Has anyone else noticed in the the memory of Rauru holding wiping out the moldugas that when the queen encouraged Zelda to assist him she was surprised to see that Zelda emitted much more energy than even her all while Zelda looked clumsy doing it, implying that Zelda has much more power within her?

I’d love to hear the stories behind Farosh, Dinraal, and Naydra. We know anyone of any motive and presumably species can become a dragon, so were they heroes? Villains? Did they know what they were signing up for when they became dragons? Did they even KNOW each other when they became dragons, did they even become dragons at around the same time? So many questions, it’d be relatively inconsequential to answer them, but it’d be so cool to know

I think they three dragons are the Golden Goddesses, and when Ocarina of Time said the point the Golden Goddesses left Hyrule is where the Triforce was created was when the Golden Goddesses swallowed their Secret Stones to become dragons, leaving behind the goddess Hylia, who passed her Light Force to Rauru, and was later reincarnated as Zelda in Skyward Sword.

I had the same thoughts a few days back. The three elemental dragons having names similar to the goddesses are no coincidence. It's very likely that Din, Nayru and Farore were Zonai (and thus thought of as gods) who helped "create" (establish) Hyrule. Then they left the Triforce behind when they disappeared into the sky. All this came up when I remembered that the Triforce is the ancient Japanese symbol "mitsuuroko" which means "three scales." Dragons' scales?

I think it's just associated with holy power so the symbol popped up, I'm of the insane mind we are getting a third game since kohga seems to possibly be alive yet he just team rockets away in the last fight, and if you do all shrines you get a skin showing a prior hero was a zonai/dragon person and what way to end a trilogoy then with the trifecta object itself, plus given the nature of the triforce it would be weird to basically inject a massive set of 3 triangles into your heir throughout generations to seal ganondorf when you could just use the triforce to destroy ganondorf completely, I feel like the zonai took their creation back after seeing the harm evil beings could do with even 1 piece of it, and sealed it in their domain/sacred realm.

Something to add to this theory is that if you talk to the goddess statues at the springs of power, wisdom, and courage, they call the dragons "golden spirits" even though they are clearly not golden.
Also as a side note, if these dragons are golden spirits then they can also have a connection with the light spirits in Twilight Princess (where that are actually golden spirits). In TP, when the light spirits are summoned from their springs (which requires the use of light tears) the same water splash animation occurs similar to that of the dragon memories in TOTK.

    • @1107Archangel

additionally they also refer to the dragons specifically as she's, I kinda believe the dragons are the actual goddesses and the goddesses where just ancient zonai, as I believe hylia was also a zonai, as it explains why zelda her reincarnation in skyward has the only set of pointed ears and demise does mention she looked nothing like her original divine form, I think they just appeared as gods due to technology and the powers they held, as in totk the water temple bears nayru's mark on the elephant statues eyes at the boss rooms entrance and is credited as the source of all the water, Nayru in the legend made all the water in hyrule and it is zonai architecture, much like I believe the ancient goron city more then likely helped shape the land that now covers what we know as the depths where dinrall, or Din who created the earth flies around, another thing that I think gives a bit of evidence towards this is all 3 "zonai" dragons go into the depths while Zelda as a dragon does not, meaning they must have been familiar with the land below hyrule, and tho they lost most of there sense of self, they still roam the places that held the most sentiment to them.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed this about the dragons. idk if I agree with the stones being the triforce, as I think Zelda has had it inside her all this time and didn't know it, BUT there's no way the 3 dragons aren't Zonai. dragon-Zelda's ears are different from the other 3, who are much more similar to Rauru's giant ears. my personal theory is this: the springs already existed, as monuments to the 3 goddesses, and where places of worship. and places of worship tend to have some form of shrine maiden to take care of them. I think the 3 armor sets were garb worn by those who served their respective springs, and the head maidens (as the statues refer to all 3 as explicitly female) were the ones to swallow their stones in order to devote themselves entirely to their duty, and in doing so, were named after the goddess they served.

I don’t think the dragons were zonai. It’s stated in game that they’re spirits, so in my mind they were never dragonified. In my mind the three dragons are just forms that the spirits of the golden goddesses take.

    • @Moon-Vixen
      @Moon-Vixen Před 11 měsíci +1

@@mrbiscuits001 you'll have to give more to go on than that, bc everything in game says otherwise.
in the memories, we're shown they know that eating a secret stone will turn you into a dragon, because history told them so. how you lose yourself to become an immortal dragon, and that is why it's forbidden. if it's happened in order to become historical knowledge, then the resulting dragon/s exist, and it's far more logical to say this is an origin story for them than it is to say these 3 dragons are entirely unrelated (even though the two we see eat stones become almost identical to the original 3, showing this is exactly the kind of dragon one becomes after eating a stone, unlike say, the gleeok type of dragon) and the ones from history were killed before the events of botw or something and are just entirely unseen. it also doesn't make sense from a narrative perspective. the entire main themes of this game is dragons, eating stones to become dragons, and Hyrule's history as we know it isn't actually accurate. why make dragons and becoming a dragon a central part of the entire game's plot and end climax if it *isn't* trying to say the 3 others came into being in the same way?
as well, the zonai we see and the 3 dragons share a lot of traits. the white hair with colored undertones is identical to the two zonai we see, as well as their large floppy ears and "goat like" faces, which the designers specified was their intent when designing the dragons. meanwhile both Zelda and Ganon's have very obviously different features, such as the shorter ears and differently shaped snouts, as well as fully colored hair. all markers to show the way one's original biology affects how the resulting dragon appears.
I think it also doesn't make sense to say they're the 3 all powerful golden goddesses who created the whole world and everything in it, are now *servants* of the 3 springs that represent the pieces of the small gift of their power that they left behind, and is represented by a statue of the lesser goddess also left behind to protect it? that just doesn't make any sense ether.
whatever they once were, they're spirits now because they've dedicated themselves as servants to the spring and are no longer "human", and no one has the power to turn them back as no one remembers their original form. it makes far more sense for them to have once been zonai priestesses (all are referred to as explicitly female), like Sonia once was a priestess, who wished to forever serve their springs, who ate the 3 stones (that would then make them an even 10 instead of an odd 7) and were named after the goddesses representing each spring to honor their dedication of giving up both their lives and deaths for eternal servitude.
but if you have more evidence to the contrary, I am absolutely all ears.

This is a great theory! It really goes in depth on how the secret stones resemble the triforce in many ways, because they may be the triforce broken down. There is one thing that I thought of though, and it’s that maybe the 3 dragons, Naydra, Farosh and Dinraal, we’re the golden goddesses Nayru, Farore and Din respectively, who became dragons not by swallowing secret stones, but by swallowing the piece of the triforce that comes from them. That’s why they seem so much more powerful than Zelda in her light dragon form, and the secret stones are sort of downscaled versions of the triforce, except that it just augments the dormant power within its wielder instead of giving the wielder the selected power from its piece of the triforce. If the secret stones really are meant to be weaker versions of the triforce, then just how powerful were the golden golden goddesses when they turned into dragons? That’s terrifying to think about. Your theories are so much fun to watch, dude! Keep up the good work!

    • @1107Archangel
      @1107Archangel Před 11 měsíci +1

I think the same the goddesses became the dragons, tho I think they weren't really "gods" just zonai that appeared as gods due to powers and technology to be gods, like the water temple generates infinite water has zonai architecture and bears nayru's symbol on it and she was in legend the creator of the waters of hyrule, I think people back then just saw them as gods since humans hadn't advanced very far, we see in skyward the robots in lanayru seem to run on the same energy of totk's zonai machines so even back then their tech was insane to what humans could do. Tho i do think they just ate a stone to become immortal and hide the triforce, as I don't think the portals they used to go through in botw are there becuz some weird forcefield hid the sky islands I think that was just them returning to the sacred realm. But with everything demon king related coming to a head this cycle they stayed circling the depths and hyrule watching over the events unfolding more carefully then when it was just his leaking power that built up every few centuries, my guess is its possible if we failed and ganon ran rampant they would use the triforce as almost a reset switch much like I think they did for the depths and they used zonait to save the structures they needed sending it into the sky, like the water temple to create new water on this fresh slate of hyrule, also why there machines virtually live forever continuing building and preparing zonait devices.

The big hole in that theory is obviously that the Triforce has existed throughout Hyrule's history and was the focal point in the events surrounding Ocarina of Time. My theory is that these Secret Stones are called that due to the fact that they replicated the Triforce's power so well. Like how the Shikah can replicate light arrows, the Secret Stones replicate the Triforce's power enhancement.

  • @jnrosenb
    @jnrosenb Před 11 měsíci +1

Regarding the second theory, I don't think the tears are the triforce. The tears act as a enhancement of an individual's powers. Which means, they are all the same. this is why sonia's stone was usable by ganondorf, and rauru's was used later on by zelda. And while for zelda it granted time powers, for rauru it was light (and same for sonia with time vs ganondorf with darkness). The triforce has never been shown to have this effect. The power triforce does not grant the same power as the courage or the wisdom one. Also, for the triforce, putting it all together makes it more powerful (since the goal is always to complete it). I would think that, if the tears are the triforce, then Ganondorf would have felt compelled to actually gather the tears, instead of leaving them hidden in the dungeon. He was not trying to get them, instead he was content with impeding the champions to reach them.

Well Minish cap is part of the lore so anything zelda uses could be said to be the "light Force" Vaati was after.
Her Time manipulating powers only came with Ocarina of time, they were not present before OOT released.
The bright light leaving Ganondorf's body is most likely the mystery stone he swallowed to become a dragon.
My personal theory is that BOTW and TOTK play in the adult timeline entirely. The newly found Hyrule of Rauru is the resurface land of Hyrule after the flood.
Link Zelda and Ganondorf lost the triforce as it was used in WW by the king of Hyrule.
The king wanted the new land to be "Your land" instead of Hyrule.
the Rito are also only available in WW and the open world titles.
Ganondorf was most likely revived by Twinrova/Vaati/Ghirahim pick your poison.
here is why I doubt ToTK explains the events after SS
    >We know for a fact at least 1 of the timelines found it's conclusion due to the places in Hyrule.
    >if Totk's Ganondorf was sealed shortly after SS it would mean that a second ganondorf was hidden under Hyrule castle all along which would break the story somehow I think especially since Vaati had the entirety of hyrule searched in the minish cap
I also like to believe the mystery stones are just more artifacts like Midna's crown

    A little bit Off-topic but:
-When Zelda turned into a dragon to restore the Master Sword, didn't she essentially create a time paradox? Let's say that from her birth until the events of BOTW still play out, at one point there would have been 2 Zeldas existing up until TOTK begins. 🤔 While it doesn't seem to adversely affect the world or anything, it just seems kinda overlooked.
-The stone which Zelda received that helped her return to the past was from Rauru's hand. I believe it's the same one she swallowed too. So 2 of the same stone existed at one point in the past. She technically wasn't a Sage of Time until Sonia died. Also, Sonia's stone was always with Ganon and it's that the one he swallowed.
-When Link sent the Master Sword back in time, at some point there would have been 2 existing - one on Zelda dragon's head and the other in Korok forest.
-Lastly, I'm very much interested in the pre-BotW timeline (that Zelda didn't change) and what the Sages did if they were never given her request to help Link. (which may be the reason why the 4 BotW champions never became sages in the first place perhaps?)

The springs predate hyrule. The spring of courage is the remains of the earth spring. The spring of power is the remains of the Skyview spring.

I give this video an A+, for being extra ABSURD!
I am not a fan of the whole concept of "Anything in the past Zelda games could simply be exaggerated legends, so everything you did in those games did or did not happen, has meaning or has no meaning." That is like saying most of Wind Waker did not happen, as it was all exaggerated by the generations that retold the story of the Hero of Winds again and again. Oh, is that your favorite game? Oops, I guess most of it did not actually happen. Wind Waker being one of my favorites as well, hearing that would bum me out.
Also, as for the dragons, we can easily tell that they were of the Zonai people by their ears and scaly faces. The only exception is the Light Dragon who has smaller ears and hair growing from its face, rather than long ears and a scaly face. In fact, that is one of my main reasons for believing the Zonai to be descended from the true dragons, which are considered deities, and why the secret stones that were gifted to them turn them into immortal dragons.
The concept of the secret stones being reformed pieces of the triforce is interesting, but it has no evidence to make it worthy of being a theory. I do not count the triforce pattern on clothing, as well as Ganondorf wanting one for himself, as being enough to even consider the secret stones being the triforce. The triforce is significant to all people in Hyrule, so it often appears on peoples clothing, equipment, etc. And the secret stones are powerful artifacts, so of course the power hungry and genocidal tyrant Ganondorf would kill to have one.

The problem with this theory is that if the dragons have been around for so long, them the triforce in most of the older Zelda games is incomplete.
I prefer the idea that the secret stones were forged with the power of the triforce but are not the triforce. They just amplify what the users already have.
Ganondorf is shown to have his red powers even before getting the secret stone.
So I believe that the LOZ trio already have their respective pieces of the triforce inside them but cannot fully use them or consider it their own power instead of something extra.
This also helps explain why Link is simply superhuman in these games and other previous games

The three goddesses came down to the surface of Hyrule and created the Triforce upon their departure-but if they’re still mortal beings, what if they were present for the deconstruction of the Triforce and consumed their pieces of it, becoming the three dragons we know as having their names?

As soon as I saw the memory of Draconification, which i think was like my third and i did them pretty early, I knew that the three goddess dragons were 100% Zonai. As a side note I also realized while watching this that I think the energy leaving ganon was the sacred stone disappearing and going to the past to complete the circle letting zelda acquire it. Ownership goes Sonia-Ganon-Zelda Zelda just gets it right before she goes to before it got stolen in the first place. But I gots a theory on the three Dragons:
In fact, idk how it fits timeline wise but at this point im just trying to separate that entirely, it feels more and more like a rebooted timeline too me and I dont blame them cause it was obvious they had only released an official timeline because we all obsessed over connecting things. Some of them were loosely connected but it wasnt their intention to fill out a grand timeline of games. But I digress, I have a theory based on some dialogue you get about the Zonai.
They had great power and were considered gods. Okay, they probably had innate powers and had secret stones that amplified them. In fact, those powers are likely Lightning, Fire, Water/Ice. Din Nayru and Farore were Zonai with such powers/stones. They together, in their time, used the sacred power to enhance their abilities even further and provide shelter to a number of prehistoric races that had begun sprouting out by carving out hyrule from the rest of its continent, and providing specific ecosystems for them to thrive in.
Zonai as a greater society can go a few ways, They could possibly have seen the other races as inferior and sought to treat them as pests/beasts, They could have been a dying race and simply died out and a small few were survivors, They could be from the moon (gravity and sky stuff, also popular Japanese myth cant remember the name tho rabits on the moon) and simply went back home leaving this world for the new races, the world itself could have been dying and only a handful of zonai roamed the skies somewhere else on the planet and the three dragons shaped Hyrule to save some of it who knows. But whatever the case, after Carving out this land and saving these races, they swallowed their stones and became the dragons to watch over the land/maybe even protect the triforce. The thoughts on the sort of religious clothing in this makes me think they had followers for a time before deciding to swallow the stones. It is possible they are the reason that Draconification is so hush hush with the zonai too, they may have started that.
My personal favorite hope is Vaati was a Zonai and was the cause of whatever drove the others away from the land/their home, and if we get a third theyll find Vaati like entombed somewhere in the depths waiting for Sacred Power to awaken and we get a triforce centric game to cap a trilogy. Makes me think if that ends up being the case we could even theorhetically get the minish (what if THEY made the statues and those are like minish cities we just cant see them) but also we may have Vaati trying to sacrifice the dragons to get their sacred power/collect sacred stones if this theory is more correct etc. I think adding the minish would actually be a really good idea too, they originally wanted to have them in BoTW but couldnt figure it out, so maybe that will be the expansion to the world in the next one, easy to excuse a loadscreen when youre shrinking down to itty bitty size and would allow them to make big cities full of stuff to find without having to make the greater map bigger.

I am more inclined to believe the triforce itself has become a forgotten relic to Hyrule by the time Breath of the Wild and the 10,000 year calamity before took place. In other games, such as Smash Bros, the triforce can be seen on Link and Zelda so perhaps that is a representation of the light force being used to cast out darkness. I do have a theory of my own, what if Naydra, Daaraal, and Farosh swallowed them and became eternal dragons? The secret stones when swallowed create them, maybe the triforce pieces were wished to reside in the individuals that would become these dragons but due to being immortal, perhaps even a triforce wish itself keeping them in the embodiment of these spirits just so Hyrule can flourish.
In terms of Ganondorf and how he plays into it, this is the first time we saw Ganondorf not obsessed with the power the artifact could grant him and instead took to the secret stones. Ganondorf in general would find a way to get them if it was possible, but maybe the triforce became part of some living entity, whether dragons or the princesses of the hyrulian royal family, I am convinced of that much at least. Plus, Ganondorf is a weird part of the story given he was sealed but didn't seem to have a previous vendetta before Rauru against Hyrule. However, to make it interesting, the 'sealing power' Zelda has, perhaps the hyrulean royal family learned to tap into the relic from wherever or it could be lost to time, there isnt a definitive placement.

This actually connects to theories I made about the game after seeing the memories.
    1) As you speculated in the video, the dragons in BotW and TotK were not always dragons. They were Zonai or some other mortal beings that had undergone the draconification process.
    2) I thought that, while more powerful, the Triforce was made of the same material as the secret stones. I wouldn't have thought that the secret stones(which I wish were called sacred stones instead) were shards of the Triforce itself similar to the shards you would have to collect in Wind Waker.
    3) The Golden Goddesses of legend were never deities, but rather ancient Zonai. In one memory, I believe it was either Ganondorf or Raaru who said that the Zonai in the past were mistaken for gods.

If you think the three golden goddesses are the three dragons wouldn't that make them zonai? Bc the ears are long, the fur, and the horns remind me of zonai. Unless they just took the form of dragons that could also mean no swallowing a tear. They are goddesses and they created the triforce I think its very unlikely for them to swallow a tear. They took form of dragons and their spirits live inside those dragons. The triforce was present in botw and Zelda used it to defeat clamity ganon. When Zelda is healing the master sword in one of the memories could that be the triforce? Her scared power? It could be the tear, but tears don't grant control. I don't think it would be as powerful enough to heal the master sword...we also don't see Zelda useing it anywhere else so that could also not be possible.

Its interesting how much emphasis TotK has focused on the transmutation of beings after swallowing things. I mean from both Zelda and Ganon being the two biggest examples of transmutating to mindless 'divine' creatures from swallowing the power of their own respective secret stones- we also have the hints of the three main dragons themselves having been mortals at one point; and likely the origin examples that Mineru references as to why swallowing secret stone is expressly forbidden.
But aside from the big examples, we also have the Kilton side quest with him swallowing all of the bubbl gems, and while intitially gaining certain powers to detect other Bubbl frogs, he eventually transmutates into a blupee as a result of swallowing the gems
Maybe you could even argue that the Deku Tree being corrupted and all the forest being screwed up, as a result of phantom ganon having been 'swallowed' by him (because the phantom is within the trees naval at the bottom of a chasm)
    It's the power of swallowing.

    • who did the Skyward Hero fight: Demise's spirit or the actual divine King of Demons?
    • who precedes whom: Ganondorf or Demise?
    • is the Imprisoned another form of Ganon or Demise?

The dragon eyes don't look like the ones from Zelda and Ganon. I don't think this theory holds up because of that

I think Zelda had all 3 Triforces in these games. Because we definitely see them being projected out of her hand to destroy calamity Ganon. But we never see Link or Ganondorf with them. All the other games show the symbols with only one triangle lit up signifying the one Triforce they possess. But this one it was only Zeld that had it. Zelda possesses all 3 in botw and totk.

I don’t think that the Secret Stones are fragments of the Triforce, because I believe this theory falls apart when Zelda uses its power without a secret stone in her hand. I believe Zelda has the entire Triforce, because she inherits Wisdom from Sonia, Power from Rauru, and Courage on her own when she fights Calamity Ganon while trying to save Link.

Maybe the Triforce of Wisdom is whole and complete and still in the Royal Bloodline, but they gave it a different name for extra safety, and the Triforces of Power and Courage are the ones split into the Stones. 10 goes more easily into 2 than it does 3 afterall.

I interpreted the light that comes from Links hand as he, Rauru and Sonia turn Zelda back, was not the triforce but everytime a teardrop memory was "picked up", his hand began to drip and it seemed to me that what happened there, was that Link absorbed the memory, as it is a part of Zeldas soul which he then, once completed, transfers back into Dragon-Zelda.
To support this idea, these tears got scattered immediatly after Zelda transformed, maybe the loss of their soul and self that is described when one turns into a dragon is... what happened with the tears and which is why they gave Link insight to experiences Zelda made and stuff.

2:48 i thought that the light was coming from his secret stone because link destroyed it

Bad theory, dividing 3 things into 10. Ganon only doesnt go after the triforce because literally no one knows wtf it even is. He grabs the secret stone because its a tangible object he can see, not the rumour of a myth about a legend long lost to time.

I had a weird thought that if link somehow got a hold of one of the tears, he would turn into an alternate Version of the Fierce deity.
