In this paranormal investigation, we take you through the history of Vale Cemetery and the haunts that have built its reputation over time as one of New York's most haunted places. The Vale has existed since 1850, and we're out for a walk to investigate if any ghosts have made the place their home or if the urban legend of the black angel has any truth to it.

Used to live by this cemetery and I remember one night I was walking through Hell’s gate with a couple of friends and we came across a cult doing satanic rituals, I even saw a cat hung upside down from a tree and gutted

Veeder is the family's last name who the marker was placed for. A marker that size indicated a wealthy family who likely had multiple burial plots around it over time,
Unfortunately, this cemetery gets vandalized by young adults and kids who don't have engaging and enriching activities to occupy them, or are neglected at home and school and likely turn to destruction for entertainment. It's sad to see, and really shameful, but many times the people who do it, don't understand the consequences or the moral implications of what they're destroying in the moment. Vale is old, it’s been vandalized so heavily by people for years, there’s nothing good that comes from spreading bs about “hell gates” at hallowed grounds. Every old cemetery has that story and it’s passé. Done. Gets the places more vandals.
