Am I the only one here that doesn't understand the comment about a 10 mm diameter bullet striking the baffles when the intention was to fire a 45 caliber bullet?
When you fire a bullet through a barrel that is too big for it, it will not stabilize. Instead, it will tumble. When it tumbles it strikes the baffles.
I have two .22LR cans and two 30cal cans in time-out. I was looking at the Odessa (for its small diameter) and the 36m, but after seeing your video, it seems like the 46m would be a wiser choice to make. I doubt between the two (36m/46m), you would not see any significant decreases in sound when shooting a 30 cal through either one. I bought the first one (Outback II) about a dozen years ago, and it was such a pain with the paperwork and the wait, I did not buy any more until April of this year. I decided to try the Silencer Shop route and bought another .22 can (Alpha22). The certification to approval time was only 13 days. I bought the two 30cal cans under the single shot trusts, and one has been waiting about 2 months so far, and the other should certify tomorrow. - I would imagine after the Odessa and the 46m, I will be done buying cans for a while. (But we know suppressors are like tattoos - everyone always says that the next one they get will be their last.....🤣🤣 Thanks for the video.

Thanks brotha, very informative. Was trying to order my first and struggling on what to get given the low to no stock on silencershop. Luckily they had this one, what is needed to fit this on 1/2x28 direct?
That’s an amazing suppressor I didn’t even know it existed that’s so cool that you can make an A.R. 15 hearing safe to where you don’t have to wear your hearing protection
Do you direct mount to a 22 LR pistol? A Ruger Mark 4 to be exact. I'm still not sold on putting 22 ammo through the 46m but i guess...maybe... a ultrasonic cleaner could clean it up?
You can also get tiny metal rods that you can put in the suppressor with water and dish soap, seal it up and put it on a tumbler wheel. The rods and soap and water will break up the crap in the suppressor and leave it sparkling clean. Must do it for a few hours though. An ultrasonic cleaner would probably do the trick also, if done for long enough.
Great video! Looks like your adapters are mostly all custom made from a machine shop, How did you go about that? I want to thread it primarily on to 5/8x24 308 barrel, and optionally onto a 1/2x28 9mm barrel and .578x28 10mm barrel. Trying to figure all the adapters and caps I need for these 3 configurations and its been a bit confusing.

Were any of the ammo you used subsonic? Or were they all standard to their caliber and/or supersonic? ***Edit - nevermind, you mentioned the 300 and 308 were subsonic*** Could you share more info on that thread adapter? Love the duct tape method! :)
You need the pistol spring on the Glock and most other semi autos, due to the upward tilt of the barrel as the slide goes to the rear. If not you’d hit the bottom of the baffles. You’d be fine on a Beretta 92 series tho.
It's actually to let the slide cycle. You can shoot fine without it but your semi-auto probably won't cycle as you can't get enough backwards motion to quickly move that massive supressor back. The piston let's the slide pull back something a lot lighter than the whole supressor. Silencerco explains it here: czcams.com/video/LZ__Uq6dlJY/video.html and show what happens without piston; spoiler, won't eject casing and strip new one.
Silencerco advises against shooting non jacketed lead bullets, like 22lr through any of their sealed rifle cans, due to lead build up that will be difficult to get out. Just fyi.
Can you explain the baffle strike you shot a 10 mm which is 0.40 through that can which is 0.46 not a 45 you should not have had any issues with tumbling and with a 10 mm you should have had some damage.
Whether or not I should have issues with a 10mm tumbling, I did and the bullest clogged the hole so I could no longer shoot out of it. I had to take a ram rod to get the lead out of the suppressor, and upon a thorough inspection, there was not even a scratch on the baffles... Baffling I know :-)
I think what he’s saying is he shot 10mm out of a .45 pistol which let the round tumble when coming out of the barrel causing it to strike the baffles. So the suppressor wasn’t the issue it was the wrong ammo for the pistol that caused it.
I bought this suppressor 2 days ago thru Silencerco and it cost me 600. I have 2 Sandman S, 1 Primal and 1 Omega 300... haven't shot it yet. The main reason I bought it was because of its versatility, just like my Primal. The other reason which is huge, is because I heard the wait times are shorter. Although I found out it's shorter for those without a trust. My buddy bought 2 suppressors a month apart and he has both already. The 2nd one, he was approved in 4 days(he has no trust). I was told since I have a trust it will take around 6 months. My theory is, the AFT wants to encourage people to get it without a trust so that they can't legally be passed down after the owners death. So they incentivize the trust-less purchase.
