Good for you, Chris, on all fronts. Incredibly brave to pop smoke at 12 years but the Army is getting weird.

Thanks for sharing all these updates, Chris! Selfishly I wish you were in PA, but I believe Tennessee is perfect for your family’s needs. I definitely didn’t expect the emotional response I had to moving Dad’s tools and saying goodbye to that darn dream shop. I am just so happy that you have a place to move them, and can’t wait to see the new house. We’ll definitely be along for the ride!

I just received my dust collection chute for my Bosch miter saw yesterday and got it installed. Very well made, easy to install and I'm looking forward to trying it out! Just a bit of advice on another subject: consider trying the National Guard. You can do eight more years standing on your head and you'll have that retirement pay when you hit 60. I had a six year break between the Marine Corps and the Army Guard and I'm glad I did it. No, I'm not a recruiter, LOL....but I've been in your boots. Good luck to you, thanks for your service and for the CZcams content! Great channel!

Chris. I got one of you dust collectors for my Bosch saw about three weeks ago and have been using it quite a bit building garage cabinets. It was a very good purchase……works great! I look forward to seeing what else you have in store. Blessings to you and your family.

Thank you for sharing your amazing story about your daughter…God is SO good! Also, thank you so much for your videos, they are very helpful. I recently purchased a Rikon 10 inch 10-3061 bandsaw and your video really made my set up go much easier than it otherwise would have! Very glad I found your channel…may God continue to bless you and your family!!

God is blessing you (and your family) in so many ways!
I wish you well in your transition. I spent my career as a civilian employee of the DOD and worked with several people who had been on active duty.

Hi Chris, I was touched to hear your amazing story about your daughter. So glad that you had a happy ending to that story. I also was happy you shared so much about your faith. The world needs more of that. God is good! I saw your video about dust collection and have a 12” Dewalt sliding miter. I’d be curious to see more details about the dust collection and it’s effectiveness. God bless, Tom

make sure you get copies of all your military stuff. medical, dental, awards, everything. cause is something happened to you while you were in. you'll have to have as much documentation as possible to prove it. I'm still trying to get some of the benifits after being out for 20 yrs.

Hey Leslie, none while in the Army. My father was a shop teacher and general contractor, most of what I know and where I cut my teeth was apprenticing with him.

@Chris Harpster, Benchtop Woodworks Curious, nice story. Main reason I asked is I, also, got out before my 20. Got injured and basically blocked from reenactment, refused medical board...I hate drama, so I just walked...but my passion for woodworking has reignited. Too many ideas...lol
