I think it's been a while since the Wither Skeleton minifig has been released, but I still love so much that they made extended legs for them. The Wither Skeleton is my favorite mob, and the fact that they took the time to extend their height is really special to me, as their height is really an iconic part of that mob.
Theyâve only been released in like 4 sets I think not including this one? The old Wither and Nether Battle sets (which are discontinued), the Blaze Bridge and the one Polybag set (Blaze Bridge is retiring soon and Iâve never seen the polybag) so getting another way to get a Wither Skeleton in a fairly affordable set is definitely welcome
@@KikiCatMeow I got the nether fight for like 10 bucks a couple years ago. I found it in my old Lego box with random stuff and it's really good you get 5 minifigs if you count the slime.
5:15 that is the ancient debris block, the one you smelt to get netherite scrap
I'm pleasantly surprised because it seems they used a new mold specifically for the netherite helmet instead of simply reusing the usual helmet mold. You can tell by looking at the side guards for the face that go all the way down to the bottom of the face.
They managed to get some more use out of it in that Dungeons set too, which I guess justifies making a new mould for it more.

Jang does the best Lego Minecraft reviews. Not too long, not too short. One sees the set on a variety of angles and learns about all the features.
The legs on the wither give hope for posable battle droid legs!
Skeletons have had individual legs for longer than battle droids were a thing.
Its a good thing Lego brough teal back. Imagine them trying to recreate a warped forest with green or blue.
I still am kinda baffled they havenât even tried to give Steve and Alex dual molded arms by now in at least one of the sets. I know it costs more and theyâre included in almost every set, so itâd be hard to keep consistent but still I feel itâs long overdue
But what purpose would it serve, they've no need for it.

I believe(?) that Steveâs helmet is actually a new mold to match the model of the Netherite helmet in game.
It was also used in the Dungeons set released at the same time (I think).
I have this set and own other sets with helmets, and I can confirm it is a brand new mold, im not sure about that Minecraft dungeon part though.
That's either Soul Soil or Ancient Debris. Either way, it's a pretty cool addition.

I got this set for ÂŁ22.40 because of the boxing day discount in amazon, because I had already acquired the warped forest set and had notice that there was a little warped part and I realised I could connect them too. Thanks for the preview of the set, I was t really sure if I should ve bought it at first, but as you demonstrated, its quite worthwhile
I like this set, I got 2 and so happy they released another color of Sheep head to add to my sheep farm =)

Omg as a minecraft freak n mah love for lego, i can see myself doing a custom terrain with that nether portal mechanism! Just wow and the way you displayed this set is juz amazing!
Mentioning that the soul soil is actually ancient debris just so I can say that I don't think it's a very good representation of it, I think it would've been better if it was setup like an ore block with dark brown, and tan or gold as the studs
That netherite armor though? Perfect, couldn't ask for more. Didn't see you mention that the helmet is actually brand new for this set, as netherrite helmets have a new design in-game vs the older armors. I love that they made a new mould for the helmet as opposed to just a recolor of the regular armor
I'd also like to see at least one more mob, although asking for a baby piglin to ride the baby hoglin might be asking too much
I'm not sure I like the ancient debris either. The colours could've been better, but for me it's more than it's out in the open that I don't like. Ancient debris cannot generate naturally if adjacent to any air blocks, so you need to go digging for it. It would've been nice to see an action feature (similar to tnt/creeper action features they've done in the past) where the 'player' uncovers the ancient debris, which would've lent to the immersion even more. Hecc, Lego could've used a bed too as a nice nod to the popular method of using beds (or tnt) to go mining for ancient debris.
All that is a very minor nitpick though, and for all I know, adding a feature like that might not have been possible with the budget and/or the build.
@@kokorodaki4017 I think it can generate exposed but it's incredibly rare so it might just be world generation bugginess
@@EmeraldCoasttt if it can, that's a bug. it's not supposed to generate with any sides adjacent to air blocks
@@kokorodaki4017 true but beyond just sticking it under the main platform (which you can do with the set) I'm not sure what the best way to have it hidden away would be

I think it would have been cool if they did an exact mirror on each side of the portal. Terrain and all.
Maybe something like this:
Steve/wither skeleton
Pig/hoglin
Oak tree/warp tree
Water/lava
Grass/warp netherite stuff
Idk. I think it would have been cooler, but this is still good.
I'm getting three of these to make proper builds for one fully in the nether and one in the over world. Going to rebuild the over world one to be surrounded by netherak and magma blocks in its immediate area. Also needs a chest on the over world side. I wish they'd do a non-opening chest print built the same way they do crafting tables and such.

Took a while for LEGO to make the 1.16 nether biomes.
2022 will have a 1.17/1.18 Lush Cave biome set.
So what's still missing are Dripstone Caverns, updated mountain biomes (with Goat), Copper .
I don't think Deepslate is that special yet, until 1.19 will update Deep Dark Cities + Warden boss, and same update LEGO can do some cool Mangrove Swamp set with frogs.

I am sad when a set doesn't have a steve or Alex I think they should release a seasonal skin pack instead because I like to create cities of Steve's
I wish the purple sheep included was the adult version. There aren't enough pieces included to rebuild it into an adult, and from what I can tell, the 2x3 plate doesn't exist in this purple color at all. Also, the head of the sheep is slightly different from all the previous versions, as not only is the piece itself recolored, but the face print is slightly different, as the face and mouth have purple outline and lips, while all the previous versions (except for the very first version of white sheep, which had magenta lips) had brown lips and outline. I wonder why they decided to change such a small detail.
The Netherite helmet is slightly different too, as the guard goes a bit further down, up to the chin.

I don't like Lego Minecraft, because for me it feels unnecessary to be able to play Minecraft IRL when you get exactly the same on a PC, but I do really like this as a diorama piece for a Lego and Minecraft fan
Cool effects for it, granted not my cup of tea and I do like both lego and minecraft, but still neat. Although I will say a wither skeleton would never be on the other side of the portal in that biome đ€Ł

The portal doesnât slide down properly for me either. It doesnât even go halfway downâŠI have to push it the whole way. The design is totally flawed. Not sure how this passed testing.
For me the mechanism is ruined by the orange 1x2 piece breaking part of the nether side when the lever goes up? The piece doesn't even need to be there!

I donât understand this build, I know kids who make more creative sets by themselves with their imagination without purchasing a licensed Mincraft set. All or most of the parts can be found either online or from the bulk part boxes from the stores. Why are these Minecraft sets so uninspired?
I don't understand what you mean by uninspired, the functioning nether portal is pretty cool and the little bit of the overworld/nether is there to flesh it out
