  • In the motorcycle world, high visibility is of utmost importance. This video covers the Halo light customization to my BMW R1250 RT.
    It is a $20 halo light set from Amazon which works perfectly on my RT but it should work on any BMW or other motorcycle or car.

    Hey Parag! I used your install video when doing this on my k1600b.....then upgraded to 22' 1250rt and came back here to do it on my rt.....and now im back! Hurricane Ian wiped out my 1250rt so now that i have insurance $ in-hand, i got a new '23 1250 gsa!!! Your video is fantastic and its the 3rd time ive been back here!!!!

    One of the best ways to remove Roundels from adhesive is with dental floss or the string from inside 550 parachute cord. Use it like a saw going back and fourth and it goes through the adhesive pretty well. It beats marring or scratching the Roundels.

      😃 thanks for sharing. Hopefully it’ll help some of the future viewers. Using appropriate tools makes a whole lot difference. At the time I didn’t know how they were affixed to the chrome pieces.

    I installed these and they look great and work awesome. I find that mine cause interference with my radio. Did you notice any with your install.

      That’s great! Unfortunately I do not have onboard speakers, so I won’t be able to provide any input on that. You may need a different power source. Maybe install like an accessory on EZHexCan or similar power regulator.

    Great mod the only problem is that if you use the feed to the power socket, when you plug a battery charger in there the light activates.

    forgot to ask you brother, since the right side is connnected to the euro hella din positive, when you shut off the bike it stays on longer than left side. do you have a solution for it perhaps another wire to connect? have you noticed that ? it doesn't bother me but it would be great if they can be both turned off the same time.

      Yes. I did notice that. I would be looking for another cable to tap into to have them turn off at the same time.

      Thank you!! Yes, what you mentioned is correct for the right hand side. Two separate combinations Left one is at 2:42 and Right one is at 6:46.

    on bmw's red and blue is always left side usually indicators, blue and black will be right.. across all models

      Nice 👏 I just did a trip to Mount Washington it rained up there and was super windy as usual. Both lights are working without issues. Sometimes they dim if the battery is running low, especially after when I end up playing with my K5 camera to download videos. But they go back to normal as soon as the bike runs for about 5 mins.

      Oh sorry to hear, my bike doesn’t have speakers 😕 or TPMS due to chip shortage.

      The radio seems to experience interference to the extent that it becomes unusable, but since I usually play music and listen to radio through my mobile phone, the disturbance doesn't really affect me.

      on the Right side makes the halo rings on even when the moto is off
      Yes I've the radio and the Radio become unusable
      Someone got a solution?

      @EnriqueCristianMonteldelaRoche I haven't tried to disconnect the right side only and check if the radio interference persists.
      On the right side, it is connected to the 12v jack so it turns off couple of seconds later.

      @@teach1644 True the method may not of of your liking :) but it is definitely useful to have additional lights. You can opt for an expensive option, there are expensive roundel lights that you can buy but you will also need a power regulator to plug them in. Those are pretty much plug-and-play solution but I think they make them only for K series. I couldn't find any for the RT. Let me know if you come across a better solution.       Wow for £140 without ezCAN. These I paid $20 and they are brighter. Still working through rain, snow, heat and they don’t look cheap.

    Its a shame that you used such cheep Chinese led lights. Go to A Bike Thing based in the UK. Order up some high quality ones.

    GREAT VIDEO! However, I would silicone that little controller box…it does not like rain or car washes. I’m doing the same exact thing at this very moment.

      So far so good 😁🤞 It survived through heavy rains and car wash.
