You’re right, Matt Pike is our generation’s Lemmy. I’m definitely on board with anything Pike is involved with really. Bluesy, weird, psychedelic, noisy stoner doom with Hawkwind and Thin Lizzy elements you say? Sign me up.
Necrotic Nick- He's become one of my favorite "metal spirit animals" over the years. lol. He's like the living embodiment of riffs and it was cool to hear him dive into some weirded material on this even if it didn't always work. It's a fun album for sure.
If it's a Matt Pike album I'm going to buy it.

Got this when it came out last Friday! Absolutely spectacular! His wife’s guest vocals and Brent’s guitar playing add so much to the collaboration songs!
Necrotic Nick- This album is pretty solid. I'd say it goes off the rails occasionally but I don't think rails were in mind when it came down to this riffy trip.

Necrotic Nick- It's pretty much one of those albums that if you like what Matt Pike does, you'll find a lot of stuff you'l' dig.
Love High On Fire and like Sleep, so I'm gonna track this down, it sounds interesting to say the least lol
Necrotic Nick- It definitely has it's similarities to High on Fire and Sleep but there's a lot of different stuff on this too. It's definitely interesting.
What a great weekend, going to a party with a bunch of rockers n metalheads tnght, def gonna throw this on and the new Corpsegrinder, SMED, Sleepwulf & Buffalo Tombs!
Necrotic Nick- If there's going to be hallucinogens at this party this album might be the right soundtrack for the night. lol
I used to love High on Fire and Sleep, but stopped listening awhile ago. Maybe because I don't smoke weed anymore? Still respect the stoner doom style though.
Necrotic Nick- I quit smoking weed forever ago but I still love the vibe and feel of stoner metal. High on Fire added a thrashy intensity to it which I really dug but Sleep is just pure stoner drone. This album is kinda both wrapped into one with a lot of extra weirdness to it. It's a pretty wild trip.
Gonna have to check this out 🙂

Necrotic Nick- It's a weird album and definitely shows Pike has a lot of other influences that definitely don't come out much in High on Fire or Sleep.
Unpopular opinion, but High on Fire's logo looks like the late Meat Loaf's logo!
