My grandma is from Mexico and I showed her this video, she about melted! Sabor a Mi is an older more "Classic" song which my grandma knew, she also complimented them a bunch on their pronunciation for people who don't speak Spanish fluently! They really did so well with this cover

Believe me, the pronunciation was really good. For Koreans is difficult to pronounce the r but they did AMAZING!!💖💖 Words like "eternidad" or "tendrás" were so smooth that I almost didn't even feel the Korean accent on them. The only mistake I could find was that they missed some "s" at the end of some word. But that's not even a mistake because Spanish speakers like me don't even say those "s" 😂😂

The Spanish r and the Korean ㄹ are the same. It's actually really easy for them to pronounce~ It's the L and English r that are difficult~~

The guy on guitar is actually the main rapper. He sings, he composes and plays various instruments, but he's mainly a rapper. The vocalists are D.O, Suho and Baekhyun. D.O and Baekhyun are main vocalists along side Chen; Suho is EXO's leader and a subvocalist, but he has a beautiful voice. You should check out Chanyeol singing Creep and Chen doing Sunday Morning on JYP Party People.

I think that for all Latin-american Spanish speakers it was really beautiful. Obviously, they've put a lot of effort to make it sound in the most similar way like our language: AND IT WAS GREAT. Korean is very similar in pronunciation to Spanish, really. At least, that's what i've noticed while i was learning Korean. The vowels are pretty similar.

I agree, this performance was actually the reason why I start wondering about this boys, I was like Who are they? they are singing one of my favorite songs...so I start to look for more songs and mv´s of Exo and here I am a 33 years old woman, mother of two and proud to be Exo L.

They worked extra hard on pronouncing L and R. I remember them taking turns (more like playing) in rolling their tongue and who has the longest to hold letter r since Koreans have difficulty in pronouncing L and R properly. they had so much fun esp $uho

I think this is the third video where you commented "that's pretty" on Suho's voice (the second guy from the left) and I agree. He gets overlooked a lot because of Baekhyun and Chen's high notes and D.O's soulful voice, but Suho has a very pretty and soothing kind of voice that comes in almost as a base for all the other experimental notes and is perfect for these types of ballads.
But isn't the second guy from left D.O though?

Estoy segura que el español es tan ajeno para ellos como el coreano lo era para mi antes de conocerlos. A estas alturas la unica cancion que me se un poco es monster y no completa y mi pronunciación es terriblemente mala asi que los admiro aun mucho mas por hacerlo tan bien.

My fave singers in Exo are Baek and Kyungsoo (1st and 3rd one from left to right), but I feel it's great to hear people appreciating Suho's voice (the one you said you liked better), cause I think he's a bit underrated, when in fact he has a very sweet voice.

Same! I think some korean letters have similar pronounciation to portuguese/spanish (portuguese is my second/mother language and they did a really good job!)
Chanyeol’s (guitar guy) singing isn’t as strong compared as that to the others because he isn’t a lead or main singer like the other three. He’s a rapper but blessed with a beautiful voice and talent❤️

They can sing so good not only Korean, but also Chineese, Japaneese, Vietnameese, Spanish and ofc English, especially the guy who sing first, its D.O (read : Dio), we called him King of Multilanguage bcz he has excellent pronounciation in many language. the one with the guitar (Chanyeol) wasn't vocally trained much compared to the other three since his position in the group is rap hence his technique isn't that good in comparison but he always wanted to sing and improved over the years and now he is one of the rappers in K-Pop who can actually carry a note decently (actually most SM Entertainment (where EXO is signed under) rappers aren't bad at singing since they are a vocals oriented company)
Sam's smile while watching EXO singing always makes me smile! 😍 I feel like a proud mother (though I'm a bit younger than them)! 😄 EXO's vocals, their versatility in doing different kinds of music & ability to sing in multiple languages are some of the reasons why we EXO-L love them so much! 💖 Thank you for highlighting these & pointing things for EXO to improve! 👍 How I wish for them to watch your videos Sam! 😊

I've seen this "vocal coach" in spanish that literally just fangirls and compliments everyone, gets the vocal terms mixed like saying something is a head voice when it's mixed and a lot of wrong info but since she's only praising their faves, she's getting popular and it's soo tiring but Sam indeeds shows he knows what he's talking about and I'm happy he's getting that recognition;;;

I'm so hesitant to request this... because people will think I'm requesting it for the sensual performance when I'm not. Truly, I promise I'm requesting because I want to see how you think they did vocally... Can you please watch EXO White Noise-Thunder-Playboy-Artificial Love from EXO'rdium? Like their acoustic session it's a medley from their concert. People get distracted over the performance that many don't realize how great the songs/vocals are in those specific songs :(

I've watched the EXO'rdium concert DVD quite a bit (especially that part because it contains 2 of my fave EXO songs), but it's edited/mastered so much that it takes away from their actual skills >_< I personally think they sound much better when it's less mastered and you can hear pure vocals laying on top of the background music (if that makes sense)
But we don't have a video that's like that, and they've never really performed those songs together aside from that time. :( If that set happened in the ElyXiOn then we would get something more raw given what I've seen from its DVD. I think even the acoustic session and Wolf had post-processing and he probably could tell but he still got to critique it enough so maybe it will be fine.

You're so precious! Everything you say (especially criticism) is said with so much grace and encouragement and it's very constructive and informative. So much niceness and positive reinforcement. We need more people like you (on CZcams and as teachers and everywhere frankly). Thanks for bringing so much to the community. Finally a breath of fresh air.
