- This week we travel to the Noosa Hinterland in Queensland, Australia to visit an inspiring family who have constructed an amazing place to call home. Situated on 32 acres and with plenty of space for gardens and animals, this family is living the tiny house homestead dream!
Beautifully constructed with family life in mind, this tiny house is a real stunner! Modern farm-house inspired, this home is a brilliant combination of functionality and artistic flare.
In addition to their tiny home, Tom and Mieke have also constructed additional structures to help expand the home, including a separate cabin / playroom, an outdoor bathhouse, laundry and more.

@@davehernandez7864 No, they're small so affordable, and living minimally, but having an extra large deck is cheap and adds a lot more outdoor living space that makes the home seem much bigger than it is.

Many tinies are intended to move at some point. And I’ve actually seen just as many with large decks, roofed and often equal to the house size.
Apart from their beautiful tiny home,
I can't help but notice how they look at their partner whenever one of them is speaking. It shows how much they value each other's thoughts and opinions. It's refreshing to watch.

Lots of indoor/outdoor space, kitchen prep, and a deck that would compete with with a 2k sq m house in a luxury development. A truly charming family with a charming home to match.

Modular approach to building a home doesn't work in all climates, but in stunningly beautiful Queensland it's a fantastic approach! That deck is the best I've seen in a long time, and that includes the one I recently built myself. I halfway expected Mieke to have a Dutch accent 😊. Great home, great tour. Thanks!
I don't often complement tiny home designs because I feel the sacrifices are too great. However, I have to admit this one is so good I could actually see myself living there and being satisfied. I'd use the detached bonus room as my tv/media room and probably would have made it a tad larger. For me, the kitchen layout and interior stairs/walkway are what makes this floorplan work. You have safe, easy to traverse stairs and although you give up some width downstairs, I think it's a good trade off.
These people do not mess around with these tiny homes that they build. Really beautiful and amazing houses.

They hot the nail on the head with choosing their priorities, Family and Time over the big house and chasing 'The Dream'... I wished deeply that I would of thought about this 30 years ago. Growing up I was shipped around like luggage between my parents who were divorced. Whenever my mother got a new man I was in a plane to my grandparents so for me I was so desperate to have the 'ideal home' for my children. What they're doing is truly the Dream.
I am continually amazed by the lifestyle choices and beautiful tiny homes and havens and landscapes that people are creating. This is just lovely with that huge outdoor living space!
So beautiful ! Perfect place, perfect home, perfect family, perfect pets ......nobody could need or ask for more ! Everything from the chickens to the fig tree is a dream come true !

This is one of the best! Beautiful deck, home design, land and space, and then having another to AirBnB for income is icing on the cake! The only problem is that now I have a taste for an Espresso Martini with none of the ingredients at hand!

The deck is beautiful, love it and the other tiny house for Air BnB is great idea and also beautiful. Lovely land and I like that they build it open space around all,that beautiful 32 acre land. Sooo perfect. Not too big, not too small. So neat, not cluttery, room for everything, no piles of exposed junk. Perfect. Very tasteful, too.
So many beautiful tiny homes, but this is the most beautiful tiny home I think I’ve ever seen.
This couple has nailed the outdoor space. Like many I can no longer tolerate hours in the sun. This outdoor space for reading, snoozing and dining is perfect.
It sits on the land well, not taking away from the space but definitely solid and sits well.
Love the bartender window and the pull down sheltering on the deck. They made great choices for the outdoor furniture. Looks so easy to take care of and comfortable.

Really love this tiny home the style is so beautiful and love those connecting lofts, I am older and stairs are not my favorite but I might could do this. I also really love that deck and those pull down blinds it would be great when it gets colder and rainy to still be able to go out and chill and eat and everything. Airbnb 4 mo income is gr8. Being landlords is anything but passive. Get plenny cleaning & maintenance & marketing, bookkeeping, prep & booking guests, etc. An example was larger 🧺 room. Property management is not 4 da faint of heart. 😜

Everytime I think I've seen my favorite, another comes along and sweeps me away! This home is HOME! It's so cozy and what a wonderful place to raise a little one! I love all of the special touches like the archways and the concrete sink, the bathroom, and let's not forget that wonderful outdoor bathtub! Sweet perfection in my eyes!

This house is BEAUTIFUL.
This is a really beautiful home in what looks like a really beautiful place. It already feels spacious, but the gorgeous outdoor room and the separate space/guest room honestly puts it over the top. I would love to have a place like this, and can I just say, how stunning is that tree?
