In the modern digital world it’s very easy to develop a smartphone addiction. Managing your screen time on social media apps like TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and CZcams is as important as having a proper diet. By being mindful with how you spend your time on the internet you can drastically improve your life. In the last few years the topics of “social media detox” or “dopamine detox” were discussed very actively by lifestyle and productivity CZcamsrs. And with popularity of minimalist lifestyle many people are trying digital minimalism by deleting social media apps and abandoning smartphone for an old flip phone.
I decided to do a 30 day dumb phone challenge by using an old Nokia phone for a month. In this lifestyle vlog I documented this challenge. I was truly surprised how much my life changed after abandoning my smartphone. My productivity and focus improved drastically. Without all the newsfeeds and notifications I had less distractions and my mind wasn’t wandering as much as before. Another great improvement was in my sleep. When I stopped using my phone in bed I started falling asleep a lot better. This challenge improved the quality of my sleep. I had more energy in the morning and felt a lot more rested after a good night of sleep. Also I started reading more. Without a smartphone in my hands at the bus or during lunch I started reading. So I think it’s a great idea to swap your smartphone for a dumb phone every once in a while and do a social media detox.
This CZcams challenge was inspired by minimalism and productivity CZcamsrs like Matt D’avella, Wheezy Waiter, Ali Abdal. And was made in the style of creative lifestyle vloggers like Casey Neistat and Peter McKinnon

I think it's hilarious watching people who've never been without a smartphone live life without it. Is healthy to do this and see how addicted we actually are. Good for you doing it. I've never used smartphones for driving. Have used garmins since they came out and they work better.
To be fair I got my first smartphone when I was 19. But these things are so addictive it seems like I always had one.
