The problem with modern cell phones especially smart phones is that people tend to get too Enamored in their phones that they forget what's important in their lives PEOPLE. In some cases cell phones are responsible for breaking up family life not to mention friends too. Families no longer sit at the table or living room and just talk to each other. Most are so busy web browsing, texting or on the phone talking to other instead of conversing with family right there. People these days are so disconnected many have lost the art of conversation. I've seen kids sitting with each othe instead off talking they're texting each other. Texting is good in some situations but nothing beats hearing a live live voice.
I would dfinitely try to do this challenge! You're experience is inspiring!

Agree. i stop using smartphone since my kid drop it accidently. i did my experiment unintentionally. Nowadays, we cant simply throw smartphone at all since our work demand. But true your quality life improve and more focused. Work and life get balanced.

I own a Nokia 6300 4G dual sim and use that as a wifi hotspot. It's not nice to have a basic phone these days 😅 Great video Kabayan ❤️ ingat palagi ✌️

Finally finally may nahanap din ako na video hahaha kasi this is my new years resolution to disconnect my self to social media , kasi yung iba kakamustahin ka lang pag kailangan ka , pero actually pag walang kailangan hnd ka man lang makamusta
Try it for a week and see what happens. I got more productive nung nadisconnect ako sa social media. nawala yung insecurity ko kasi wala akong balita kahit kanino, less toxic din yun life kasi walang rants and vents from social media. try it ✌️

I went back to smartphone coz I need it for my YT review. But still using some of the things I learned from the experiment. Dont over use internet and live in the moment.

It was a great experience and I will do it again. Reviewing smartphones is part of my work so I have no choice but I'm exercising the things I've learned from that experience and will do it again for sure!

I quit social media and all I use is youtube and facebook for market place and that social media is overrated and it's full of criminals and bad people and that the basic phones keep you safe from all of that stuff and I got a nokia basic phone and use my computer to get online just like the the days when everyone had flip phones and no social media
Maybe the best I can personally come up with as a compromise would be the Windows Phones. You have enough net to go around what you do need with your online communications, but none of the social media shenanigans you are trying to run away from...unless you are that willing to go through it using a browser.
It worked for me like a charm.

I had the same experience when my phone messed up i reverted back on using my old samsung phone sitting around on my drawer for 2 weeks while waiting for my next pay out because that's the time I'm gonna get a new phone. So no waze, no facebook, no spotify, and damn no authenticator app. It became a slight roadblock on my daily work. Because I use my smartphone to login to company vpn.
I bet your life gets quieter though 😉

Are you sticking with it for longer or did you pick back up using smartphone? I've tried this before and lasted about a month, wasn't terrible and had its pros. The convenience of smartphones is hard to pass up, I may try again.
I went back to my smartphone but brought with me the lessons I've learned from this experience. I will do this again when travelling, I'll bring a basic phone and a vlogging camera (and not smartphone). I think once in a while you can do this like Holy Week, Christmas, etc.
@@GadgetRevNow I think that's a good balance and definitely see the positive effects. I don't use social media anymore, but I still struggle with about 3 to 4 hours of sot. Getting better but it's tough. Great video man!

No no. Doing it for 1 week is not long enough to see any results. No. It needs to be 4 weeks at least. Your brain is not even done re setting until 10 days AT LEAST.
