Ahah using Ex's ability to his fullest. His puyo pair change ability actually cycles though all possible color combinations with no repeats while Ecolos pair change only cycles between puyo pairs of the same color.

It's always curious to me that the modern Puyo Puyo games have had a handful of tracks missing from the BGM choices, I've done everything in adventure mode and there's still several tracks missing, I wonder if they'll come in an update, or if they're already in the game and only serve a purpose in the Story mode, I don't know, it's just weird to go from 21 to 25 in the BGM with a press of a button, I hope these updates are really nice.
Because this game's got too many problems at the moment, re-used Puyo Tetris 1 dialogue in the English version, missing music, and of course that dreadful lag on the Switch version, I'm curious what this new mode I've heard about will be, part of me finds it hard to believe that it'll just be Fever mode from all the other Puyo games, I wouldn't be upset with that I just find it hard to believe that Fever mode is what we're getting, and if it is, releasing it on it's own with no other additional modes would suck.
The previous two Puyo titles were practically finished on release and remain as good games in their own right, so I'm hopeful that the updates will vastly improve the experience, sorry, that's just all I can think about now with how much content seems to have been withdrawn from the game, maybe the deadline was too fast for the team to get everything done right away? I don't mind it though since the potential for updates means they can do even more than they probably would have if the game was released in its entirety right away.
I'm not sure how much other people care but I'm hoping for some alternate costumes like with Valkyrie Arle in Champions, but maybe just a simple start button to switch appearances, I'm sorry but some characters have been in the same outfit for years now and it's kind of boring for someone like me who loves variety, Schezo's got a bunch of options for alternate outfits, Arle doesn't really need an alternate outfit since she's worn the same thing since Madou Monogatari, but a new different outfit would help variety, Sig's been wearing the same thing since 20th Anniversary and I'm kind of bored of it now, I feel like this could have been the game to introduce his Puyo Quest default outfit which looks amazing but we didn't get that.
I'm not saying the alternate outfits need to be outfits from the past, nostalgia is great but variety in general is what I care about, just any options for variety would make me happy.
Lemres, Risukuma, Ringo, Maguro, all four of them are in desperate need of a new look, they're pretty much always in school attire, am I the only one who gets dragged down by small stuff like this? Of course we know there'll be new characters so that doesn't bother me at the moment, but the existing characters are in need of some updated wardrobes, Schezo's been wearing the same thing sinc Puyo Puyo~n, that's a really long time to go with not a single design change, same goes for Satan, am I alone in wanting small cosmetic changes? I know it's nothing game changing and the game's just fine without it but, Tee and everyone from Tetris aren't in great need of new designs since we've only seen them once before but it'd be cool to give them some interesting alternate design changes.
Why does it matter to me so much that I talked this long about it? It's because we all know the gameplay in these games will be mostly the same, so new designs, animations, and voice lines are what we all look forward to, if you play the game in Japanese you'll get new voice lines for everyone, but the English voices are kind of disjointed and it's jarring for me, more new cosmetic stuff will vastly change the game, it's only small but it's the small things we pay attention to in Puyo Puyo.
Yeah, there was a lot more I expected from PPT2, and I was kinda let down in some ways too. It's gonna be a long wait until Jan 14 when the next update is supposed to come out. Although I hope they fix the slowdown issues before then because that's pretty bad.

If you keep pressing the "activate skill" button (X in this case) it cycles through all the tetriminos.
So how does Ex's Tetrimino Change work? Do you pick what tetrimino to use, or the game gives you what it thinks is better?

@@bracken8782 But with the skill battles, Tetris players can send more and more garbage at once. And Puyo players can stall far longer than in the Tsu modes, I think. So theoretically, you should be able to send as much garbage as a comet, right?
@@dusaprukiyathan1613 but remember that tetris pretty much has a hard limit for how much garbage can truly be sent, which is seen in this video. Attack in skill battle doesn't change garbage values, it's why yotarou was able to surviva against overleveled players while underleveled. Tetris cannot send a comet in one attack. That being said, there ARE sprites for a tetris comet which can be sent in party mode.
