I can't even make my big toe move forward or back without all the other toes moving in the same direction and I can't move the other toes without the big toe not following them lol.

Keep at it! It comes back pretty quickly with repetition.

Haha…it gets easier. Wearing roe spaces in wide based shoes help these muscles activate much faster! 💪🏻💪🏻

So I can find a ton of videos online about all of these "raise your big toe by itself etc etc" but I can't find a single video that instructs me on HOW to get to this stage when I cannot presently raise my big toe all by itself without toes 2-5 coming along as well. Surely there are therapists who encounter people who can't move their toes independently. What do we do?

The best thing you can do is to still ‘do’ the exercise even if there’s no movement. This builds the brain/body connection and you will eventually be able to do it. Wearing toe spacers throughout your day will dramatically speed up the process. Good luck!

      Have you had any luck??

All 3 of these movements are physically impossible for me. All 5 toes wants to lift in harmony. When I try to splay my toes, absolutely nothing happens. Is this possibly indicative of something specific? This seems like something that is similar to people who are double jointed and can do many things other can't. Really curious how many people aren't physically able to do any of these.

Unless there is a very specific anomaly or previous injury/procedure, everyone is capable of performing this movement. I've worked with plenty of people who were unable to perform at the first try and finally got it down with toe spacers, better shoes, and lots and lots of repetition. Keep practicing!
