      that reminded me of when i once flew into MSY (new orleans) at midnight from miami, which takes you right across the water. and all i saw was tiny lights coming from the black water, and the captain was all "we're landing in 2 minutes!!!" i was like landing where? the gulf of mexico????????

    where is the light coming from that's illuminating the engine?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  Před 2 lety

      Aircraft have lights built into their fuselages that can illuminate the engine and wing. This is done so the crew can see the areas better at night, especially if they've flown through winter weather. It allows them to see if there is any ice build up. They're flush with the fuselage, so they're often easy to miss.

    Why show old flights??

    • @sla31
      @sla31  Před 4 lety +9

      I'm not sure I get what you mean. Old flight? Are you thinking I've posted this before? Or are you considering a flight in February as old? Either way, I've never posted this flight before. It's brand new to the channel, and second, I upload new videos everyday. Seven days per week. This requires a large travel commitment on my part. I have to fly a lot to make sure I can film enough content to make sure I have enough footage to upload videos 7-10 times a week. So, inevitably it means I end up with a slight backlog of footage. So, my content is typically a few months behind when I actually filmed it. One of the positives to this? I never had to stop uploading footage during this pandemic. I didn't fly for over 100 days, and I still have enough new footage to upload 7-10 videos per week. If I didn't have a delay in footage, I would've run out of footage during that time.
