You guys should do more song brackets for rappers like lil Wayne, Travis Scott, Kendrick
Absolutely agree!!!
100%!
Agreed
Need it
travis wouldnt be a good vid cause 90210 solos
hating graduation just because 2 songs is absolutely ridiculous
edit: idc what you say graduation is top 3 ye argue with a wall
it has like 13 songs and 2 bad songs will make it a 8/10 and tbh on avg tcd lr 808s mbdtf are above 8 so u can make the take but nah
imo grad is top 4 ye
Graduation is bare minimum an 8/10 but it’s also his least original album, and also sounds the most dated, I agree with the bottom 3 take but not what the sentiment behind the take was, every thing else is just so good
@@brickhouse8822 bro what??? Songs like cant tell me nothing, flashing lights, good life, i wonder sound like they could be made today and still sound fresh
@@deeroybeatz great songs, but a lot of lyrical topics, deliveries, and mainly the production all sound very 2000s, if I had never heard it then it would not be hard to guess when it was made, there is nothing wrong with that and he’s not ripping anyone off it’s still original, but every other album that he’s made I can think of more reasons that it sounds fresh,
@@brickhouse8822 how can you ever say graduation isnt original😂 he litterally changed up his whole sound from the 2 previous albums
Love ending my day with a new NFR video. You guys have great chemistry and always make me laugh. 😂
Thanks Alan! Hope it was a good day😎
Ye is so underrated
fax
Definitely not bottom 3 Kanye
Yeah it’s great
disagree, it has 7 tracks and gave us a masterpiece, a great song, and 5 mid songs
Jesus is king is better than ye
hip hop twitter is honestly the worst social media place ive ever seen lmao
Hh ig is so much worse
So much worse
@@Aburner960 social media in general sucks to be honest lol it’s hell to go thru a single thread or a comment section
@@align8325 very true
@@Aburner960 and raptok is even worse...
rappers like carti and travis created new styles of hip hop just by breathing into a mic. as soon as their careers started they were unique and them today are just evolutions. true legends
Travis not carti
@@jaydenminthorn7322 nah carti too. He’s created an entire new wave with rappers like yeat lucki and ken Carson. Those aren’t really the best rappers in my opinion but regardless there are people out there that love them
@@kevoquinn2225 Don’t ever compare trash azz Carti style to Travis Scott style and influence
Replace trashcan Carti with Future
@@liltree8382 future and young thug are as impactful if not more
Y’all should do an origin story of the channel if it hasn’t been a video yet.
I love these hot take videos thanks for the great content I’ll always support you guys
I love when you guys do hot takes !! People just say the wildest and dumbest things good work NFR👊🏽😂
While I've never really listened to much J. Cole or never been a massive fan of him, I've always loved JID's music. That being said, it is undoubtable which one has had more impact as a whole... JID is definitely in his prime right now but it's hard to understate J. Cole's ability.
It’s only some takes you’ll see on the internet. Every time they get on a track together, Cole kinda rinses JID. JID will never make a project as impactful or better than FNL, The Warm Up, or even a 2014 FHD and 4YEO. JID’s music greatest achievement will be that his music will have lots of hype on the internet from white teenagers and Fantano followers.
@@MrASAPAB j Cole is overated JID has the better technique ability and j Cole even having classics in the slightest is debatable itself
@@rogue9230 nah. 2014 FHD is a certified classic. JID is dope but I dont see him putting out a classic like FHD ever
@@MrASAPAB Jid definitely isn't better then J. Cole but honestly if the Forever Story levels of quality is kept up he may surpass J. Cole in terms of pure rapping. However, interms of influence on the culture + having a successful label I doubt he'll ever be as impactful.
@@AGrepSTN2Mj Cole is just too over hyped even Drake had a better prime then him
Awesome video guys
Blonde is in my personal 20 albums of all time
i agree with lou on the without warning take , that album is perfect
Last four songs doesn’t keep up the same level but it’s still great
@@DGEL03 that’s crazy , you don’t mess with still serving and darth vader ?
@@gregoriovillamar5197 i miss with em but not as heavily. But the take is still reasonable
@@gregoriovillamar5197 tbh the only song i skip is run up some the racks so it isn’t TOTALLY flawless to me but it’s fine cuz im not into trap that much and my only skipless trap album would be astroworld. i still think rodeo has higher highs though
@@align8325skipless? It’s fire but sicko mode gotta be a skip dawg that songs wack
Can’t believe y’all are over 100k I’ve been subbed since before 5k subs
I definitely feel that it’s almost dry should be in the discussion of top 10 rap albums of the year but I don’t see it touching top 5. It’s not Daytona but I thinks its of quality for sure. I agree when it comes to elevation and how it’s not a drastic change from Daytona but I don’t think it had to be that way. What do you guys think? Love the content guys have a good one!
I strongly agree. I feel like it could be top five if it didn’t have Call My Bluff, scrape it off and rock n roll in there. Not that those r bad songs, i even keep coming back to rock n roll, but in the grand scheme of things they definitely drag the album down for me. I think the first 6 songs were if not daytona level, then very damn close at least and the outro is super slept on especially considering the phenomenal malice verse
@@align8325 Is it just me that literally loves call my bluff lol? Idk why I just love the song but I do agree with the other two being weaker songs in the tracklist. It would’ve been cooler if those were put out as just singles outside of this project and I feel that it does bring the consistency down a little bit.
@@JustiBuns i hated it first listen but lately gave it a few spins to catch the bars I missed and i cant lie it grew on me a little bit. I just find pushas flow and the overall feel of the song underwhelming. ima keep playing it to see if it sticks with me but i still think it’s a weaker link compared to tracks like ltsstc, neck and wrist and just so u remember
I disagree. I honestly like it more than Daytona but im not a fan of Kanyes more skeletal minimalistic stuff and when he does it on It’s Almost Dry its done much better. Pharell and Push are just too good imo and I love what they did here they bring out the best i each other. I personally give It’s Almost Dry the edge cause of Pushas singing and storytelling as well rather than all punchlines
It sucks.
Yo NFR You Guys Should Do A SoundCloud Rap Era Tier List.
okay that pencil case analogy was amazing 😂
It really is
Bro !, That Can-sample on Drunken Hot Girls is awesome.
Rodeo and Without Warning are my two favorite albums of all time, but Rodeo fucking dominates Without Warning in any way shape or form
100%
Absolutely.
Rodeo obliterates any other trap album
@@RandomationsYt Absolutely.
@@RandomationsYt it’s not even a trap album
Should also do a video on the new soundcloud era, artists that you mentioned like Autumn, Summrs, Sofaygo, Ken Carson, Kankan etc
Another great day ending with NFR!
Rodeo, DS2 > Without Warning
disagree with the first take but also disagree with donda being an "undoubtedly bottom 3 kanye album", its in my top 5 personally
bottom 3 for me is JIK ye and LR
@@napoopy LATE REGISTRATION BOTTOM 3?
L
It’s subjective but I don’t see how anyone could argue Donda is better than anything before Ye
@@559austin5 its his opinion chill
Love this content
I have a very Hot Take: TPAB isn't Kendrick's best album, I think GKMC is a better project. I think both are amazing albums, but I don't find as much replay value in TPAB than I do with GKMC. I think GKMC is easier to listen to and has the perfect blend of bangers and meaningful/thought provoking songs. I think easy listening is an underrated quality in conscious hip hop and Kendrick perfected that with GKMC. I will always appreciate TPAB quality and greatness, it's still one of the best rap albums of all time, but GKMC is my favorite Kendrick album.
I agree gkmc is better
Not a hot take at all really. It's pretty much 50/50 on whether people think GKMC or TPAB is his best.
I disagree. Tpab has a lot of replay value, it’s just that you don’t often go back to most of the songs if you aren’t listening to the full album. Tpab has no skips at all imo and gkmc has like 1 or 2
@@PotatoPizza420 can i ask what are they?
also u just kinda proved the OGs point about the replay value lol
@@align8325 i think gkmc is a great album and whilst i think sherane aka master splinters daughter does a lot for the album in terms of story telling, it doesn't have that much replay value
Graduation slander won’t be tolerated
I couldn’t even listen to the first take I had to fast forward
Graduation is a beautiful album. It’s my favorite album period
Thumbnail already has me baffled
Hot Take: 5% TINT is a top 5 song off ASTROWORLD
I definitely respect and agree with ur take on cole vs jid
You guys should do a The Weeknd song bracket
My hot take is that Wale is severely underrated because of his complex rant and ppl took that and discredited him as an artist and a rapper. He's one of the best rappers with a solid a discog.
I will say it again, my hot take is NFR hasn’t had a miss on a video
It's not a hot take. We all agree on that
Nah they did on the Uzi’s red & white review
Their Uzi video, they're Gunna video and their The Blueprint vs MMLP video are all really trash
JID is showing that he has the potential to be better than J Cole but he hasn’t shown the variety, influence, or impact that J Cole has. He had the technical ability for sure but once he starts expanding his sound with more songs like Kody, and dominating the game in different ways then it could be a real conversation
Dam. I think it’s Almost Dry is fire! It’s my fav rap album of the year. I’m seeing push next month.
What else you liked this year? My favorite is Melt my Eyez see your future
The Grad take is spot on
9:58
Nah I agree with Luc here on the take that the 2015 - 2017 sound cloud boom will never happen again there is just not that much unique sounds like we heard from sound cloud in that time. It's so dry in sound cloud everyone that is blowing up now sounds the same or has no substance. Uzi had to drop Red + White EP on sound cloud exclusively for a limited time to move the waters around in sound cloud again. I really think it will be a very long time before we see anything like that sound cloud run with Uzi, carti, Xxx, juice wrld, trippe red, denzel curry, kodack black, 21 savage, lil yachty, and a lot more.
We’ll speak about this topic more in an upcoming video😎
@@NFRPodcast awsome great content as always guys can't wait 😀
Please do more song brackets!!!
Bro carti sounded like a spaced out chief keef in the beginning. uzi was getting compared to thug non stop when he came in the game. You could argue koda sounded like lil boosie.
You can’t expect these new wave rappers to sound cutting edge n original out the gate you gotta let them grow
Lu always has the best analogies
I agreed on what y’all said about lil baby I’ve been rocking with him since 2017 & he’s been sounding the same on all his stuff for awhile now sadly
Excited for his new album?
@@NFRPodcast for sure im a fan of him since street gossip i need another baby banger
But the song he recently release make me worry the album would be the next DS4🧐🧐
@@hartdz6808 facts that detox song one of the worst songs he’s dropped in a minute and it was his lead single for the album 💀
@@NFRPodcast of course I hope its good
I feel like drunk and hot girls gets a lot of hate even though I think its a banger
jid has yet to make any song better than j Coles Losing my balance, hold me down, 2face, Crooked smile, Dead presidents 2, come on. like j Cole is a legend because how many gems he has. we talking about multiple classics
YE IS ONE OF HIS BEST WORKS
Good Morning top 5 intro of all time
Wtf is good morning
Without warning is my favorite trap Album . Shit is fire and I was not even a 21 or offset fan when I 1st played it and it made me fuck wit them both
Donda is really underrated tbh
Lol that pencil case analogy was acc tuff 😂🔥
I actually agree with graduation, i think it’s technically better than Ye and Donda, but me personally I prefer those to graduation
I do think that The Forever Story is a better album than J Cole has ever released
dont rate the donda disrespect
Pitbull top 15 lmao
Picture that with a kodak 🤣
I agree w Pusha take, personally I think this may have been a case where Pusha sat on his music too long. Standouts like neck & wrist, plus hear me clearly w/Nigo, and Diet Coke all were done this year; But it sounds like the rest of the album is old compared to the sounds that we’re hearing this year on other standout albums
“E-wan” 😭😭 did his name dirty
People hyperbolize the hell out of Drunk and Hot Girls and Barry Bonds being bad. They just parrot the same crap that someone else says. I would even go as far as saying that they would be a top 5 song on most of his other records. Graduation is a masterpiece imo, and anyone saying it's overrated is just a troll or a contrarian for contrarian's sake.
Thank you!!
aint no way Grad is bottom 3 bc of 2 songs 💀💀💀, it is at least top 5
Graduation take is the worst i’ve heard 😭 It’s easily his best album, and will always be
Graduation is great and probably still top 5 Kamye but definitely feels a bit shallow and even amateur compared to albums like MBDTF, TLOP, Kids see ghosts or Donda. Even if you prefer his younger, more naive and fun era I still think college dropout is superior as well.
Agree with that first take, but bottom 3 is a little far. Bottom 5 for sure tho
Without Warning as the best trap album is a great hot take. I love that album, but that’s a hard argument to make when you look at the other contenders. I ain’t mad at it tho
Oh I agree with that Frank Ocean take man
Def still have J cole over JID. Luca had great points about the 2016 soundcloud era just being their own sounds and vibes
The Forever Story, unironically is better than any Cole project except maybe 4YEO, imo
Cant believe you didn’t react to my take😭😭😭😂😂
For the JID vs Cole comparison... ehhhhhh
I've been saying this since dicaprio 2 that JID in pure rapping skill is a top 5 all time easily BUT in terms of impact, discography and longevity Cole far surpasses JID. Give it time however and JID will surpass Cole. Especially being on his label it allows JID to learn from Cole directly
"hotel room"
W
i can’t wait to hear you guys do reviews on $odababy when he blows up🎸❕
Without warning top 2 trap albums
I agree with the lil baby take. Its the beat selection for me... its always the same
1. MBDTF
2. College Dropout
3. Graduation
4. Late Registration
5. Life of Pablo
6. 808s and Heartbreaks
7. Yeezy
8. Donda
9. Ye
10. JIK
Ye >> Donda by a mile
“Listen to the music bra”😅
Donda is underrated
NAHHH ITS ALMOST DRY AOTY EASILY
JID doesn’t have as many albums, but there isn’t a Cole project as high quality as TFS
You playing right?
graduation is kanye's best album. debate a wall😁
unpopular opinion: the graduation take isn’t a bad take
I kinda agree however I’m not sure if I’d put it bottom 3, defo bottom 5 out of all his solo albums
This is a serious question, why do people hate 'drunk and hot girls'? I find it really repetitive, however the instrumental and sounds at the end are kinda great. I just think it's a little too long. It's not his worst song.
Following the crowd.
Thug motivation 101 is the best trap album of all time
Donda is not bottom 3
Saying Graduation is bottom 3 is just saying you want to be different.
Because of how much Cole has done in his career so far, I still prefer Cole, still love JID
Yall on drugs if you think graduation is better then MBDTF or College dropout. Pablo is better then graduation to me easy
Graduation is a classic!
@@NFRPodcast it definitely is but it just is not fucking with the 3 I said . I just don’t ever go back to it for some reason
Graduation is Kanyes best album
W first take
Donda as bottom 3 of Kanye's catalog 😮 jeepers creepers
It’s almost dry is 100% top 5, maybe 3 of the year
graduation isn’t better then the college dropout
Song bracket for Death Grips: WHAT IS THE WORST DEATH GRIPS SONG
Damn that's hard. Something off no love deep web probably.
How about discussing some underground rappers folks. Estee Nack the best rapper as of right now. ✅
1.Graduation is #5 or #6 for me
2.Lil Baby has been abit oversaturated to the point where it’s gotten abit repetitive. Still enjoyable.
3.Without Warning not the greatest in the lane but one of the best
4.The forever story is easily better than any Cole project but Cole has the bigger catalogue so could be hard to choose JID now.
5.Too hard to tell right now but I don’t think so far. So much of it is very derivative of the SoundCloud era still.
6. mr worldwide got classics lmao
7.It’s Almost Dry is a great project
8.Blonde is an amazing album
Graduation not even the best of the college trilogy... In fact, 80% of the listeners that actually listened to that when it came out, felt graduation was way worst than the others
And the other 20% are pop music fans
dont care what no body says Yeezus And 808s are Kayne's Best albums but thats just me
1:31 Quandale Dingle crossed-over with NFR Podcast. We live in the best timeline
graduation is kanyes best album
hot take: ye is a top five kanye album.
Office and 21 savage😂😂
Wooah woah woah “Ye” the album is underrated 🤦🏾♂️
4 your eyez only is coles second best album
Donda and Ye aren’t bottom 3 kanye imo. My hot take is Ye Is a top 3 kanye album and it’s my most listened to album of all time front to back
I agree with that ghost town is phenomenal and Ye is one of my favorites as well a very underrated kanye album.
Anyone else think that Barry Bonds is the most underrated kanye song?
