I'm 70 years old and was a Ballet dancer from 8years old until 25years old. My feet and legs are still young, younger than my face😁. I looked after my feet and although you can see the Ballet in them, they still look good. But I still dance when I'm alone. Yes you have beautiful feet and legs. Thanks for these exercises I saved it for personal use.🐞
❤️❤️❤️ Keep dancing! lots of love
I would love you hear about your "Life and Love of Ballet" Are you on Facebook? Do hope that you are keeping safe and well.

I've been doing these stretches for 2 weeks now and OMG I've seen such difference in my feet. My ankles feel so much stronger and my foot flexibility has really improved. THANK YOU!

Hillary Malik thank you so so much!! I have a pointe assessment in about a month and I’m really hoping it goes well☺️🥰💗
As a flat footed dancer its hard to make sections in dance, I wanted to give up dance because of my feet. Now that I have found this video, I have HOPE!!!! Thank you and I will keep an update on my progress
good luck!! dont let your feet stand in the way of dancing. theres always hope :)!
I like your always positive
Tamary Lee that’s pretty awesome of you as dancing with flat feet. I heard they hurt (no hate on them tho!). Hope u become a professional dancer!
Tatiana Rooney I like that your positive
Yeah flat foot hurt a lot, I’m trying tho
I am 53 and a beginner, this has helped me so much, thank you

50 and beginner. Great to see your feedback. I am going to do this daily
I'm not a dancer but I am a Muay Thai kickboxer and spend a lot of time up on my toes. This has definitely helped with my balance, stamina, and strength of my feet. Thank you so much! ❤️
Same here. I'm a beginner in kickboxing and it has done wonders for my flat feet in just 3 months of training, so I'm definitely trying these.
@@user-is7xs1mr9y Keep going! You got this!
This really helped my point after just doing it once I saw a difference
Payton Ferguson really? does this improve the arch?
How long did it take?

This has been part of my everyday practice for feet strengthening. So simple, no frills, and personal. After three consistent months, my feet and calves feel stronger when I dance or move around. You are beautiful to watch Tatiana!!!
Excellent exercises! And you have beautiful feet. I noticed that your curl your toes, you need to advise against this. When you curl your toes it can lead to bunions.
Day 1 : ✅ note: I finished the first day but I had to use the wall and made it through the whole vid

@@Diamond-rl2on I low key forgot 😭😭I’m not gonna lie I stopped doing dance by then
This fixed my right flat foot which caused my knee to rotate in and basically I had a weird right leg, so my legs were not symmetrical and not straight. But after doing this only twice, my right leg is almost the same as the left, and both legs are straighter. It reduced the size of the gap between my legs, which is crazy because I always thought it was just my genetics, but apparently a flat foot can throw everything out of proportion and cause internal rotation of the knee. I'm going to keep doing this everyday to attain and maintain a high arch and nice legs. Thank you!!!
Please let me know how this is still doing for you?? I have bad flat feet and saw this to help improve my over pronation and my knees growing going inward
For real?!!!
Dude I hate so much how my knees look, they make my legs look so crooked, so I hope this helps at least a little bit. I'm so happy for you!
Thank you for this video; I am not a ballerina, nor will I ever be, just some who enjoys walking and I have done other foot stretching exercises in the past and this is the best video I have encountered. It is not easy but it is doable, and leaves my feet feeling so good and strong.

Helps to strengthen muscles surrounding the bones & discourage arthritis from setting in.
Doing this suggested by my former yoga instructor to get my 77 yr old body back working well. As a former ballet student ( years ,lots of years ) ago. I'm loving this ! My body is remembering how it felt way back then & I'm smiling more ! Taking it slow . Knowing my body will respond ! ❤
I’m 71 year old man & professional actor. I took ballet when I was 21 for stage movement. Although I do exercise regularly I have found that I am having balance issues and decided I would try ballet exercises. I stumbled upon Tatiana’s video. I found that even the foot exercises in moderation and low intensity my balance is improving. I now incorporate these in my exercise routine. I not going to be doing any triple pirouettes anytime soon. But at least I can walk straight without a cane. Thank you Tatiana🙏
This was randomly suggested to me. I'm not a ballerina, but I'm a beginner in martial arts and I have flat feet. I recently discovered that now I have an arch! Even if it is not as pronounced as a normal arch, I'm beyond happy, so I'm going to incorporate these exercises before training because I need stronger feet and more balance. I wanted to be a ballerina since I was 4 years old, but my mom told me that ballet is not for tall girls lol, so I never pursued that career. I'm still very happy were I am now. Thank you so much for this video even if it is old and probably you'll never see this.
I just dance at home occasionally but I saw a TikTok of a dancer 'complaining' about her non-dancer roommate having beautiful arches. And I looked at mine and I was like 'well, mine look similar' lol
So I wondered what exercises dancers do to strengthen their feet. That's how I found your video.
I could follow along surprisingly well and feel quite happy about my feet. 😊
I might do these from time to time now. 🙂
Maybe I have strong feet also because I walk a lot and also use barefoot shoes quite often. ✨️
As a tennis player suffering from foot pain, doing these exercises made a world of difference in my feet. Thank you.
I did this with my 9-year old daughter; she often complains of foot pain. We will do it regularly, hopefully it will help relieve the pain by strengthening her feet :o) Thank you!
Gaby Szabo she may also have a flat foot or really arched foot, shoes play a huge role on foot pain
Or she can just be a dancer, oops😅
Take your daughter to a doctor for early intervention. Mine came too late and it's caused me a lot of pain and problems. I see so many children who have feet problems walking around. When you have issues, you notice.
while strengthening her feet is definitely a good idea, the root of the problem could be her pelvis or spine. so, yes, you should get her checked out by a doctor🙏 best of luck!
Robyn Brown Thank u for your advice! I took it and took my daughter to a podiatrist. She had a thorough assessment, and diagnosis, and is now being fitted for orthopaedics; she’s was also given a lot of useful, practical guidance by the doctor. I hope that the pain will improve: but my worries have already diminished. Thank u again!
@@gabyszabo9615 Thank you for helping her! You have saved her from foot, knee, hip and back pain and joint damage. I hope she look earns what she needs to do and never abandons good proactive habits. Woo Hoo! We have helped a child ❤
Thank you Im going to try this out. I'm an Amazon delivery driver; I'm on my feet all day. I have nothing but pain towards the end of my shift, even with comfortable shoes. I didn't even know it was possible to strengthen your foot. So I hope your methods works for me !
What a great idea instead of taking meds, worse going to a doctor for this. Yes, hands and feet can get very strong with exercise. The point is to start slow because the muscles are smaller than leg or arm muscles.
I'm a runner, and these have been helping a lot. My feet and ankles are my weakest link, so this has been very helpful in strengthening them for my long runs. Thanks!
Same reason why I am here! I’m no dancer, but these exercises have been helping my foot + ankle pain so much!
Runner as well here, how often do you do this? Is once a week enough?
I’m embarrassed to say I worked up a sweat with this one!
Don't be embarrassed! Sweat is something to be proud of, it shows you've been working!
Why embarrassed? That's GREAT!!
Same here, but I'm not a dancer at all. Just want to strengthen my muscles. This is a serious workout, but it is also excellent. God Bless any dancers, your bodies go through so much to do something so beautiful. 💗
@@dr.100purrscent5 that's awesome, mate! Good on you!
I've been doing dance for 1month with some intense exercises (mixed levels class) and the demi point exercises tire me the most. In fact, I sometimes get dizzy cause I feel like all my blood is stuck on my feets ahah so there's really 0 reasons to be embarassed
Thank you so much for this. I used to have flat feet, but I have been doing this every day for a year. My feet now have a nice arch and are strong to where I can now do many piourettes en pointe. What a life saver you are! I can’t say thank you enough!
I’m not a ballerina but I was born with a club foot so I have very limited mobility in my right foot. I’ve always suffered with lack of balance but since doing strengthening exercises I’ve noticed increase in mobility and balance!! This exercise is great!!

i'm 15 years and it'll be my first time using pointe shoes finally!! glad quarantine is over, i've been waiting for this for so long, i'll try to follow these excercises for a long time
How long did you train for the Pointe?
I don't even dance ballet but this is a great feet workout for general fitness. Also, flexibility goals!
I'm not even a dancer, I was just looking for some exercises because my ankles keep collapsing outward amd I lose balance doing everyday things. This was very fun to follow along and it felt good to feel like i have some control over my feet :)

Hahaha.... well I mildly rolled my ankle twice, and then had a bad fall while skating and almost broke my ankle 6 months ago 🙃 I've had all the scans and nothing got torn or reaaally broken, but I've been on crutches for over a month and wore a brace for a while. I also got a few weeks of physical therapy and exercises to help with the stability of foot and ankle muscles, and am almost pain free again? I'm good most of the time but I'm also a lot more careful. And I wish I had done these exercises more, cause I could have avoided injuring myself this badly and been in way less pain had I had better stability and control alskdjfj

Wow. I am so weak! I followed this routine for the first time, I'm not a dancer and I am beyond stiff and weak! That was a killer I swear. I'll definitely do it again
Same it was the longest 13 mins of my life I could barely get through 5 mins without taking a break I'm gonna start coming back to this every day though💀
First, I want your perfect legs! Second, you move your feet like hands! Amazing! I can’t lift my toes up like that! Makes me regret thatI never took ballet, but as a senior female, I’m happy to have the info. Thank you!
Never to late to take it up 😀
I’m 70 and just got back to ballet after four years off due to Covid.
Took for 40 years and started pointe at age 40.
I’m told my legs look like those of a twenty-year-old.
Of course, after some time off, I’m not as strong as I was but I teach yoga and Pilates so I’m working in parallel instead of the turnout. Whew!
That’s tough!
I’m not a dancer although I love it! I am an active 61 year old who has struggled with plantar fasciitis for years. I’ve also started developing hammer toes and bunion. These exercises have helped me so much, my feet feel comfortable and alive and I can feel the them tingle and happy. Back to long wanks with no pain!!! Thank you. 🙏
As someone who just started pointe before lockdown, this is really helpful for keeping my foot strength up and improving! Thanks!
Same well I’m just waiting for my pointe shoes to be ordered then I will be ready to start
Recently I’ve been really into ballet, but I’ve never done it before. I did this exercise and there are sore muscles which I never new existed before! Massive respect to anyone who can balance like that, to think that dancers have to be on theirs TIP-TOES??? My goodness!!!!
my posture therapist told me ppl overlook the feet when training for posture and how ballet is like one of the best ways to strengthen it. thanks for this!
wth are u talking about, ballet kills your feet
This was ridiculously hard. I notice that a lot of ufc fighters train their feet for explosiveness but I never knew how actually difficult it was. Excellent video. Thank you!
As a ballet dancer, this is amazing. I recently started pointe with only a year's experience (yes I was approved), and so I have quite weak ankles. This is helping me to strengthen my ankles, toes, and calves so that I can start doing centre work en pointe! Thank you so much for thisl
I did a year of ballet last year but I‘ve been off again for various reasons this year and halfway through, I was ready to give up with the side of my shin cramping and the soles of my feet hurting. 😅 So this definitely is needed and I‘ll have to remember to come back to this video regularly! My main sport is pole dancing, so strong feet in flexy moves are important!
I rolled my ankle on a root while running trails, barefoot. So, I'm doing these to help strengthen my ankles and feet. Thanks
I'm once again watching this without ever doing ballet before. The videos I enjoy...
All I have to say is “thank you”

I'm doing this before I start Irish Dance class for the first time in almost 10 years! I quit going to weekly classes when I was 7 due to being bullied, and since I'm in Ireland my primary school offered drop-in classes for about 2 years after, but I'm going back to weekly classes (to a different teacher) as soon as this damn lockdown finally ends here! Can't wait!
My feet feel great after doing these just a couple of days! I’m very aware of the balls and arches as I walk around, and my stride feels much more solid. It’s like my feet are awake and talking to me, and I feel much stronger riding my skateboard :-)
Thank you!
I'm an amateur contemporary dancer with plantar fasciitis, and I often find that my balance is shaky. This video is excellent balance training, honing the arch, toe, ankle, and calf muscles I need to feel grounded--and most importantly, my brain! After doing these exercises a few times a week for three months, I'm feeling much more confident on demi-pointe, and I've got serious calf muscles to boot! Thank you so much, Tatiana!
As a non ballerina person, I’ve never considered doing feet and toe exercises. But after a couple of weeks of doing only some of the exercises, my troublesome right ankle is feeling stronger than before. Thank you for posting.
You should do theraband exercises too , they helped my ankle
As an equestrian who uses her ankles and Achilles tendons to absorb big movements when riding thank you! This has helped my tendonitis so much when I ride! With more strength training I should be pain free soon!
I never realized what muscles you all use for horseback riding! Whoa
I'm not a dancer at all. I've never done dance. But I want to do this routine just to strengthen my ankels.

I am starting doing this everyday and updating my progress. My arch is not bad but my toes won't point!
Day 1: ✔️ the calf raises were hard. The pointy exercises felt good! I realised I struggle to flex after pointing the toes.
Day 2 : ✔️
I'm a dancer that's been out of practice for a few months and I just started getting back into classes but my feet don't point as well and ankles are so weak! I'm hoping doing this every day will help get them back in shape!
UPDATE: I've been doing this almost every day for about 2 ish weeks and I've already seen an improvement! My balances are a lot better, my ankles have strengthened, and my feet point so much nicer than before! I'm so glad I started doing these exercises and I'm going to continue to do them!
Very useful
I'm also getting back into dancing after a few months, do you have any other video suggestions that I could look at?
I never realized how strong my legs were until I did this W O A H! Also never realized my arch could go that far.
Omg thank you so much Tatiana! I was a dancer of ~15 years that stopped when I went to college 7 years ago, only to realize during quarantine how much I miss it... I did your video once and my flat/low arched feet feel SUCH a difference. I'm gonna do it every day so I can start dancing again safely! All the love :)
I’m not a dancer, but I used to be in ballet, dance, gymnastics, tumbling, and competitive cheer. It’s been 3 years since I quit and it’s been a tough 3 years for me. About a week ago I started doing a workout every day and I always do this in the evening. Even though it’s only been about a week I’ve seen a huge improvement in my feet and leg strength. Ty for this video because this is like the only good follow along foot routine I could find.

This has helped me so so much! I’ve been doing this everyday and already have a lot stronger feet! Thank you :)
great!! im glad to hear the video helped you! :D
When I picked up ice skating my feet became much stronger and it hugely improved my arch pronation tendencies. But the arenas closed last year so I’m trying to get back to “game shape.” These are really good exercises. Your strength is extremely good. You should try skating if you never have!
I am 68 and starting as a new beginner my ballet journey. Your video is excellent and I know will help me a lot!
I've been trying to do these exercises 3 to 6 times a week, and I'm already noticing an increase in strength. Funnily enough: it shows up when cycling, which didn't expect. It actually makes me a lot more stable at stops and when starting (for non-cyclists: those are the most wobbly moments!) and my legs are getting stronger, too.
Thank you very much!
whew this hurt good! Wow, I have never considered how much we can stretch the feet and toes. I've been trying to strengthen my ankles bc I get tired in heels QUICK. This has been incredible. I'm encouraged to do this every day until my upcoming pageant! Thanks for the upload!
Former dance student here. I need to do this daily to strengthen my feet and ankles.I want to be able to wear my heels comfortably like I used to.My balance will improve too with more ankle strength ! Thank you ❤️
In my opinion, standing on pointe honestly looks so beautiful and gentle, and very graceful. I don't know why but I love it.
my knees: shaking
my calves: burning like hell
my feet: broken
my spirit: strengthened
thanks, I do Irish dance and this helps tons!
Me too. This is amazing and her voice is so encouraging and the music is fun
This already made an improvement to my feet after 3 days!! Thank you :)
I’m going to use this for overall health instead of for dancing. As a runner I have neglected my feet way to often. I honestly trust dancers with stretching and strengthening more than anyone else because of the demand dancing has on the body. They have to take care of themself so well in order to keep going.
You’re movement patterns are very good. Great display of mobility and good strength. Can see the development in your feet as result of your consistent practice.
Came across this vid trying to strengthen my feet and ankles during quarantine and the winter, when I cant run. Great explanations of the movement and why you are doing them. Keep up the great work!
I’m actually a figure skater, but this video helped me so much!
Me too!
my foot and arch improved a lot with these exercises! I’m almost ready for point shoes and I’m so happy
I have never done ballet so I have no idea what any of the names she's saying mean but I'll be honest - when she said you can hold onto something to help (8:41 or so) that really spoke to me. I only just recently started doing calf exercises on single legs and it's hard so I hold onto something, but this helped me realise this isn't challenging me at all!
I have weak calves and feet cause I never thought to exercise them for years so I'm going to give this a shot. Thanks
Thank you for this! I have developed weak ankles over the years and its so helpful! Fabulous
This routine is awesome!! I’ve been doing it a few times a week for awhile and my leg lines and feet and ankle strength and flexibility have improved! thank you!
Definitely the best video for stability, stamina, and overall strength and flexibility. I have followed along to this video for a few months now and it has helped so much!
I am testing for pointe shoes in a few months and these exercises have helped me so much thanks!
Wow, even your toes are graceful. I'm not a dancer but I don't have good balance while on one foot, have done this once and will continue. Thanks.
I"am not a ballerina but I need to do it! Wonderful exercises.

For the flat footed ppl, have you tried a resistance band? It helped me. And some ppl said rolling a tennis or small ball under the “arch” helps too. I haven’t gotten around to that one yet. Plus rolling out the feet randomly throughout the day and doing the Demi pointe to pointed. GL enthusiasts and dancers ☺️
This is a gem of a video. We’ve started this as a warm up for our dance training. We do Brazilian zouk dancing and more than one of my instructors recommended this video. Just wanted to give you a shout-out and thanks for making this video.
I'm so glad I found this. When I had to stop doing yoga due to a series of health problems, I lost years of progress I made with balance, especially on my toes. This was hard but easy enough to modify for beginners. I found myself using everything from my core to my toes for balance, all in a short, concise workout. Thanks so much, Tatiana. You also have a nice, soothing voice which isn't necessary, but a big bonus :).
thank you so much, i've stopped my ballet classes for half a year and I'm just now picking them up again at my old level. this video helped me a lot to realize my feet were not in their old condition and i need to practice, this video is perfect.
255lbs, 36 year old Infanteer here. I've started incorporating this into my training after my morning walks. Years of combat boots and rucking with weight have reduced my ankle mobility. I'm hoping to see improvements in my walking and running from this, in addition to improved stability.
Many pro athletes incl footballers do yoga for same reasons. Bob and Brad also have good videos on many physical therapy topics. Cheers ✌️🌎
As a runner, I have found these exercises invaluable when recovering from Plantar Fascia. Thank you!
Amazing! Getting my strength back after several injuries. This was harder than it should be, but I'm so glad for it!
when I took ballet pointe classes, they did not have any of these exercises...I still practice ballet, i will be including this in my routine practice. thank you.
This seems like a great workout, it's the third day doing it and I'm already more comfortable and feeling less burning 😅 while in the first two days I had to stop between exercises now I don't, I'm going to keep doing it and see where that leads me
OMG thank you so much! I am going to go on point because of this workout! I noticed not only more strength but a much more beautiful point as well
Thank you, Tatiana, as I've been doing your workout for a month now and I am seeing a dramatic strength increase and this is translating into much improved Ballet.
I'm starting ballet late compared to most other dancers in my class, this video is helping me a lot. Thank you!
