I have to bash Orion amps. I had bought 2 xtr 2500.1dz amps and one failed but the other is still doing good. Bought a 8000.1 SPL and called Orion so I can get the other one fixed and they told me they don't have a repair department for the amps. So I asked what do I supposed to do about the warranty and they had nothing to say. I called twice and went online to submit a claim and still haven't heard anything. Come to find out Orion was bought out last year by some other company called sound pro inc. I sent the SPL amp back for a refund and now I'm looking for a replacement. That's why I'm bashing Orion because I contacted them first and haven't gotten any service from them.

Mine when i turn up high makes taping noise, is that the coil hitting the bottom or something, use to never do that so early or low volume.. what could that tap noise be ? ... had a 10 do that on one amp, hooked to different amp and didnt do that so im lost ,,, is i damaged? If im getting voltage drop at the amp but not at the battery does that mean?: •i need to upgrade/add power wire running from battery to amp(and subsequently the ground cable from amp) •The subwoofer load is just too much for this amp •perhaps both, need to test it or upgrade 1 and find out

Hey guys, i just bought a DD 712f (1500 rms) and powering with T1500bdcp. I tuned amp to clipping at volume 30. But my dumbass installed the sub (in spec box) and immediately turned it to volume 32 with a bass heavy song for about 5 seconds. Coil started smelling (but not really bad like a blown sub, just enough for me to notice it’s getting hot), so I turn the volume down slowly and let it cool. So basically I over powered sub (because Rockfords are underrated) with dirty clipped power. But I’ve been playing it below volume 30 for a few days now and it seems perfectly fine. Should I worry that i lessened the subwoofers life? Or was it the glue on coil “breaking in”? Thanks you guys

You recommend not having it flush. I recommend you include spacers.
