The intro to "The DREAD MASTERS Explained" made into a tribute! Hope you all enjoy please sub :3
I know this isn’t a perfect idea since obviously it’s never been tested, but I always wondered what would have happened if the Sith empire decided to release control of their apprentices once they granted them the rank of Darth. not only would it reward them for getting that far into the sith hierarchy, but it would also allow the sith empire to not have to lose a Darth for a new one to rise (I know that’s not how it goes in all cases but still). basically what I’m trying to say is once your apprentice gets to a certain level of power and understanding as well as they have their own power base you should allow them to break off from you and start making their own decisions and then they intern would do the same for their apprentices eventually. this simple change would mostly ensure that a master never need worry about being betrayed to early since every apprentice would know that if they continued to grow they would eventually become an equal to their master. this would also apply to the apprentices as well since they wouldn’t want to betray their masters if they know eventually that if they learn and follow their masters orders they will eventually be given the rank of Darth and join their master in the upper echelon of the Sith, and they would then be free to continue the cycle over and over. Just a thought I’ve had for a long time.
@@Crackmiser I think Darth Revan answers this perfectlt for you. This is an actual statment from Darth Revan's Holocron:
"Those who accept the power of the dark side must also accept the challenge of holding onto it. By it's very nature the dark side invites rivalry and strife.This is the greatest strength of the Sith, it culls the weak from our order. Yet this rivalry can also be our greatest weakness. The strong must be careful lest they be overwhelmed by the ambitions of those beneath them working in consort. Any master who instructs more than one apprentice, is a fool. In time the apprentices will unite their strength and overthrow the master, it's inevitable, axiomatic. that is why each master, must only have one student" - Darth Revan
This statement inspired the rule of two, brought in by Darth Bane. Hopefully, you understand the answer given. If you don't, this is the tl:dr Sith won't work together they lack the ability to co-exist among other strong Sith, the cycle of betrayal inspired by the dark side is, and always will be, *inevitable.*
