Frank answering "steak" for almost every pie felt like someone marking "C" for every question on an exam. You won't get all of them right, but you're bound to get at least one thing right.

One time I brushed my teeth in my studio apartment kitchen and since I left the toothpaste on the stove it was all hot from what I was baking in the oven and it was really really gross.

To be fair who ever cut open the bottom of these pies to in preparation for the tasks are the ones who breached the pies
I'm with the contestants on the whole accidental breaching thing. I don't think that's on them, everyone else had pies they lifted out of the same variety that held together.

@@SharienGaming no taskmaster is objectively a fair game. All contestants have the same tasks with the same object interactions. If one contestant picks up something and the task says not to breach it and it holds together but another picks it up and it falls apart that is not fair at all and it isn't even entertaining to watch.

in some cases the tasks are modified for single contestants as well, because it is funny

@@MuunNii The rules specifically say "but YOU may not breach the pastry. It is a loophole and you cant change the rules to the way you interpreted it. If I said you cant eat my food then I eat it myself, it doesnt matter what the judge thinks because the fine print was followed. There was no sentence to pass because the rules were followed.

I'm with Romesh on the pie breaching. Picking up is a normal use-case for a pie. If the pie falls apart when picked up normally, it's the fault of the pie maker. Whoever made that pie set it up for failure. You could say that the pie breached itself when they picked it up, you could say that the person who made the pie breached the pie, but you definitely can't say that the people who picked up pies that fell apart breached the pies.
Look at it this way: Had the individual not picked up the pie, the pie would still be “unbreached” so hence, the individual was the one who had breached the pie. Case closed.

It is amazing how awful toothpaste is to eat. My four year old grandson woke me early early one morning, and before i was fully awake he put a "mint oreo" cookie in my mouth telling me how he wanted to share it with me. Little bugger replaced the white centre of a regular oreo with tootpaste. Took me about three or four seconds of chewing to realize i'd been had, as the texture turned all "foamy" and my gag reflex kicked in. It was over ten years ago and as i type this i feel the nausea returning. Haven't been able to even look at an oreo since, and cannot use a mint flavoured toothpaste either. Great joke the lad pulled though, so proud of him!

When I was a kid I was irritated with my brother for constantly eating all of the junk food and pretending like it wasn’t him, so I figured I’d be hilarious and stage toothpaste in an Oreo and wait. Only… for my older teen sister to have tried one on a whim and got a mouthful of toothpaste 😶 she wasn’t amused 😂
someone did that to an unhomed guy once while his friends were apparently taping it. i thought that was startlingly cruel. that guy really thought someone was being nice to him. ever since then i give candy/sweets to unhomed people.
@Laura If it makes you feel better, I heard about a youtuber who got like, a four year prison sentence for this sort of thing. So people do face consequences for doing this.

That was one of my favourite on camera (fake-for-comedy) arguments I've ever seen. The best part was them instant bonding at the end over a bad pun. Perfect argument with a perfect ending. This video summed up everything great about this show.

100% don't think it's fair to count that as a breach. The pie falling apart was 100% on whoever put it together not him. That's like me going out and buying a car then the engine falls out of the car and the dealer that sold it to me telling me well it's not their problem I'm the one that broke it.

Nah, Greg's definition requires action on their part. "If you knock on the door and the building collapses". They were perfectly fine until they were picked up and the bottoms fell out.

Josh and Romesh didn’t “breach” the pies. “Breach” implies intent, and the pies clearly “broke” when Josh and Romesh picked them up in a normal manner.

Plot twist they didn't replace the pies for each person and just refilled it and glued the pastry back together.

@@Katt1n because obviously the whole plot of the story was that the pies were fresh pies for each contestant! So the twist was that they didn't, I guess? I'm just going on @Kamiel's logic here
@@basbloem8259 No. The plot twist was the fact that the pie lost structural integrity and the gap grew wider making it more obvious that you could peak in from the bottom and still follow the rules. That means the first contestant had it the worst and that's probably why he did the worst as his only option was to follow Roisin's logic which he unfortunately didn't think of. His pies were definitely more solid and lacking the peep holes like the other contestants had. It also explains why the latter contestants had the bottom of their pies fall apart. They didn't exactly treat the pie any rougher than the other contestants yet it fell apart as soon as they picked it up. Of course, they'd need new pies after it fell apart or they ate it anyway but that just further adds to the inconsistency and hence adds another layer of unfairness.

You gotta give it to Alex Horne - I mean... he goes whole hog when he does this show. SO many others would just say.... "Erm.... NO". But he just does these tasks like its just another day.... On stage I don't find him that funny, but on this.... maximum respect (across all episodes). AND he usually keeps character as well....
Josh and Ramesh chewing into Roisin before her go was incredible, Taskmaster successfully turned them against themselves.

Lifting something and it breaking isn't a breach by definition
It's just it falling apart
However the holes being present in the pies is actually a breach by definition
But then we got the problem of them breaking the rules even if they don't participate

I forget that some countries prefer savory pies. Here in the states when we say pie it’s dessert and there’s Usually fruit or chocolate or something else similar and I kept getting thrown off when they were listing meats.

I don't agree with the ruling. One of the taskmasters (not-Alex) says to one of the men that when he entered the room the pie was intact and when he left the pie was breached, if that was the case then a breach regardless of who done it still breaks the rules.
