When you realize that hoovie had nonstop problems with the transmission on his 12-c....
The Mclaren 12c is the most unreliable mclaren in the world
And yet I had a 12C for very close to 5 years from brand new that was basically my daily and never had any issues at all -- major or otherwise!! In fact, other than standard maintenance all I had done was replace 2 sensors. Now the 570 and 570 Spider is a COMPLETELY different story. So many issues between the two that I cancelled my order for a 600LT.
@@pineappletacos4727 lol keep in mind Mclarens are hand made in a laboratory type looking factory meaning each one is hand assembled so each Mclaren won't have the same problem one will drive out really reliable and some will be extremely problematic and somewil have mild small issues, like Randy. Savage had a 720 SPYDER which was stuck in the Mclaren shop for months and ended having 2 duplicates of the same car, one betty reliable and one not so reliable

All that silt in various cooling systems and air intake filters is about the worst thing you could do to your car. Plus it is likely working into various bearings which will reduce the life expectancy. Not to worry. The 12C was going to die no matter what. At least it will get serviced now before going on to the next victim. :)
