Jack Bongo true, 100% agree, and if we don’t act on issues such as global warming, it will lead to our demise. It’s selfishness, yes it’s human nature but as long as we are about our own happiness, we won’t make it to end of this century if we don’t listen to the scientist and the issues there addressing. It’s nice to have these things like steak and phones, but we also we need to at the same time, not destroy our planet.

In my first apartment, stored in the basement of the building, was an old wooden ice box. It had a metal pan in the bottom that had a drainpipe and tap for the water that came from the melting ice. It seemed well made and appeared to still be functional, but the World had changed and refrigeration reduced the labor required to keep ones food cold and that is presumably what caused this piece to be relegated to the basement.
