Furthermore, I believe the lines have been blurred between the two sides in terms of brutality. When one side can call out the other side as “terrorists” based on acts it deems barbaric while simultaneously participating in acts just as barbarous, but on a thousand times the scale before and after said acts, I think that is quite disturbing.

The bottom line is the estimated number of casualties remains more or less the same, though these numbers are increasing every day. As someone who has served with the UN in war zones in Asia and Africa, I know how this works.
Your misinformation was indeed addressed here a few days ago. So many of you were willfully twisting facts that the UN spokesperson reiterated on Monday that they were NOT in any way casting doubt on the original figures. Rather they are working to fully identify 10,000 of the deceased due to the scale of the deaths in combination with hospitals being leveled and otherwise struggling to keep electronic database updated.
