I just ordered one today. My first silencer. Yay! I don't have an ultrasonic cleaner. I guess I will buy one if need be but hopefully I can find something else as a different method that works well

I use a large ziplock freezer bag. Put simple green in the bag with the suppressor and parts. Fill unit up with hot water and place bag in the water. This process did an amazing job cleaning my silencerco hybrid 46m. I ran the ultrasonic cleaner for two cycles of 15 minutes each. I have the 15 L Creworks. Heat setting on it works great.

Temp is important in cleaning reaction time. For every 10 degree increase in temp, you double the physical chemical reaction. This is proven for all chemical reactions.

I also recommend standing the can upright instead of on its side. Because of how the sound waves moves the fluid itself inside the cleaner.

I use hoppes numner 9 and charcoal lighter fluid for cleaning solution and i leave it in for a couple of hours. That will get that metal shiny on the inside.

Hey Anthony, am new to cleaning supressors. Can you share your recipe with the hoppes number 9 and charcoal lighter fluid for cleaning solution ratio and tenique you use?

@RickHunter811 you can also use wd40 but it's just a filler. Because I don't have a lot of hoppes 9 when I make this cleaning solution. I use one. Quart size bottle of hoppes 9 and I have a gallon of wd40 I bought from harbor freight. An I just add lots of wd40 till it's enough to submerge all of the gun parts. It's it's an unserviceable suppressor like the hybrid in the video. I do recommend maybe some kind of bristle brush that spirals to fit in suppressor. But I submerge the unserviceable suppressor in the cleaning solution I mentioned previously. And it has to be in there for a couple hours to be honest. But you won't be able to remove the lead fouling. I also have an otter creek titanium 22 suppressor for my 22's I clean in my ultra sonic cleaner

@@RickHunter811you can use the charcoal lighter fluid instead of the wd40 it works well also. I also turn on the heating element when it's in the ultra sonic cleaner. The fluids will not ignite from being heated. Unless you add a spark or something it will not ignite on its own from being heated by the cleaner

How did u get the baffle strike?

I’m still not sure. SICO didn’t even offer an explanation either which is frustrating…. I’d like to know for sure so it doesn’t happen again. lol
The only thing I can figure out is maybe the Neilson device 🤷🏼‍♂️?? I’d ran this on 6ARC, 5.56, .300blk, .458socom and .22LR with no issues but that 9mm…. Both barrels checked out good with the bore alignment rod and the Neilson Device is the only variable that was different.

I was under the impression it was a sealed can and it couldnt be cleaned like so

    • @kentuckyrangetime

The baffles are welded in and can’t be removed but the ends are both open to take different adaptors and end caps with different bore openings

Why are you getting Baffle strikes? I have an Omega 36M & I haven't had that happen.

    • @kentuckyrangetime

Honestly, I’m not real sure. Silencerco wants me to send it back so they can evaluate it though so I guess I’ll have to wait on them to tell me.
I’ve tried 2 different threaded barrels and got strikes with both.
