Butch saying he created our childhoods is such an absurd notion. someone is a child until they're 10 or 11 years old (then they're teenagers), so basically, there's around a decade worth of life, with hundreds of animes like FoP or DP being aired in this huge time gap, but then, BUTCH is the one who made a difference in that time, forget Dexter, Powerpuff Girls, Spongebob, Courage, Zim... it's one thing for some people actually having Butch's animes as their absolute favourites, that's fine and totally possible, I mean, there was a time I watched FoP everyday at every change I got, but for him to speak in such broad terms is ridiculous. dude got some mad bangers, but he's no anime god
While I agree with your points, please never refer to Western animated cartoons as animes again. I cringed every time the word was there and it took away from your valid points about Butch Hartman’s career and how his shows actually affected the kids that watched them. Although, if the anime thing was said facetiously, the term “Butch’s Animes” did make me snort as much as cringe.
It’s short for animation i can see why the OP wouldn’t think about the difference between western animation and eastern “Anime” They probably didn’t want to type “animation” out. So chill
I got really offended on the behalf of the person who commissioned Butch to draw Ranma (in his female form) for $200 and not only did he trace official art worth, but he gave him two right hands. I was like "shit, I'm charging so little for my art! By his standers I could charge my art for like... $1,000 each, at least!" I'm also going to plug somebody who actually did a GOOD Ranma in the style of FOP for the commissioner for free. @EmdyOfficial . They're actually a really good artist. Like, wide range of styles really good. (But they still kind of have his own style into it kind of good... If that makes any sense.) I didn't actually watch the entire video yet. I just went off on my own rant. Edit: And this is mentioned in here. Fun Fact: anything good that ever came out of Butch Hartman's shows, didn't even involve him. He's not just a bad artist, he's a bad developer and writer too. On top of being just a plain bad person.
Butch: "I created your childhood" Me: There's also Stephen Hillenberg, Craig McKracken, John R. Dilworth, Pixar Studios, Akira Toriyama, Masashi Kishimoto, Kazuki Takahashi, Rockstar Studios but ok
this is sad too, cause the guy is a genuinely good artist. But somewhere up there, that money went to his head, and religion became some tool to him for more of it.
Your 100% correct. He’s like one of those crazy Protestant Christians that would use the church as a way to exploit people for a quick buck. Churches usually ask for donations and clearly state where they’re going towards (examples are improving the church and for good causes), but look at Butch. He was so vague about the donations he collected and now that cash is gone

You know... to be capable of basic human functions. Instead, they have no choice but to live in specialized group homes because their particular form of autism actually was a life crippling mental illness... It's rare but it does happen. There are a few rare forms of autism that could use "a cure". Not to make them neurotypical, but to give them a chance to live anything resembling a happy life. To let them be able to speak. To let them be like how we are. Not trapped in complete silent agony with no way out. 😞
