    This series of videos represent a totally professional presentation of real world travel, photography and aviation from genuine enthusiasts who wish to volunteer what they enjoy to a global audience. Congratulations for total quality "what you see is what you get" footage. You tell it for "what it is", nothing more and nothing less. If I was much younger, I would seek to join your dedicated team. But that cannot possibly be, so thank you for bringing me back to your world. Greetings from the Gold Coast, Australia.

      I appreciate that my friend. More than you probably know! And it's just me. No team here. Everything you see on this channel is done by me, myself, and I. So, thank you for the appreciation and kind words. You embodied perfectly what I try to present with my uploads. It's always nice to see my videos appreciated for that I intend them to be!

      @@thecaynuck4694 Funny that! Personally I thought the v2500 was boring as! It just had a ring-ring-ring noise to it. I feel that the cruise noise of the Neo is less, but the spooling sounds way better!

    Great video as always. I think its time you start expanding your horizons. We've seen a lot of SWA and American and a ton of 717s, 737s and Airbus narrow bodiesl.... what do you think about doing some 747-8 (Lufthansa or Korean), Some Delta 767s or A330s, or some A350s with foreign carriers??? I know that be expensive with your full flight platform. Just an idea. Love your channel either way!!

    • @sla31
      @sla31  Před 3 lety +2

      Thanks my friend. Remember, I do everything on this channel on my own time (in addition to a full time job) and with my own money. I try to hit wide bodies as often as possible. I just took an American 787-9, I'm scheduled on two Hawaiian A330-200's, an American 777-200, and a Delta A330-200 in the next few weeks. International is hard though, despite Covid. First, those flights are typically hard to find good deals on, and second I don't typically have enough time off to do them. Flying on long haul international flights typically requires at least 4 days. That's more time than I have off every week. For example. If I wanted to do a trip on Emirates, I'd have to fly from TUL or MCI to DFW, and then DFW to DXB. I wouldn't even arrive until 7:45pm the day after I left. So, I've already come to the end of the second day I have off. Then because of reduced schedules, I'd have to wait 24 hours for the return, and I wouldn't be back until 8:00pm 4 days after I left. I have a decent schedule at my day job, but not one that allows me 4 days off every week. On top of that you're talking about over $2,000 for that trip, and only 4 flights. At $500 per flight, I'd spend more on those 4 flights than I could on probably 15 or more domestic flights. So, it's not that I don't want to have that type of stuff on the channel, but it's expensive (with very little actual content filmed), and it's very time consuming. Time I don't really have. So, I have to do the best with what I can find domestically most of the time.

      @@sla31 I can actually hear the engines as you're descending and approaching Phoenix. I love those multi-note jet whistles!!! I'm also so glad you like the Airbus planes over the Boeing. I think Boeing has gotten a bit sloppy over the last few years, and it's certainly demonstrated some questionable practices, and I'm so disappointed with them. I can also say that my Nephew feels the same way, because he worked with them when they were building the B787-8. On a better note, I hope you get lots of frequent flyer miles, so you don't have to pay so much for all these trips. You do such a great job, and I absolutely love this channel. It'd be so great to fly with you one day. I just got a new 2020 SE IPhone from Apple, and it has stereo recording, and it sounds quite good. I still love the By717, and I'll miss it.

      As far as passenger comfort is concerned, I have long favored almost any Airbus aircraft over anything Boeing. As an aviation enthusiast, I’ll fly on anything. But... If I was just a regular person booking flights because I needed to get from point A to point B, 9 times out of 10 I would select the Airbus aircraft. And that includes the NEO versus the Max.

    My question is....if anyone can answer this would be appreciated. How can the engines and plane withstand an altitude of 31-39 thousand feet? How can the engines breathe at that altitude. And with such cold temps?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  Před 3 lety +1

      Well, there's a lot of complex things involved in how an airplane works. But where the engines are concerned. The air is compressed before it's mixed with the fuel. This means they can work even at altitudes with very little oxygen. A lot like a turbo charger on a car. The compressor on a jet engine is made with many blades attached to a shaft. The blades spin at high speed and compress the air. The compressed air is then sprayed with fuel and an electric spark lights the mixture. The burning gases expand and blast out through the nozzle, at the back of the engine.

She was given one by an employee. As long as you have one, you should be fine. It's when you board your flight you have to pull it above the nose and on the plane. For me, mid air I'll put it below and during takeoff and landing. You can't expect me to keep my nose covered for a 5 hour flight lol.

I may be wrong, but I've also noticed that they have been known to take too many risks when flying through very rough weather, and they've been heavily criticized for it, and I would whole-heartedly agree. They really got bad after they acquired all those U.S. Airways pilots and flight attendants. I've always been a Delta fan.
