASS off in this movie! Canât wait for the reactionđđœ
Yeah the actual story is way worse are we both thinking of the one that had the parents keep their son in cage and basically tortured him thn afterwards fled to Canada and posed as a young boy?
The movie was based on a woman named Barbora SklorvĂĄ . A woman posing to be a 13 year old boy in Norway.
as someone who lives in Estonia, every time someone doesn't know what Estonia is a little piece of me dies inside lmao
it was really weird heard him say âwhatâs estonia?â hahah but i think itâs bc some of the us schools dont get geography lessons
@@alejandralastra4174 Try living in Myanmar and see if people know what that is lol
@@alejandralastra4174 yeah I never had a geography class in my life
â@Alejandra Lastra I learned what Estonia is from Orphan before I ever had a Geography class đ
Itâs about time this movie finally gets the recognition it deserves! It was so underrated back in the day and hardly got any attention whatsoever and so itâs damn time it finally got the recognition it deserves
Facts
I've never seen him so passionate about a movie LOL
I know righttttttt
"put her in a f..ink FedEx box and sent her in Russia" đđ you killed me with that one man đ€Ł!
đ
*sees esther* Immediately says "She's evil " lmao i love that
This movie is so good! But the husband was so fucking infuriating lol I've never hated a character more other than Esther of course
*Treehouse totally engulfed in flames*
"Man that's a fire hazard"
This comment has me dying laughing rn lol
I love this movie! Watched at the movie theater and was mind blown! I did not see the twist coming. Thought: she's either an evil child or the anti-Christ or something supernatural like that.. And people say the plot is ridiculous, but this has happened in real life (grown people adopted by families like they were kids).
I agree it has happened before I don't remember which part of the world but it has happened
@@A.Dorcha When Orphan came out I read about more than one case like this. Don't know if it's 100% true, but I believed it, since I see sometihng so stupid happening in real life easily.. :)
@@A.Dorcha The movie was inspired by something that happened in my country. Look up Barbora Ć krlovĂĄ.
The movie is based off real life events and it happened in Norway. Itâs based of a woman named Barboa SkrlovĂĄ who pretended to be a 13 year old boy in Norway.
God, sheâs an evil fuckinâ thing, this bitch
In the prequel, she met her match with a cracked Mommie Dearest (not too much of a spoiler, more to come)
I'll for sure get around to the prequel!
Plot twist in this movie was great but you gotta see the second one. That twist had me thrown for a loop. Plus Julia Styles is in the movie. Iconic đ€
This and the prequel were so good! I put this above the prequel because of vera farmigas performance. Your reactions are the BEST
I'm gonna do the prequel as soon as I can rent it on digital! Thanks so much for the support!
@@TheMikeLawz đđđđ anytime!!!
Isabelle Furhman was only a child for this movie and she did an amazing job, 12 I believe
10 at the time.
Super excited for this one. One of my fave movies!
Can't believe I havent seen this one till now. For sure a solid movie!
Mike throwing the paper had me hollering 17:28
17:00 So there are different versions of the movie. In one she actually ends him and she survives the end as well.
I really like this movie when I first saw it last year. I just watched the prequel Orphan: First Kill and it far exceeded my expectations. Not sure which movie I liked more...both are great.
In my opinion, the plot twist in the second movie is even MORE crazy and insane dude. The second orphan movie is better than this one too. Please please give it a watch. Itâs nuts!
Eh I wouldnât say itâs better
it ssucks and isnt crazy lol
Thats just not true
@@autograph415 sucks??? Hoow?
@@emre_serin its just not good lol felt like a retelling of the original movie to me, was predictable
Let's fuckin go! This movie is fuckin horrifying. So so good! A classic!
Shocked this one wasnt reccomended more as the channel was growing. This one was pretty damn solid!
@@TheMikeLawz Brooo solid is an understatement. The twist at the end still blows my mind like I haven't seen it a million times already in 13 years lol
The way she stares at both of them and said in that raspy voice "it' is in heaven now" gives me chills.
So creepy and sooo well acted at the same time.
The true story includes even cannibalism and incest, jeeez
I hope u watch Orphan : First Kill because it's gonna blow your mind even more
For sure going to do a video on it!
You read my mind I literally searched your vids a few days ago trying to find this movie đ Also the joker one but Iâm assuming you saw it alr?
I may take a little bit to get around to certain movies but I usually end up getting to them! Ya I saw Joker in theaters when it first came out! Woulve been an insane reaction though
@@TheMikeLawz love it I just got your patreon so at least Iâll be voting now đ and dang I would have looved to see your reaction on the joker ! Great vids though! đ
14:28 "I wish I liked wine like that" LMAO that part had me dying
"Unless the husband's that much of a scumlord" oh BUT HE IS. đ i was 13/14 when this movie came out and that opening delivery scream traumatized me đđ sheesh
Im so excited to see this reaction! One of my favourite horror movies of all time, I really think it should me more talked about.
Fun fact: this is based on a true story. I donât really remember the details but the âchildâ portrayed was a real woman who was truly in her 30âs or something that was posing as an orphan child. Yâall should look up the real case bc itâs WILD. Not to this degree ofc but still itâs crazy to think someone was out here doing this. People terrify me
Look up Barboa SkrlovĂĄ. That is who this movie is based off of. She is a woman that posed as a 13 year old boy in Norway.
@@rosealexander9007 no the one Iâm talking about is in America and she posed as a young girl
Thatâs crazy that it happened twice wtf
@@raysofrosieno the movie is not based off what your talking about. What youâre talking about is complete Bs!! This movie that was based on Barboa was released in 2009. The family adopted Natalia in 2010. Natalia really was a little girl at the time. Donât believe everything everyone tells you. The Barnettâs are sick disgusting people. Itâs been proven that Natalia was a little girl through verified historical paperwork, DNA, and many other scientific evidence. Please donât spread misinformation about a innocent little girl that was neglected.
Lets goooo - didnt watch the early access.... Im ready for this
Shoutout Roman đđđ€
I love this movie
That two dollar ghost was a cutie. đ„°
I feel the same way as you about the dad and wine. Lol
I never realized HOWWWW dumb the dad was!!!! Broooooo that guy was CHOOSING to be oblivious
Loved the reaction at 17:27 :D
I was READY
I can't wait for this one
my mind is still confused about the fact that then Isabelle Fuhrman was a 12yo child pretending to be an adult who was pretending to be a child... like whaaat? and she did an f**** amazing job!
The dad HIGHLY pissed me off like bffr
I really liked this movie. Good reaction too. Why is the father so dense?
By the way, there's a sequel prequel movie as well.
This movie goes DUMB hard fr
Some might even say a little TOO hard
I needed some Mike today. It is my birthday AND I had radiation. So glad you posted this!đ
Happy Birthday!!!!! Stay strong Lu đđ»
Happy Birthday đ
@@kitty9710 Thanks. It was rather pleasant.
12:09 60 days return policy đ€Ł
naah this film is WILD đ
WILD might even be an understatement. That lil orphan is a menace
loved this movie when it came out and itâs great to see you enjoy it and rip it apart. this is one of my favorite videos now!
I left early from work today & this reaction video made it 100000% worth it. I swear I went from being in pain to laughing like nothing was wrong because of you. đ TOP NOTCH REACTIONS but thatâs what you always deliver so itâs just awesome to join. I canât wait for more. đđŒ
âThatâs no sisterly loveâ was so funnyđđ
I'm about to move to Connecticut...thanks for the "nothing good comes out of Connecticut" XD
The only good thing in CT is New Havens pizza lol
5:28 âThat big one I thw backâ đđ That got me
Love your video. Perfect amount of commentary from u and the movie thx.
Watching you slowly freak out over this was great đđ and damnnn that kick to the head the mom gave at the end was perfect
i grew up around the neighborhood this was filmed at and i used to go to that same park.
Great and enjoyable reaction as always!!
I regularly quote "Put it out of its misery" with the accent
One of the best twists ever. Up there with Sleepaway Camp for WTF!?!?
Orphan is my favorite movie ever, and i can tell you for sure that Orphan 2 have a twist as chocking as this one
we need more high reactions lmfao
Soon!! Taking a while off to get my tolerance back down lol
Best plot twist ever!
nice! I personally really liked this movie, and that TWIST! But I'm pretty sure there was like.. 2 endings? the one we just saw, and another where they think they kill her and drive away, and when the police arrive, she's upstairs doing her makeup, singing, looking really fucking creepy, then smiles and says "hello, I'm esther"
Now, I also recommend Dark Water, Rec, Dark Crystal, and maybe even dark Crystal age of resistance
Loved your reaction I've never watched orphan but seems good
if you don't mind watching movies in a foreign language I highly recommend a South Korean movie "I saw the devil" (one of my favourite horror movies)
Iâm so glad u finally watched this
Me and my besties watched this for like 2 weeks straight at her house one summer. It was just always on in the background.
She even named her cat Ester, so she would freak people out all the time who didnât realize.
âNothing good comes out of Connecticutâ I am personally offended lol đ
It makes me laugh a lot when you do solo reactions but you still look to your left to commentate and you ask questions to the empty left side lol
Gotta watch orphan: first kill now. Loved you're reactions đ
Dude! Your commentary is so god damn Good!! đ đ Comedy đ Timing on Point!
Iâd be having some trial period before I bring someone into my home. Kid or not lol
âwhatâs his name? freggley?â im- đ
What up Mike, I missed ur live stream yesterday but keep up the good work
Damn we missed you last night g!
This movie literally caught my guard every momentđ , I recommend you to react itâs prequel Orphan: First Kill, and James Wanâ Malignant (that one have a plot twist that you not gonna miss)
Thereâs the second Orphan movie đ
Orphan: first kill.
And yes the other plot twist was jaw dropping for me too.
the prequel is such a wild ride you HAVE to watch it.
As someone from Connecticut, I completely agree that nothing good comes out of heređ
Love this đ
Great reactionđ
This movie was just something else and thatâs a good thing.
This movie is great. The new one is really good also. Itâs a prequel to this
Yo this is an very good film
A VERY good film
I love your reaction! Ciao from italy !
Classic they needa react to Jumper itâs always a 50/50 reaction to I u either hate it or love it
3:09 âwhat is Joaquin phoenix doing there?â đđđ
Yeah it's a pretty great twist..
Crazy plot twist
Dude less than a year after this movie came out CollegeHumor posted a video where they were spoiling movies that were super old like, âDarth Vader was his father!â And it friggen ended with a clip of this movie and screaming âshe was a 30 year old midget!!!â And I was so pissed.
I just found you and i love you. i think I know what I'm going to spend my afternoon doing. Please do the sequel
I watched this about two weeks ago and was shocked like you. Griffin have Thank God for that incredible twist because it was starting to be a very uncomfortable movie. I hear the sequel is very good, gonna have to check it out. Although itâs a prequel?
