Thanks! Haha yea RT is perfect bike for all occasions, I glide over those potholes. Yes the roads are amazing as we go farther from the city like Upstate and Eastern LI.

I helmet I use lav mic so I won’t need to turn two things on. But for off ride videos I use Mic2 with DJI4. Absolutely love it.

It doesn’t use any more data then if you use a navigation app like Waze or maps. Most of the times I use Waze when I’m leading rides, I use scenic in both cases I always have connected app running in the background, but that’s just to log the ride data.

That’s not good. It’s a new one for me since I have not experienced it. Post a review on their app on AppStore. They do reach out. I had done it in the past when I was having connection issues and dealer was charging me for latest firmware update. An email from BMW NA helped me. You use iPhone or Android?

If you can try using a friend’s iPhone to see if you feel any difference. I did that when everyone was having Bluetooth issues but at the time only the firmware update fixed it. Nevertheless no one should be experiencing these issues when you spend $20k+ on a motorcycle. That’s why I still call the app and navigation a gimmick.

Thank you! I live near Garden City. Ride was comfortable. RT is a great bike. On the way back we only took two breaks totally maybe 1hr 19mins. We did around 3 hour stints. Hope your trip was as much fun as ours 😊 if not more. I wish we had one more day but most of us had work the next day.

​@@ninerpeak 3 hour legs is a long time in the saddle. I test rode an RT a few months ago - it was very comfortable and a lot of fun to ride. Love the boxer motor. My trip was so good, I’m going back again in a few weeks, this time on the GSA. I lived in Levittown for a long time before escaping NY to NC.

Yeah I agree with you. You can see it switching back and forth in this video. I keep it only when I’m not leading a ride. If I’m riding solo or leading a ride, I use Scenic.

@@ninerpeak Do you notice any handlebar vibrations. I seem to notice it more in my throttle hand it is noticeable to me I was a little surprised when I left the dealership, I was expecting it to be more like a gold wing..lol!

@masterspin7796 I think you are on the money here. Boxer engine is not k own to be smooth but yes, I do feel more vibration in my right hand compared to left and I know I don’t have a death grip. This is even when casual highway riding. I use Grip Puppies. They seem to help a lot.

Congratulations on the new bike! RT is a great motorcycle. I never had the fortune to ride the older models but I got the refresh in 2021 and it’s been an amazing journey. Yes, Part 2 of this video was supposed to be Hancock and Catskill region but I never got chance to finish that video. Lake Placid region is my fav. It’s on the list for riding, hopefully next year. This year is all booked 😁

Splash proof. Use it all the time on motorcycle even during rain. Have dipped it in water accidentally no issues. I won’t put it under water for longer periods like while swimming.

Hey! Thanks!! Yes I have two cameras but they only can start/stop recording with remote if both cameras are on. Which is useful in some cases but not when I’m riding. It’s a disappointment. So I use remote only for the camera looking at me but use record button for the helmet cam.

Yes, that would’ve been nice when you’re away from the camera and can’t see either of screens clearly.

Many times I don’t use external mic. My helmet mic is Rode 2 Lav Mic.

There is no country restriction on the usage of the remote. However if you are looking to add DJI care protection plan, there may be restrictions.

Just plastic. But I put a washer so that the mount puts pressure on larger area instead of just the plastic wall. That’s a pretty thick plastic piece.

Congratulations 🎉 R1250RT is a great choice. In my opinion the bike is the perfect balance of sporty yet comfortable ride. I love my RT.

The panniers don’t have cables. Contacts are on mounts so they auto connect as you latch on those panniers to the bike.

They say it’s up to 70m I haven’t used it from that far though.

😆 they could’ve added that as a feature. The battery life on these is doubtful though. Not sure if it’ll last whole day even if it just shows time.

@@ninerpeak It doesn’t have to last, and without knowing your Timezone, the time of day would be incorrect, but at least you wouldn’t need a seperate device to keep track of the battery life of everything.

@@ninerpeak its almost perfect its light its small it goes up n down on its own , which helps w shorter inseams, its very stable at high speed and has excellent wind protection. The engine is amazin, excited for the RT 1300

K are huge bikes. I’d call them luxury. This GS is trying to be best of both worlds.

I went from a Goldwing 1500 to a GS 1150. I don't see me ever riding a big fat road bike again.

I have both and despite all the goodness, if I have to keep one bike, it would be the K1600 GTL that I have for the overall experience. I gave up my first gen BMW S1000XR.

I ride a 2021 RT and didn’t really like the 1250 GS because of weight (with panniers). 1300 GS maybe a good sweet middle. Still thinking 🤔
