Palworld is an action-adventure survival game developed by Pocket Pair, a Japanese game developer. The game is set in an open world filled with animal-like creatures called Pals. Players can battle and capture Pals to use them for base building, traversal, and combat. The game was launched into Early Access on PC and Xbox and has sold millions, broke records, and dominated internet discourse for various reasons. The game has been described as “Pokémon with guns” by some due to the ability to capture Pokémon-like monsters called Pals in special balls and give them their own guns to use. The game has received a lot of attention since its reveal in 2021, and it finally entered Early Access on PC via Steam and on Xbox in January of 2024

For anyone having trouble with servers, I would recommend joining the official Palworld Discord here, and asking for help (or searching for topics) in the server help and dedicated server help rooms. There are a lot of people there willing to try and help you out, and lots of posts covering problems you may be having: discord.com/invite/pocketpair
from what I see, all they did was add cross-play. until I see dedicated servers i can run through my xbox (like minecraft servers), they aren't xbox dedicated servers. Step 1 shouldn't be download and host a steam server

Started one on shockbyte and it's been three days and the server still isn't up and running. Keep getting the connection timeout Everytime I try to join. They still have yet to get back to me.
So the pal world server i made is a different version then the one on the xbox
My server is up and running but it doesn't show up on the server list, I have to join by entering the server address. My friends on xbox can't do that, so I don't know how to get them into the game. I'm using a shockbyte server

Did anyone find a fix for not being able to join their own server? I've set it all up and can see it in the community listing however I cannot join it.
I have setup my own berry byte server for xbox with the help of the staff at berry byte and me and my freinds have been able to play and not had any game crashes just one server crash/bug out which i just had to press the "kill" button on my berry byte admin and then i was able to rejoin straight away
have you opened the port on windows firewall? I think you also need to add a new rule in windows defender. not that I have ever had any luck myself.

on xbox you are unable to find servers using the ip adress you have to search for the actual server name

i would not want to anyway because your good character will just get fucked up by how bugged out these servers are.
From Xbox, no unfortunately. Once you have a server save file on whatever computer you use as a host, however, that new save file can be copied, saved, transferred, etc to your heart's content. But unfortunately that won't help at the moment.

@@Matt90Cummins Same here. I was able to join only because it was in my recent servers from where i tested it on my pc before the xbox.
Make sure you click on community server before you search it, if u search on official server it won't come up

With berrybyte can you adjust the game settings and how
In the management panel, go to Startup to edit server name and password etc.
To change settings, stop the server, go to Files > Pal > Saved > Config > Linuxserver > Palworldsettings.ini
Then change the values in there that you want to change, save it and then restart the server.
Ok , can somebody explain how to move coop world with players from Xbox platform to that hired hosting ?
I don't think there is anyway you can move a save file from your Xbox onto a dedicated server

Not sure, it might be possible if you can locate the save files. I'd recommend asking on the discord, I linked it in the pinned comment on this vid.
When I saw that palworld severs were coming to Xbox I assumed that we would get a server hosted by Microsoft for free to access on Xbox. So all this is doing is allow for Xbox players to access paid servers (or self hosted one)?

@@carloscruzpagan and it’s funny because I already have a multiplayer game set up with my friend on PC so it’s not like cross play with PC was impossible before.
This is how dedicated servers work on ARK, Valheim, Astroneer, and loads of games like this.
There are free ones hosted, under "official servers", if you want one with custom rates or modified stuff you'll either have to host it yourself or rent a server and modify it through the website. Many games have been like this for years. As I said though, there are free official servers if you don't feel like putting in the work to host one.
How do i do a server for me and my friends on xbox without having to run a pc?
Set a world to enable co-op, start playing, then invite friends. Then never turn off that Xbox, and reload the game every time it crashes.
The PC you use to run a dedicated server doesn't have to be your own, though, you can rent hardware from a variety of services, as mentioned in the video.

i dont own the game on steam. i own it through game pass on xbox app. so how can i do it through there?
Use the 2nd method and buy a server per month. I’m a charge every player a dollar a month or something.
You can also use the SteamCMD method I believe, follow the instructions on the link in the video description
@@TheBeardGuys I tried the steam cmd method and when I went to go to the files to click on dedicated servers it wasn’t there.
@@TheBeardGuys Lots of people are getting connection timed out when trying to join their dedicated server on xbox. I myself have port forwarded, allowed all rules through firewall, yet still cant join without timing out unless its through my local IP.

Game crashes on a Nitrado dedicated server in less than a minute. Tried streaming and installing

i hate nitrado i used to host with them before, super laggy, switched hosts so glad I did.

I would agree. Been trying all day with 5 ppl and we can only get 3 ppl on consistently with a 16 slot server.

Yeah unfortunately. Crazy how much money this company has made and almost 5-6 months later shit still crashes just like release.
Only way to stop the crashing is to turn multiplayer off and play it solo, which sucks if you want to play the game with friends.

i have followed several different videos showing pretty much the same thing and none of them actually show how to use an xbox to connect to the server. this was of no help!!!!!
you cant search for the server using ip adress, but you are able to find it if you search for the server name on xbox

DC every 5 mins and like 30 fps. Also bad jitter

Hey everyone! I just got a cheap server for Xbox. Max 12 players! Unfortunately my Xbox is over a friend house till Monday. Please check my server out if you can now and give me feedback on performance and what configures I need to tweak.

I increase EXP and Capture Rate so players returning can just level up fast and catch what Pals they like for the new update!
its so laggy i can hardly stand it honestly i dont know how TF anyone can put up with playing like this? does it not lag like it does for me with everyone else? every 30 F*cking seconds the game freezes its annyoing.
