Gex's improv reminds me of a piece of wisdom a theatre teacher from when I was at high school used to teach every new student:
"They tell you the first rule of improv is to always 'Yes, and', but that's not true. The real rule number one of improv is: 'The most important cue to pick up on is when to stop doing improv!', because improv is hard and can get annoying really quickly, even when you have a lot experience. So if someone tells you to stop, you stop. Or they will just start ignoring you."

1:27:50 Ghor warning, for those who want to see Ghor do multiple pratfalls

4:31:27 FYI, springball is not "literally shake the Wiimote",.
It's specifically flicking it upwards. If you've been just giving it a shake like you would in Mario Galaxy, that'd explain why it didn't always work for you, particularly when panicking.

Ngl, Gex's frequent impression of an Aurora Unit/annoying helper made this really grating to watch. Hopefully it gets toned down for future streams

To make using the wiimote more comfortable you might want to resort to finding a way to have the sensor bar hang under the desk if possible so that you can hold the controller in your lap while playing.

So having done some research about Friend Tokens for Trilogy, it seems that the way to get them is to use some sort of code for a save file, that will reset it and then add said Tokens. When I say reset, I mean reset. Better hope you put that into a fresh file

This game definitely at least for one instance made the best use for Boost Ball vs enemies

Sad I missed this live, I took NyQuil before it came on and passed out
8:23 this aspect of Prime 3 is why it’s my least favorite of the trilogy: I don’t like having to sit through that reminder when loading my save.
Also I thank a damn PETA Mario knock off for the term I use for gamer arthritis/CTS: “Wii-itis”. Very on-brand for the current game.

I agree with that motion controls are rough with ADHD. Since I turn that crap off whenever I can in Switch games(even though a few shrines in BotW still use it but those are actually good puzzles so I give them a pass but frick those for aiming).

I'm fairly certain Hypermode does time out, it's just easier to use hypermode to kill them and look for somewhere else to get the scan.

Hey, I told you - to put less strain on your wrist, set Sensitivity to Advanced!
It'll feel weird at first, but give it an honest 7-minute attempt where you navigate the world with it, and decide to keep or drop it then.
I'd like you to at least try it because it can really change someone's opinion of the controls on this game (and Trilogy's versions of Prime 1 and 2), in particular in regards to "it hurts my wrist" issues, and it's a shame that not everybody tries it before settling on an opinion.

5:40:20 Idk if this is pointed out later but there is heavy evidence from the look of the thing to the fact it doesnt have a new logbook entry that this Berserker lord is the SAME ONE you fought at the start if the game. This thing somehow survived that overkill at the start

    • @ExtremeAce
      @ExtremeAce Před měsícem +1

It's a different one. The scans for the Berserker Knights/Lords tell that with enough experience Berserker Knights are promoted to Lords. So it's basically a class of Space Pirates like the Troopers. Which is why when you scan one, you don't need to scan another of its type

2:27:00 - yup, this is definitely a game created during that era when Nintendo was very handholdy with their games. In other games in the series, they want you to come to that conclusion on your own.
Note: I don't mind games being linear or giving you hints on what to do at all (in fact, I actually appreciate some level of guidance given to me to a point), but sometimes Nintendo could be a touch overbearing with the "HEY, DO THIS TO PROCEED" nudges and winks over the years. shout-outs to that one "puzzle" with the boomerang switches in Wind Waker's final dungeon, where they just outright show you the solution.

You know, if you've softmodded your Wii and have installed Wiiflow (both trivial nowadays), you could use Wiiflow to backup your Corruption DVD into a USB flashdrive or harddrive, and launch that digital backup (through Wiiflow) instead of the DVD. That'd noticeably cut down on the loading; there'll still be some long-ish door loading in particular rooms, but at least I'm 99% confident you won't have random pauses when scanning, as the DVD won't need to be spun back up.
