    Great video. Don’t hate on those flux core welds, they look fine. Finally someone smart enough to do a test drive and drive it “normal”, not WOT . Thx

      I couldn’t recommend it enough, I love it! It sounds good when you want it to and it’s not annoying at all, i think even on the highway it’s not bad! I didn’t realize how good it sounded until I let someone else drive off in the truck. For the money 100% can’t beat it.

  • @EvanWilliams86
    @EvanWilliams86 Před 2 lety

    So I'm from the motorcycle world. If you do certain changes in exhaust, you have to re-tune it or you'll run lean (or rich, can't remember which way it goes). So, for these trucks, can you just do this and not tune anything? Just change the exhaust up as you want and then run it just fine?

    • @RyanBoden
      @RyanBoden  Před 2 lety +2

      Im more into the bike scene too, I believe it’s the same, if your just running an exhaust then it’s fine, but if your letting way more airflow the the motor was tuned for then for sure you need to tune. I believe it’s the same idea.
      If you do just a exhaust typically your fine, once you have a new air filter or intake, chances are your running lean because your motors taking in more air then before.

      A motorcycle is far less forgiving when you start messing with exhaust due to loss of back pressure etc.

    • @Hiram33

      Engine is only going breath as fast as the Throttle Body Can Handle.
      Removing stock cold air would just make the engine sound louder removing pipe and air boxes.

    Debating on muffler delete vs flow master 40 ..any advice?

    • @RyanBoden
      @RyanBoden  Před 2 lety +3

      I get a lot of compliments on the sound of the muffler delete, everyone always asks me “what exhaust did you do?” I laugh and tell them I just cut out my muffler .
      Honestly man if you don’t own a welder or cutting tools then I’d say go for the FM 40 because it’s simple and you’ll spend less time. Bolts out then bolt on. If you have time to burn and tools then do the muffler delete.
      As for sound I cannot speak on the FM 40 because I have never heard one.
      The muffler delete with resonator still on doesn’t drone much at all in the cab and you still hear the exhaust tone from inside the cab.
      How ever if you are outside the truck it sounds amazing. I thought I needed to make it louder till I had someone drive my truck and listened as they drove it around.
      Again if no tools contact an exhaust shop and see what they would charge you for a muffler delete vs Fm 40 Ans make your choice from there.
      Good luck with your decision hope I could be some help for you.

      @@RyanBoden I did this within 2 months of having my 2021 5.0, same thing, multiple people asking what exhaust I have. Cylinder deactivation makes it sound like an exhaust brake or something when it’s running though

      @RyanBoden  Před 2 lety

      its okay if you have stock wheels and tires but i have 12'' wides35s and a 4'' lift so she kinda feels it on highway. it kicks in then needs to switch back all too often. I need to stop that feature. As for sound ,it just sounds slighly deeper and and like half ur motor just turned off lol
