- Hi fellow foodies/travelers! If you are lucky enough to be heading to the Eternal City this year, I have a video for you! I have carefully chosen my top 5 favourite spots to get Gelato in Rome! I have spent at least 1 year of my life in beautiful Roma, and as a Gelato lover, I definitely know some great spots. I chose these based not only on how delicious these "ice creams" were, but also based on how conveniently located these Gelaterias are. I talk you through my picks for the top 5, and I also let you know which flavours I loved at these specific locations. I also briefly go over the difference between Gelato and Ice Cream in the beginning. I hope you enjoy my picks, and feel free to let me know of your favourites as well. Lisa, you are so adorable I can't concentrate on what you are saying. lol. I had to watch several times. I have been to Roma 20 times at least and you taught me a few things. Loved your other video on what to eat in Roma. I ate at most of those places but not all. I will definitely do that this September. When you were describing yourself about being a food lover you were describing me. I have traveled all over Europe but because of the food quality or lack of I can't go anywhere now but Italy. I would love to visit Rome someday. I love food, so also seeing a video on restaurant's and places to eat in Rome would be great. Also, how about a shopping video. Do you do any shopping (clothes, makeup, skincare, souvenirs, etc) while in Rome.
Lucinda thanks for the ideas! I would love to do a video on food in Rome as well 😊 A shopping video could also be a great idea.. Hopefully I will return to Italy this year, and after filming a “What I Bought” video is a good idea.. I love to get a certain perfume when I’m there as well 😊💕

Hey dolcelis! Thanks to your videos i went to giolitti in septembre! Thankyouu it was so good :))) i also found a good restaurant near the vatican and it wasnt expensive or touristy at all. Just at a 6 min walk.. but i dont know the name lmaooo! We just bumped into it after another restaurant i found on youtube was actually closing because of their siesta/family time. So we walked through the neighbourhood and boom, there it was. Didnt look superfancy so i was already hoping it was good and it was kinda good. I had pasta with bottarga, thats fish eggs right? Anyway i will try to find the name again and i’ll let you know!

Sorry, my dear, but gelato and icecream have different ingredients; gelato is made 100% with milk, no cream at all; and ice-cream, well, the name tells you what it is. There are in Rome some gelaterias that make "gelato" with cream and milk, and even add food coloring, but that is not real gelato. Also, as you said, gelato is made slowly, so is more dense. That is why the real thing you never see it with mountains of "gelato" over boarding the containers. Unfortunately, there are "gelato"-makers who don't make 100% authentic gelato.
While gelato uses mainly milk, it can also use cream, just much less in comparison. It is still gelato. There are many areas that are making poor gelato for sure, which is why travelers should beware. I believe we are on the same page here 😅
