I was super excited to get this import from Aroid Market, but after the first time around this unboxing haul made me really anxious. I'm glad that I finally bit the bullet and imported several houseplants - which means, I'm now more confident in doing more plant importing.
Getting plants imported is scary. Plants can go through ALOT while traveling across the world. But, sometimes I could be your only option when it comes to getting your dream plant. Luckily for me, this import of rare plants worked out the second time around.
I still cant believe that I was able to check off several wishlist plants, in one unboxing đŠ

I have 3 Labisia varieties and find they appreciate warmth & humidity (+80%) and they do not like to dry out. I lost one because it I let it get too dry. I grow mine in pon in no drainage vessels with a small reservoir to keep the substrate hydrated at all times. Good luck with your new babies! Looking forward to seeing updates on them đ

Question: I am waiting for my first order from Aroid Market. What do YOU do with your plants from them after unboxing them? Sit it jar of water for a day? pot into orchid mix right away? Leca? wanting to have successful first buy from them.
Hey Scott! Yay! Iâm so excited for you! I just posted a video on my 2 week update with what Iâve been doing. But in short - Iâve placed them in water with SuperTHRIVE & Fishsh!t. I kept them in a humid environment 60%+ and changed out the water almost daily.
I've never done an import before, but I'd definitely consider it đ I really like every plant đ” they sent you. The Albo is super awesome đ and I love the last plant you showed too...TFS đ I love all your excitement for the Albo. Plants are so beautiful and precious and make many of us very happy đ

Why donât you wait to see what those leaves do in water and super thrive and then trim them if you still need to
They were goners to be honest. I didnât want the plant to put energy into saving those leaves vs growing roots. But I kept the green one to help photosynthesis

@@BotanicalBrunette Good question. I paid 120⏠for a bushy high variegata with lots of fenestrations. For me it was worth it. May not be the case for someome else.
