who's here cause the 6x is $399 now?
I bought a 6X Sapphire for $275 that is 1 month old yesterday.
I'll keep this and buy a Fenix 7X sapphire in 3 years.
Garmin's hold up really well so no need to buy brand new.
Thanks matey!
Thanks for the review. It is nice you let us know you buy your own watches as to not be swayed one direction or the other. It would be nice if you could let the still screen shots of the watches stay on the screen a few seconds longer for comparisons sake. Nice review.
Amazon has a crazy discount on the 6x this is why i wanted to know if there was
Any major diferences worth the switch. Thanks for the video
Does the 6 have the new kiteboarding feature the 7 Does with the update on the 6? Thanks
Great video. I can get a 6X Sapphire for $569 Canadian, or a 7X for $1350. I'm finding little to no reason to spend the extra $880. I personally think it's ridiculous how drastic the price difference is between the two. I could buy 2 Fenix 6X Sapphires and still have $235 left over. I'd love to hear someone trying to "sell me" on the 7X over the 6X.
The US doesn't have that bad of a discrepancy, but suffice to say the 6x Pro is still probably far more watch than most will ever use. I've had mine for a year and I keep discovering things I didn't know it could do, like recently discovering I can restore my watchface by disabling manual laps on walking/running activities and pressing the lap button. I don't walk laps, on a track so a lap function was useless for walks.
I don't see a reason to buy a 7 over a 6 unless the flashlight, multiband and touch screen are must haves. Sure it has better HR sensors, but if that's a deciding factor the 6 can link with chest straps and be more accurate than any wrist sensor. I'll buy the 7 when the 8 comes out of my 6 is showing signs of age.
@@AHungryHunky Exactly. I ended up getting the 6X Sapphire, to replace my Apple Watch 5. Very happy with my purchase. I still really like my Apple Watch however. I just love gadgets.
far better mapping and rendering
@@Philminator I did the same replacing my Apple Watch 3 with 6x Saphhire with a great sale price.
Atm i can buy 7x saphire for 700$ or 6x pro Full titan for same price. Any advices?
I didn’t get the 6 solar but love the 6x pro, love the cost too
The bezel is smaller? As a result, the solar ring is bigger and the display results the same.
The 6x pro sapphire solar is now 430 euros new with that price which one should i buy ?
Garmin Fenix 6x pro solar is $399 @ Cabelas/Bass pro shops RN.
Howie Mandel 🤣
Great presentation. Thank you. I've got a Fenix 6x and now I am torn between the FR 955 and the Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar. I don't know if I will go for another X, because it is just a tad too chunky. I'm primarily a runner and so I would say I am leaning towards that 955, and use the 6X on hikes. But my god that 7 sapphire solar titanium is sexy.
I working on a comparison between the two. Will be up next week.
955 is definitely lighter, but it's basically a Fenix 7 with a plastic build. Great watch.
I actually sold my 955 so I could get the Fenix 6x sapphire because the 955 was too small on my large wrists.
But it sounds like the 955 may be right for you
6 pro or 7 x which one can i choose
Well. I own a 6x Pro. The biggest annoying thing is GPS shortened tracking. I always get around 2-400 Meters off (too short) on a 10 k walk/run. Thats why i ordered the 7x. Hopefully it gets better, even if the model has some minor software bugs actually.
Was the 7x more accurate? Did the 7x have the GPS shortened tracking ?
What's are your thoughts on the fenix 6x pro solar vs the instinct 2 solar
I actually haven't tested the Instinct. I'm working on the Forerunner 955 and 255 and then will check out the Instinct.
Thank you very much for this video. I've never had a Garmin watch and for the last couple months I've been watching/researching and narrowed it to this two & the 6 delta solar tactix.
Not the biggest fan of standard smartwatches as they get outdated rather quickly. With Garmin though, it seems they seem to give support & last much longer.
I have the Instinct 2 Solar, I don't see a big difference with this in terms of workout
i was using f6x pro fir 3 years. Now i got f7x its lil better but i have problems with battery drain..its doscharge after 2days..
Did you solve the problem?
@@andrewcline5585 it was something with strava segments..so i dont use them on watch
@@Warmeater Ok thanks
Outside bezle is thinner on 7x
You welcome 😆
I loved my fenix 6x pro for all of the training features. But the gps was absolute trash and i had to take the training stats with a grain of salt and just look for overall improvements based on where i was running.
I remember running a 5k and the distance came out to 2.2 miles. I have 6 mile trail by my house and it reads anywhere from 4 miles to 4.7 depending on time of year/foliage growth with max settings.
That was the whole reason i dropped way too much money on an upgrade.
That's really weird. I've got an Apple Watch ultra and a fénix six pro solar and they are within metres of each each other when I'm doing workouts, you should download an app that tells you which GPS satellites are in your sky the most in your area and change the GPS settings to that
Are you waiting until the perimeter of the watch screen turns green before you start your run? Also adjust settings to sample every second instead of smart mode. Additionally, you can turn on 3D mode which will improve tracking.
I had similar issues and did the above and now my watch is dead accurate unless I'm in a big city surrounded by skyscrapers
@@aiken000 yup did all that. I'd let it soak at green for a good 40 seconds to minute before starting my run. I did every second recording and would try all of the different options like gps, gps and Galileo, gps and glonaz. Same results. I might have just had a faulty model. My epix works great though.
Edit. I also would try it with and without 3D mode.
Garmin is offering $600 off the 6x Pro right now.
Where you see that
I saw it also in Germany... wtf
I am at 1:35, still no useful info, but I know how you gonna call the watches in the rest of the video. Well, thanx, but I am out of here...
