Super Bomberman 2 Speedrun -

- Speedrun of Super Bomberman 2, NTSC-U version, done on BizHawk 1.11.3, Compatibility Core. Timing starts when I gain press Start on the title screen and ends when the final boss (the eye) starts exploding after receiving the 6th and final hit.
This is a pretty grind-heavy game because of all the randomness involved, but all the cool strategies make it a solid speedgame. This run is definitely not perfect, but quite good and lucky overall. Worlds 1 and 2 weren't the best, but that's almost a given, heh. The walk-over-blocks item in 3-5 was quick, and the last two worlds were pretty fast. This can be pushed to a sub-22, but you would need some insane RNG.

How do you survive getting blown up at a few different points? Bomberman flashes but he doesn't seem to get damaged. Is that an item or a technique?
This is thanks to the heart item. For each heart I take, I can survive an extra hit. I get hit a lot to speed up the last boss fights because I know I still have several hearts left ;)

Yes, you're invincible after the boss has been beaten in those areas (I believe it's the case for all mid-bosses and big bosses).

What are these games called where you can see them from a top to bottom View and also are there any more games similar to this up to four players?
Fern Builds uhh the "view" could be listed as a "Bird's Eye View" but, the Bomberman games that have this camera are usually two player only.
At 2:57 the door doesn't respawn the enemies when it is blown up. Why is this?
It is because all the enemies are dead then. Blowing up the door doesn't respawn enemies when all of them are gone. That's why I wait quite a bit for the last bomb enemy to die before I throw that bomb.
