Wow I happen to watch this vid today exactly one year ago to the date lol. I was looking for Sundown U-Series VS NSv4
These subs are great, I’ve had a 12 D2 in a daily system for 6 months now and it is a great sub. Mines a China one but they are assembling some now in the US. If you buy one now you may get one of those. Not mentioned in the video is the cone, spider, and tinsel leads are all bolt on. You can see the spider bolts coming down thru the frame in this video. That was a selling point to me, if I blow it, call sundown and order a drop in kit and bolt it in. Mine is on a SAE 2000d and I feel like it would handle more no problem.

anyone doubting these subs look no further, they bump hard as hell. sound amazing and look cool AF i got my seats down 24/7 just to look at em play when i drive. got a 15 in my trunk and im already floating plastic bags so almost at the shirt lvl. but if you want cheap-ish subs that bump hard af go sundown u if you got a lil more change get the x series. but all in all shop with JP or hit him up. man will answer all your questions and help you out to boot. great guy love doing business with him. but anyhow yea the U series is a must for bass heads with limited space.

Me being crippled and love the car audio seen i wish i could get two more of those u 15 d2 then id show them dc guys something talk all tht shit but it would be a blessing cause im about to have 3 major surgies and ill probably be out the audio for awhile back surgeryalready messed me up but i get up everyday thank god and i hve to go to my dad's and help him sense my family dont help (my brother) i cant afford them got the 2 i have by trading a friend a phone for 2 but good job with everything you do i see you at the shows in knox tn im on team high voltage there but anyways god bless you.

soundqubed will put any sundown sub to shame, take a look at the black nasty, 6 cheap ass HDC4 doing 163+ on music and is 3x cheaper than jp's build
a pure spl sub is for burps only, a low end sub is basically a cheap sub with low power and quality, a high end sub is what you probably wanted to say, what if EXO and stupid steve meade dont use soundqubed? the black nasty uses soundqubed and puts everyone to shame in competitions, 163+ on music with 6 $450 dollar subs, you have to spend 3x on sundowns to get that performance, do you understand?

@@TheGamingChad. 163+ doesn't matter when you're sounding like shit doing it!! Nobodies listening to a DB pressure sensor, we're listening to music. The difference between Sundown and Soundqubed is soft parts. Car audio is about the music, Sundown gets loud and sound good doing it. I can use air horns to get 163 db, but what does that mean?
Bought the u-10 a few weeks ago. Hope it'll thump! Not expecting the spl that I had with my x15 but I'm hoping the 10 has good sq.

David Keith How is the build quality compared to the X15? Does it feel quality in person?
I usually do all my electrical however I am recovering from being handicap. I paid $190 total ( included 2/0 welding cable ) for the big 3 upgrade on my 2015 Infiniti Q40. Def worth it for me. I know some ppl enjoy the labor of love, I physically didn’t have a choice. Good luck with your install man!

For those of you who dont know its a very good subwoofer for the price quality sub for sure me and some friends are talking about doing a u series in a 4th order bet itll get down pretty good. Though i am a bigger fan of the night shade line

Price compare I'd compare it to a skar zvx v2. Bout the same sundown has better xmax , smaller vol needed. But it personal preference

I've got 4-8" SA series in my truck and looking to put something in my car. 7.0cuft of air space I'd be working with for inside the box. Been looking at DB, DC, and now maybe these. 2-15's? I like how the DC subs can handle small spaces, can these?

The sundown u isnt a sq sub, its spl oriented. So is the DC sub. The Fi Q neo is your best bet.

I know these are Sundown and I've had X-15s and Zv3 12s in my car and a SA-12 on a power wheel. I have experience with Sundown. I am sure they would hold 1500 RMS but they look cheap as hell. A $400 price point for a 15, I would save $100 and run a Soundqubed HDC3-15. These look like a cheap Zv3

Idk they seem like a sweet sub from up top but then you go below and look cheap..I mean for $300 plus I would think you CLD get a bit better of a sub..still questionable though..need to see a CPL doing g done damage before I decide if I want to break the bank on them..

This is interesting I just built a blow thru box for 3 sa 10s. And have yet to buy the sa I almost did today since my box is tuned for sa or x models 1.25per chamber but do I want to invest in a 6k amp vs a 3k if I get these cause we know they'll handle 2k each easily .I just wonder if they justify prics from sa to x series and move air like night shades do.

At 1500 watts ill rather get the x series
I rather get a JL 13W7 than an X series or U series. A 13W7 is conservatively rated at 1200 watts but pushing more than 1500 watts will hurt it. It’s very expensive but, it’s one of the most musical subwoofers money could buy. I wish Sundown makes a Q sub so I can get W7 sound quality at a fraction of the price of a W7.

if you do the math, you only get 3.7 watts per dollar buying this sub, nowhere near "bang for buck" but nice try JP, if you get an hdc4 and throw an SQ 4.500 RMS amp on it you get 9.3 RMS per dollar out of that sub, that's what you call bang for buck, soundqubed might not be top quality, but for what you pay, hell they are untouchable, sundown isn't top quality either for what you pay, they are really really bad as far as watt to dollar ratio goes
Should never really look at the "watts" of a sub, its a 3" coil similar to a zv3 with a cheaper basket it'll take ~3k no problem. Now an HDC4 will probably take more cuz its a 4" coil but still.

That’s why I go with SKAR AUDIO. There ZVX V2 hits harder with a better basket then these subs. I’ll have a video up soon showing how sundown is extremely over price.
